Up for sale is a really solid 1990 Jeep Sahara. If you have had Jeeps before you will know by looking at the pictures that this one is extremely clean/solid for its age. Since last December it has had a new starter and new rear brakes. Engine runs/idles flawlessly, clutch engages just as it should, transmission pulls very strong at low rpms with no vibrations or hesitations. Only thing I would have adjusted are the syncros as getting into reverse at times is a little tricky. Four wheel drive works but the engaged light does not light up on the dash. Body mounts are all there and are in great condition. The floors for this year Jeep are in incredible condition along with most of the undercarriage. The body is in above average condition as well although there have been some areas patched. Original interior is in fantastic condition for its age with virtually no tears or holes. The dash is in perfect condition....even the clock still works! The original radio has been replaced with a working JVC cd player/radio. Windshield has been replaced and is crystal clear. There is a like new 2 inch received trailer hitch installed as well. If you have been looking for an older jeep don't let this one pass you buy as you would have to look long and hard for one in this kind of shape. I have taken a bunch of pictures so if you should be able to see anything you may need to look at. Jeep reveals annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari concepts
Wed, 20 Mar 2013Jeep has unveiled its annual spate of concepts before the Easter Jeep Safari. Those start with the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept (below left), complete with the company's EcoDiesel V6 engine. Designers threw in a set of 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires wrapped around 17-inch Rubicon wheels, and a set of custom fender flares help keep all that rubber under wraps.
Meanwhile, the Wrangler Mopar Recon (below right) packs a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 good for 470 horsepower. All that grunt gets to the ground via a five-speed automatic transmission and a set of a Dana 60 axles frond and rear with 4.10 gears. The Recon also makes use of a 4.5-inch prototype long-arm kit and a set of prototype eight-lug bead lock wheels.
The Wrangler Stitch (below left) builds on the momentum of the Wrangler Pork Chop Concept. Engineers once again set out to strike as much weight as possible from the vehicle, and actually managed to trim the curb weight down to 3,000 pounds. That effort has given the machine the same power to weight ratio as the Grand Cherokee SRT8. Plenty of carbon fiber, door deletes and a chrome moly roll cage all help trim those pounds, and a set of DanyTrac Pro Rock 44 axles with 4.88 gears and ARB lockers front and rear let this machine scramble over whatever is in its path.

Here, Top Gear sets up a three-way drag race against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and the results show just how quickly these high-riding models can cross the quarter mile. The Cherokee SRT is the patriotic choice among the three, but it's down on power in this fight. Meanwhile, the Range Rover's menacing growl sounds the best, and the Cayenne Turbo S has the most horsepower. You'll have to watch the video to see which SUV will win this battle. Related Video:
Freak accident during Jeep demonstration turns fatal
Mon, 20 May 2013A 20-year-old woman was killed in Edmonton, Canada on Satuday, reports CTV News, in a freak accident resulting from a rollover during a Jeep demonstration. As part of a fundraising enthusiast event called "Jeeps Go Topless," the driver of one Jeep Wrangler drove up and onto the top of the tire of another.
CTV reports that the owner of the topmost Jeep then switched the vehicle off, posed for pictures and then dismounted from his vehicle. His movement off of the Jeep apparently caused it to tip over, crushing a woman who was on top of an adjacent vehicle. Edmonton police are currently investigating more fully what caused the parking lot accident to occur. Scroll below to watch the CTV News video report about this tragic incident.
