Looking to sell my 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4.0. It has 222,000 miles on it but it has almost no rust. The only rust is on top of the fenders where they usually rust, but it is just starting to bubble, not even close to rusting through yet. The frame is in great shape. I bought the jeep at 200,000 miles and it had a blown motor, so I found a 4.0 from a 98 wrangler that had 100k on it but ran royal purple synthetic oil from day 1. Ever since we put the motor in I ran synthetic oil and it still runs great, no leaks, doesn't burn oil. However, the transmission is shot, it blew trans fluid all over my driveway. I looked underneath and the fluid came from a line that blew off so I don't think the case is broken, it should be rebuildable. The transmission slipped ever since I bought it so it wasn't much of a surprise, but I don't have the time to put into this jeep right now, I'm hoping someone will bring it back to life, it has many many miles left in it. It has a bestop soft top that is in great condition, the only problem is the zipper is starting to come unstitched on the top corner of the back window. It hasn't been a problem for me, I took it to the car wash many times this winter and it doesn't leak, and the zipper still works fine. The jeep is set up for a/c, but with the motor swap it needs a different compressor. The 98 and 01 motors have different setups, the 01 mounts the compressor way down on the drivers side and the 98 mounts it up on top on the pass side. but everything under the dash is there and I still have the condenser, drier, and compressor that was originally on it. Since I bought the jeep a year ago, I put new u-joints in the front axle, new wheel bearing hubs, new shocks, new brakes, new drilled/slotted rotors, new diff oil front and back, new transfer case fluid, 6x8 speakers in the dash (and it has the factory premium sound with the speaker bar and sub), new headlights, mirror relocation brackets, and all new moog tie rods from 98 grand cherokee (bolt on upgrade, they are heavier solid steel compared to the hollow factory ones). Fog lights were not hooked up and are not included. I have the factory steering wheel, and I'm not sure if I want to sell the grant wheel or not. The clock spring in the steering column was broken when I got it, so the horn is a button the the floor and the airbag doesn't work. I had a cold air intake on it because the stock intake had a hole in one of the bends, but i still have the stock airbox and it will come with a new battery. I'm sure the is more I cant remember, if you have any questions, email me and I will respond right away, and if you want to come see it let me know. It will start up and run right away, but obviously wont move. If you are in the area I have a truck and would not mind helping with transport, you would just have to provide some gas money.
*********UPDATE******
had to mow the yard so i started up the jeep and tried moving it. it moved about 50 ft forward and stopped then i let it cool down and it backed up into its spot again, so the transmission is definitley rebuildable and it could even be the pump.

Jeep Wrangler Mojo and Cherokee Dakar teased ahead of Moab Easter Safari

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

Jeep has an annual tradition of debuting wild, new concepts during its Easter Jeep Safari, and this year looks to be no different. The automaker has already confirmed two of the six vehicles for 2014 - the Cherokee Dakar (pictured above) and Wrangler Mojo. This year's event runs in Moab, Utah, from April 12-20.
There are no official details about either of the concepts yet - Jeep will release more info on the new models next week. Judging by the pictures, though, the Cherokee Dakar appears to be lifted with some knobby off-road tires. The Wrangler Mojo looks to have a bulging hood that might hide a more powerful engine underneath.
Past vehicles at the Easter Jeep Safari have included a Hemi V8-powered Wrangler, a classically inspired pickup and modernized Jeep Forward Control. Since this is the brand's chance to express itself every year, hopefully it has some more sensational concepts up its sleeve. Scroll down to read the little information that has been revealed about this year's models so far.

Stellantis announces ‘Circular Economy’ business to drive revenue, decarbonization

Tue, Oct 11 2022

Stellantis has already announced its plans to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2038. Today, the automaker has announced a new business unit to help it reach that goal while generating 2 billion euros per year in revenue by 2030. The “Circular Economy” business will help make revenue less dependent on finite, rare and ecologically problematic materials. The Circular Economy model features what Stellantis calls a “4R” strategy, comprising remanufacturing, repair, reuse and recycling. The goal is to make materials last as long as they can, reducing reliance on the acquisition of those precious new materials in the future by returning them to the business loop when theyÂ’ve reached the end of their first life. Through these processes, Stellantis says it can save up to 80% raw material and 50% energy compared to manufacturing a new part. Remanufacturing, or “reman” in Stellantis shorthand, means dismantling, cleaning and rebuilding parts to OEM spec. Nearly 12,000 remanufactured parts are available for customers to purchase. Some remanufacturing is done in-house, and some with partners and through joint ventures. Repair is pretty obvious — fixing parts to put back into vehicles. This also consists of reconditioning, to make a vehicle feel like new. Stellantis boasts 21 “e-repair” centers for repairing electric vehicle batteries.  Reuse refers to parts still in good condition from end-of-life vehicles sold as-is. Stellantis says it has 4.5 million multi-brand parts in inventory. These are sold in 155 countries through the B-Parts e-commerce platform. Reuse also refers second-life options, such as using batteries outside of automotive purposes. Recycling involves dismantling parts and scraps back into raw material form that is then looped back into the manufacturing process. Stellantis says it has collected 1 million parts for recycling in the past six months. Recycling doesnÂ’t get counted in that aforementioned 2 billion euros of revenue, but it does save the company money on acquisition of raw materials. As for batteries, specifically, Stellantis expects this recycling business to ramp up after 2030, when the packs currently in service begin to reach the end of their lifecycle. Stellantis will use its new “SUSTAINera” label to denote parts that are offered as part of its Circular Economy business.

Jeep reveals annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari concepts

Wed, 20 Mar 2013

Jeep has unveiled its annual spate of concepts before the Easter Jeep Safari. Those start with the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept (below left), complete with the company's EcoDiesel V6 engine. Designers threw in a set of 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires wrapped around 17-inch Rubicon wheels, and a set of custom fender flares help keep all that rubber under wraps.
Meanwhile, the Wrangler Mopar Recon (below right) packs a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 good for 470 horsepower. All that grunt gets to the ground via a five-speed automatic transmission and a set of a Dana 60 axles frond and rear with 4.10 gears. The Recon also makes use of a 4.5-inch prototype long-arm kit and a set of prototype eight-lug bead lock wheels.
The Wrangler Stitch (below left) builds on the momentum of the Wrangler Pork Chop Concept. Engineers once again set out to strike as much weight as possible from the vehicle, and actually managed to trim the curb weight down to 3,000 pounds. That effort has given the machine the same power to weight ratio as the Grand Cherokee SRT8. Plenty of carbon fiber, door deletes and a chrome moly roll cage all help trim those pounds, and a set of DanyTrac Pro Rock 44 axles with 4.88 gears and ARB lockers front and rear let this machine scramble over whatever is in its path.
