This Jeep is amazing. It has just about every option you could possibly imagine. The Jeep was created to mimic
the Starwood Motors Full Metal Jacket Jeep. It is very similar and turns heads EVERYWHERE I go. After all of
these options below were added, the fenders and such were painted white to match the car.
It has the 3.83 gears in it and it moves really well. I have heard all the stories about the old jeeps not having
the proper power or gears for lifts and all the things like this. Well, I can tell you that this jeep MOVES and
has PLENTY of power. I am a sports car guy and I cannot imagine wanting or needing this jeep to move along any
faster than it already does.
It was purchased as a stock Jeep and had all of these upgrades added:
1. Rough Country 6 inch long arm lift $2,100.00

So, "why am I selling this car." Well, to be completely honest, it is just too much of a hassle for me. My wife
will not drive it and getting in and out of it in a suit for work every day is more difficult than I imagined. The
car is great. There is nothing mechanically wrong with the car. It is still under factory warranty. The ONLY
issues I am aware of with the car are a few rusty bolts on the tire carrier and a few paint nicks in several spots
from road rocks flinging up on the side. Everything else with this car is amazing. I am truly sad to be selling
it, it just simply doesn't make sense for me to have any longer.
I have only had it off road once. This wasn't a 'real' off road experience either. We were simply on dirt trails
and watching the 'real' guys do their thing.
I will assist the buyer in helping them find a transport company to haul the jeep (if necessary.) The car is also
available for inspection in Tulsa, Ok. I can pick you up at the airport if you wish to fly in and see the vehicle
in person.
Please ask me if you have any other questions. Also check my feedback to see my history and reputation on eBay.
Thanks!!

Chrysler resolves recall issue with NHTSA, will inspect, upgrade affected Jeeps
Tue, 18 Jun 2013Chrysler made big news earlier in the month by refusing a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty. Last week, NHTSA boss David Strickland countered by defending his agency's request for the recall of 2.7 million Jeep SUVs. Today marked the deadline for Chrysler to formally respond to NHTSA, and it seems that both parties have met in the middle with Chrysler inspecting and upgrading some of the affected vehicles without using the word "recall," which would constitute the admission of a defect; instead, Chrysler said that it is conducting a "voluntary campaign."
At issue on these vehicles is the positioning of the fuel tank behind the rear axle that could get damaged during a rear-end collision. NHTSA has stated that at least 51 people have been killed in rear-end collisions involving these Jeeps after the vehicles caught fire, to which Chrysler countered by pointing out that both models "met and exceeded" the requirements for fuel-system integrity.
As a compromise on the situation, Chrysler says that it will inspect all pre-2004 Grand Cherokees and pre-2007 Liberty models and, "if necessary, provide an upgrade to the rear structure of the vehicle." According to Automotive News, this upgrade will consist of adding a trailer hitch that will presumably better protect the rear-mounted gas tank. Vehicles already equipped with a factory or Mopar hitch will not be modified. Chrysler's official statement on the matter is posted below, but no additional information has been released, such as when the campaign will begin and how many vehicles could be affected.
2014 Jeep Cherokee uncovered with bold new look
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Jeep has been shuttling around Alfa Romeo-based test mules and camouflaged prototypes of its replacement for the current Liberty for some time now. Those heavily disguised vehicles may have offered a glimpse of the new Jeep, but a new set of production-line images from Jalopnik tell a much more complete story.
Jalopnik report indicates unequivocally that the Cherokee name will be re-upped in place of Liberty, though it doesn't spell out exactly where that thinking comes from, though a name change has been rumored for some time. Chances are good that the same source that delivered these factory images delivered the name, as well.
The Cherokee absolutely has some Alfa Romeo DNA in its makeup, the final product is far from looking like its Guilietta ancestor. The athletic, high-waisted design is relatively attractive from what we can see here, though the grille and headlight treatment are sure to cause a lot of ruckus when the Cherokee makes its official debut at the New York Auto Show in April. The very narrow, pointed headlamps are pinched in a not particularly Jeep-ish fashion, and the curved, short version of the seven-slot grille is far more rakish than anything that Jeep has produced to date.
AEV Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon
Fri, 28 Feb 2014
After their rented 2007 Hummer H3 failed them during the brutal Rallye Aicha des Gazelles in Morocco, Amy Lerner and her sister Tricia Reina were on a quest to find the most capable production off-roader for their next competition - they chose a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Their next mission was to find a company with the competence to configure it to win. After poring over Internet forums and perusing countless magazines for an outfitter who could meet their demanding requirements, they sent their bright orange JK ("Crush" is the official color) to American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) for some modifications.
The Michigan-based team at AEV kept the Jeep's 3.6-liter V6 and automatic transmission stock, but replaced the hood with a tall AEV Heat Reduction Hood and added an AEV Snorkel Kit for water crossings (it serves double-duty as its raised height helps to keep the air intake out of the kicked-up dust on the trail). Front and rear off-road bumpers were bolted in place, and AEV skid plates were added to provide additional undercarriage protection. A pair of IPF-900 off-road lights improve visibility, while a 10.2-gallon AEV Fuel Caddy (located behind the exterior spare) added some range. The suspension was upgraded with a 3.5-inch lift kit with Bilstein remote reservoir shocks, and 35-inch Falken Wildpeak A/T tires (LT285/70R17) were mounted at all four corners on AEV's beadlock wheels.
