This vehicle is the 2005 Jeep Wrangler SE with the 4.0 L, 6 cylinder engine option. Upgraded tires are less than a year old. Tires are P265/70R15, upgraded from stock. Included custom Husky floor liners are fit perfectly to the Jeep to provide superior protection and are exceptionally easy to keep clean. Included Clover Patch window roll keeps windows safe and secure while the top is down. Added Curt brand tow hitch is rated up to 4,000 lbs. Warn brand tow hooks have been added to the front of the vehicle. All upgrades were made in 2012.

Exterior paint is in excellent condition, other than what is specified in pictures. Two largest defects in the paint were pointed out in the picture (one is on the grill, the other is on the hood). The grill and the area around the windshield also have tiny white nicks, which is to be expected on a vehicle with such a flat front. We tried to photograph these as best we could. The nicks aren't very noticeable, which is why they don't show up very well in the photographs. The spare tire is not upgraded with the rest of the tires, because the tire holder will have to be replaced to accommodate the larger tire. It should be noted that even though there is a tow hitch, there is no wiring harness as the hitch was added for bike and cooler racks.

The vehicle is mechanically sound and we have not had any issues with it. The only problem that has ever come up has been when the vehicle sat without being driven over the winter, and the check engine light came on. We had a mechanic check it out and they said it was the O2 sensor, which sometimes happens from the vehicle sitting for too long. After it was reset, the light did not come back on.

Stellantis will enter joint venture with Samsung SDI for EV batteries

Tue, Oct 19 2021

SEOUL — South Korean battery maker Samsung SDI Co Ltd and global automaker Stellantis NV have agreed to jointly produce electric vehicle (EV) batteries for the North American market, a person familiar with the matter said on Tuesday. Samsung SDI, an affiliate of South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics, already has EV battery plants in South Korea, China and Hungary, which supply customers such as BMW and Ford. "The two companies (Samsung SDI and Stellantis) have struck a MOU (memorandum of understanding) to produce EV batteries for North America," the person with knowledge of the matter told Reuters. The source spoke of condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter. The person said the location of the battery joint venture is under review and will be announced later. In July, Reuters reported that Samsung SDI may build a battery plant in the United States, citing a company source. South Korea's Yonhap news agency earlier reported the two companies plan to build a factory in the United States, citing industry sources. Samsung SDI and Stellantis did not have immediate comment when reached by Reuters. Stellantis on Monday struck a preliminary deal with battery maker South Korea's LG Energy Solution (LGES) to produce battery cells and modules for North America. Shares of Samsung SDI were up 2.6% as of 0300 GMT, versus a 0.6% rise in the KOSPI benchmark index. Stellantis wants to trim 3,500 hourly U.S. jobs, UAW says

Wed, Apr 26 2023

WASHINGTON — Chrysler-parent Stellantis NV wants to cut approximately 3,500 hourly U.S. jobs and is offering voluntary exit packages, according to a United Auto Workers union letter made public Tuesday. The automaker is looking to reduce its hourly workforce offering incentive packages that include $50,000 payments for workers hired before 2007, UAW Local 1264 said in a letter dated Monday posted on its Facebook page. Stellantis spokeswoman Jodi Tinson declined to comment. A person briefed on the matter said the figure might be lower than the figure cited in the UAW letter. In late February, Stellantis indefinitely halted operations at an assembly plant in Illinois, citing rising costs of electric vehicle production. The action impacted about 1,350 workers at the Belvidere, Illinois, plant that built the Jeep Cherokee SUV and resulted in indefinite layoffs. The automaker has warned it may not resume operations as it considers other options. The UAW letter said openings created by workers leaving would be filled by workers on indefinite layoff. Stellantis said in February that about 40,000 U.S. hourly workers were eligible for profit sharing. Last week, UAW President Shawn Fain said Stellantis' decision to idle the Illinois plant was "a flat-out violation" of the union's contract with the UAW and is unacceptable. The UAW will enter talks with the Detroit Three before labor contracts expire in mid-September. Earlier this month, General Motors said about 5,000 salaried workers accepted buyouts to leave the automaker. GM CEO Mary Barra said February job cuts of a few hundred jobs and the 5,000 buyouts "provided approximately $1 billion towards" a $2 billion cost cutting target. Ford Motor Co recently announced significant job cuts in Spain, Germany and other parts of Europe and in August said it would cut a total of 3,000 salaried and contract jobs, mostly in North America and India.
