This is a nice Jeep that I use daily. It is a 5-speed stick with a 4.0L, 6 cylinder engine. It has power steering, power brakes, air conditioner/heater, HARD TOP, cruise control, tilt steering, heavy duty tow hitch (I have never towed anything) and an AM/FM CD. The radio has a lot of static, but the CD player works great. It drives great and everything works. I bought this one year ago and have repaired/replaced the following: 2 O2 sensors, oil pressure sending unit, new brakes, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, filters, radiator, air cond compressor/dryer, air/heat control panel in dash, battery, all hoses and belts. Then, I spent about $2000 for 5 Mickey Thompson wheels, 5 General LT26570R15 Grabber AT2 tires and fender flares. The tires have about 2000 miles and I have not taken this off road. I spent all the time and money fixing this up for the next guy cuz I want to move onto something bigger! This jeep is sold AS-IS with no warranty implied. Buyer is responsible for all expenses related to pick-up/transportation from my location. Questions? Call 606-282-8067.

Millionth Jeep Wrangler JK to roll off line this morning
Fri, 17 May 2013According to a report on the Chrysler Communications Facebook page and one fairly grainy image of the production line, at around 11:00AM Eastern this morning, the one-millionth Jeep Wrangler JK will roll out of the company's Toledo assembly plant.
The third-generation or "JK" Jeep Wrangler has been around since the 2007 model year, and has obviously been more popular than ever. With a greater than ever number of trim levels, two-door and four-door Unlimited models and hardy off-roading Rubicon packages, the JK offers more to choose from than ever for those looking for something in a traditional Jeep. In fact, with the modern 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 powering it, the 2012 model year saw more than 140k Wrangers sold here in the US; the best-ever figure for the model.
With a model refresh due out for the Wrangler in 2015 (along with the likely addition of a diesel engine option), we expect that sales will continue to roll right along, too.
Retro Review covers that Jeep Wrangler TJ you wanted in high school
Fri, May 8 2015The Jeep Wrangler TJ holds a dear place in my heart. When they were introduced, the return to circular headlights helped pull my dad into the dealer, and he bought one. A few years later, I learned how to drive a stick in that Jeep. Now, MotorWeek has fired up the time machine for a look at the '97 Wrangler as part of the Retro Review series. One of the great things about these videos is that they offer a chance to see if nostalgia lives up to reality. In this situation, that seems to be the mostly case. Even when new, MotorWeek finds a lot to praise about the TJ, especially in terms of handling and style. It's not all perfect, though, with a major complaint about the braking. Watch the clip to see if the show's take on the Wrangler lives up to your memories of them, too.
Chrysler set to make $266M-investment into 8-speed transmission production
Wed, Dec 10 2014Chrysler will shortly make a significant $266-million investment into its Kokomo, IN transmission factory in a bid to expand production of its eight-speed automatic transmissions. The gearboxes, which are built under license from Germany's ZF Friedrichshafen, have been well received by customers and critics, and according to an SEC filing obtained by Automotive News, the transmissions will eventually find their way to all of Chrysler's rear-drive offerings (Viper and heavy-duty Ram models, aside). According to AN, a Chrysler spokesman says the investment has not been confirmed, but once it is, it'll mark the company's latest in a growing line of investments at the facility. Chrysler has poured $1.5 billion into Kokomo since 2009.
