I put right at 700 miles on it since as you can see in the picture of the speedometer. The tranny and transfer case were flushed and filled with fresh oil, it shifts perfect and goes in and out of 4 wheel drive with ease. The front axle housing and rear axle housing were also flushed and filled with fresh oil. The gears looked awesome."

This jeep has been completely redone. The body was taken off, completely sanded, primed and painted night hawk black pearl with three coats of clear. The underneath was completely hydroblasted and undercoated. The frame was completely taken apart, sandblasted, primed and repainted with a single base clear coat. All of the painting and prep work was done at a local body and paint shop.As you can see in the pictures every nut, bolt and everything that has anything to do with the frame and suspension was redone including all new prothane body bushings, rough country shocks with new booths and a 1" shackle lift. The motor was refreshed with all new bearings and gaskets, the cylinders were horned and new rings installed.A valve job was done to the head and all the springs checked out perfect. All the hoses and vacuum lines are brand new.The engine had right at 147,000 miles before it was refreshed. I put right at 700 miles on it since as you can see in the picture of the speedometer. The tranny and transfer case were flushed and filled with fresh oil, it shifts perfect and goes in and out of 4 wheel drive with ease. The front axle housing and rear axle housing were also flushed and filled with fresh gear oil. The gears looked awesome. The inside had carpet which I removed and had replaced with smae material that is used for spray in bedliners for trucks, it came out perfect.I purchased the jeep a little over a year from a guy who had it for sale on the side of the road. It didn't have a single dent or rust spot on it. It ran and drove perfect but I already had it in my mind that I was going to redo it from top to bottom. I added and replaced many things in and on this jeep. Add ons to mention a few was the white backs that I install on all of the gauges, new JVC radio with a 200 watt amp(located in the center console), VDP sound bar and a 6" base tube. Brand 15" Devtno rims 30X9.50R15 Mud Rover Dunlop tires. New chrome mirrors, new cover king neosupreme seat covers on all 3 seats, rugged ridge rollbar cushions, chrome inserts on the front grill and headlights with chrome rear steps. As u can see I modified the front bumper off of a 2012 jeep with the tow hooks and fully functional lights in the bumper. Not pictured is a brand new rampage soft top with all the hardware including the top half of the doors with zip up windows. The 2 side windows and the back window is tinted. I put it on once since having it but when summer got here I took it back off. The jeep stays inside my garage and has never been taken out in the rain or driven off road since it has been redone.I replaced a whole lot of things on this jeep just to mention a few, radiator, just about every sensor on the motor, gas tank, both front and back brakes, hoses, spark plugs, spark plug wires, dist. cap and rotor, thermostat, manifold gasket, tail pipe just to mention a few.Forgot to mention, this thing has A/C which blows very very very cold. The reserve is set alot lower than what I have invested in this thing , but my lost is your gain. You won't be disappointed!

2015 Easter Jeep Safari Concepts First Drive

Wed, Apr 8 2015

Imagine if once a year your grandmother made a chocolate cake. Not a chocolate cake, that chocolate cake. Blow-your-mind chocolate cake. But she won't ever let you have any – you can only have the spatula and whatever's left over in the mixing bowl. And you don't care. You look forward to that spatula and bowl every year because – "Gadzooks!" – that is some stupendous cake. For us, that cake is the Easter Jeep Safari. An annual pilgrimage to Moab, Utah for a taste of what Fiat-Chrysler's off-road brand has cooked up in its Design Dome. "No, you can't have any," the company tells us, "but you can taste it here, then dream about it until next Easter." In Detroit, Jeep gave us a close look at the seven concepts it built for this year's 49th annual event. Then it went a step further and took those show cars to Mill Canyon, UT, to crawl the red rocks in Jeep's natural habitat. After all, the company calls Moab, "Our home away from home." And it's not true that we never get more than a taste of Jeep's conceptual goodness – 2011's JK8 pickup conversion kit is a slice of Safari creation we can now take home, for instance, as are the hood decals that adorned two of the concepts we drove this year. Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, told us that the evolution of Jeep Performance Parts came from listening to journalists and customers in his first year on the job in 2010. So there's that. But still, we want more cake. Like a full-on production Wrangler Africa. These being one-of-a-kind prototypes traipsing through a canyon of nearly immovable objects, we didn't go fast, we didn't go far, we didn't push hard. But we did drive all the Easter Jeeps, and even just this small taste was outstanding. View 30 Photos Jeep Chief While we listened attentively to the detailed spiels on all this conceptual candy, one question ran through our minds: "How am I going to get in the Chief before everyone else?" And we could see the same thought every colleague's face, those scheming bastards. And why not? The Ocean Blue tribute to the venerable Cherokee of old grabbed everyone's attention since the first teaser images weeks before the event, in part because the vintage truck is up there with mermaids for rarity and lustworthiness. Anything that goes this far in obeisance to that classic Jeep is always going to score huge marks. The Chief is a four-door Wrangler underneath, but in many ways it feels nothing like a Wrangler.

Jeep: Portraits

Mon, Feb 8 2016

Jeep looks back on 75 years of four-wheeling. The brand's tough vehicles have carried everything from soldiers to sunbathers. The brand wants you to remember all the highlights, from the beaches of Normandy to the fictional Jurassic Park – one a remarkable accomplishment of human determination in the face of war, the other a really successful movie. Do you think Jeep's spot captures the essence of the brand? Vote it up or down. Marketing/Advertising Jeep Super Bowl Commercials 2016 super bowl ad

2nd annual Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards revealed

Tue, Jan 13 2015

There was some absolutely fantastic auto advertising in 2014, ranging from funny to inspiring. Marking the best of it from the past year, the Second Annual One Show Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards were announced during the 2015 Detroit Auto Show (full disclosure: Autoblog was among the award's sponsors, and Editor-in-Chief Sharon Carty was a voter). Unlike previously, there were no brands with dominance over the list this time. Presented by The One Club, the awards have an international scope and hand out honors in a variety of categories. In the Broadcast TV group, there were three winners this year. First, there was The Scripted Life from Audi for the Q3 about breaking out of life's monotony. Also, Dad's Sixth Sense from Hyundai marketed the safety features in the Genesis. Finally, Unbreakable Drivers showed manly men being tested for the Toyota Hilux in Australia. The Online Video prize went to the fantastic The Epic Split spot from Volvo Trucks starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. The best Interactive ad was the Honda video titled The Other Side for the Civic Type R, and the Experiential Advertising nod was for the Volkswagen Eyes on the Road clip that showed the dangers of texting and driving to a theater full of moviegoers in Hong Kong. Finally, the Public Choice Award went to the BMW commercial called Hello Future using the words of sci-fi author Arthur C. Clarke for the i8. In the award not for videos, Jeep won the Print/Outdoor category for its Upside Down campaign. Check the ads out below, which show different animals when upside down. Also, look farther down for all of the winning videos and read their full announcements.
