For sale! I'm on to the next one...2010 Wrangler Unlimited, 6 speed manual. One owner, clean title in hand. Murdered out!!! NEW Goodyear 35x12.50-17 MT/R tires, 4 inch Full Traction long arm lift, 6 Rigid lights, 50 inch above windshield, 20 inch on bumper, and two sets of duallys, one of these sets are D2's on the pillars, the others are in the driving light buckets on the front bumper. LED headlights and tail lights, LED backup lights, Warn m8000 winch, full size spare with matching wheel on swing away bumper. Wheels are Rugged Ridge matte black alloys. Billstein shocks, 3/16 inch thick Expedition One steel bumpers and rock sliders, all rhino lined. Hard and soft tops, dual yellow top Optimas, Hi lift jack, 62,120miles, detailed and ready to go, come drive it, front end is unbelievably tight. All fluids and filters have been Amsoil since 5,000 miles. It was in a small accident two months ago, a Toyota Echo crossed the center line and hit the right front tire and bumper (I tried my best to get out of the way), airbag did not deploy, the front fender and grille were replaced. Cannot tell, paint matches perfectly. Every front end part is new including front differential, steering box, control arms, springs, shocks, steering damper, front bumper, drag link, track bar, bushings, disconnectable sway bar links and maybe a few other things. It took everything I had to get the shop, the appraiser and insurance company to agree to replace all this stuff. They said there was no need, but they could not prove to me that all this stuff was not perfectly straight. Long story short, lawyer got it done. As I said everything is very tight, the tightest front end of any jeep I have ever driven. Drives straight down any road and does not wander at all. Come look at it, bring your mechanic or friend that knows all about jeeps. The interior is pretty good, no big stains, but I do have kids and its not perfect, no tears in the interior, a few small scratches in the paint, but you have to look closely. Mostly highway miles, never been wheeled in the mud or rock crawling. Its a definate head turner. It gets compliments every time it is driven. It has a kenwood radio which does not work, a wire or something is unhooked. It worked perfectly before the body shop had it. I'm not a stereo expert, had this stuff installed by the local car audio place. I don't have time to get it fixed. It has 6 polk speakers, a Phoenix Gold ms 2125 amp and an alpine amp, I will throw in a jl audio dual 10 inch subwoofer box if you want it. No rust, clutch has a lot of life left, brake pads replaced not too long ago. Wish I could keep it, but I just bought a new pickup so it has to go. Please ask any questions and I will do the best I can to get back to you quickly. Its advertised locally, so I reserve the right to remove listing. I have 100 percent positive feedback, a few of which are 20k plus transactions. $500.00 deposit due thru paypal upon winning, the rest due upon or before picking up by way of cash or certified check. Will not take paypal for balance due to the fees. Thanks for looking, Greg

Jeep Cherokee won't get diesel until sales of oil-burning Grand Cherokee improve

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

Okay Jeep fans, you want more diesel options? Time to step up and prove it. The only way Jeep will offer a diesel powerplant in the Cherokee, according to brand head Mike Manley, is if sales of the Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel nearly double.
Currently, about eight percent of the Grand Cherokees sold feature the 3.0-liter, EcoDiesel V6. That's simply not enough to warrant the bringing an oil-burning Cherokee to the US market, despite the vehicle's presence in Europe, where it's sold with a 2.8-liter diesel V6.
"Cherokee is slightly different because of its weight and size. When I think about bringing Cherokee diesel here, I would like to see Grand Cherokee diesel get much higher than eight percent," Manley told Automotive News. "It would have to be in mid-double digits."

Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot boards meet to finalize merger

Tue, Dec 17 2019

MILAN/PARIS — The boards of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Peugeot will meet separately on Tuesday to discuss finalizing an initial agreement for a $50 billion merger to create the world's number four carmaker, sources said. A source close to FCA said the two companies could announce the signing of a binding memorandum early on Wednesday, followed by a conference call to explain further details later in the day. The two mid-sized carmakers announced plans six weeks ago for a tie-up to help them deal with big challenges in the industry, including a global demand downturn and the need to develop costly cleaner cars to meet looming anti-pollution rules. Ahead of the meetings, entities representing the Peugeot family, Etablissements Peugeot Freres (EPF) and FFP, unanimously approved a proposed memorandum of understanding for the planned merger, a source familiar with the situation said. FCA and PSA have said they would seek to finalize a deal by year-end to create a group with 8.7 million in annual vehicle sales. That would put it fourth globally behind Volkswagen, Toyota and the Renault-Nissan alliance. PSA's Carlos Tavares will be chief executive and FCA's John Elkann — the scion of Italy's Agnelli family, which controls FCA through their holding company Exor — chairman of the combined company. The group will include the Fiat, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Peugeot, DS, Opel and Vauxhall brands, allowing it to serve mass and premium passenger car markets as well as those for trucks and light commercial vehicles. Jeep Comanche Moab Concept: Hell yeah!

Mon, Mar 28 2016

The moment I saw the Jeep Renegade I knew it was a winner, at least in terms of styling. The Renegade's "face" is exactly what small 21st-century Jeeps should look like. It has loads of Jeep's visual heritage DNA – important! – that has been brought up-to-date in the best possible way. (Now if only they could graft that face on to the new-ish Cherokee...). Where the Renegade falls short is what's under the skin. Thanks to misguided marketing, it is saddled with a rather unremarkable USA-spec 2.4L four, undersized tires, so-so ground clearance, an iffy 9-speed automatic, and a questionable (available) low range. I don't mind the independent suspension; in fact I embrace it, as IFS/IRS is the future in terms of off-road suspension design. So, for me, the Renegade is a close-but-no-cigar vehicle, at least as it currently stands. This new Comanche, however, shows how the Renegade can evolve; both as a 4-door SUV, and in terms of how spin-off models can be developed. Big beefy tires, flared out fenders, and great ground clearance are the main ingredients that make this work visually. Still wish for a 3.6L V6 under the hood, but the 2.0L diesel isn't a bad alternative. Anyway, I think a Comanche pickup makes more sense than the predicted Wrangler-based pickup. Why? I'm not big on retro-vehicles in general. Rarely do they survive long term. Besides, the Comanche would be far more civilized and livable. I could see this Comanche pickup as a daily driver much more so than a Wrangler-based pickup. Yeah, I like and value creature comforts over ultimate off-road ability. I think most pickup buyers would agree. Finally, while there is a large devoted Wrangler following who would love a Wrangler-based pickup, I bet this Renegade-based Comanche would bring more new customers into the Jeep tent – especially over a much wider age demographic.
