1989 Custom Jeep Wrangler - Clear Title - Frame Off Restoration
This beautiful 1989 YJ has had a high quality frame-off restoration. It is fun to drive and is completely street legal. (The registration and inspection expired last month). The frame was coated with a heavy duty black paint. The interior floor and the entire underbody was completely rhino lined. It has a a 4 inch RANCHO suspension lift and a 2 inch body lift. The 4.2 L six cylinder was replaced with a crate Chevrolet 350 and a GM automatic transmission. The jeep runs and sounds great! New transfer case. It has a new Flowmaster 40 dual exhaust system. 4 Big O - Big Foot Tires 35 inch off-road tires. Excellent traction (70% tread remaining). Mickey Thompson Classic III Lock alluminium wheels. 10,000 lb Superwinch mounted on front winchplate (with remote). Has heavy duty storage rack mounted to rear trailer hitch and braced to rear bumper. Great for hunting or a cooler. Two new Best Top front seats. high powered sound system with Xplode speakers in rear. B & M shifter. Hard top and bikini top.

All mechanical work on this Jeep was done right and professionally. The Jeep is mechanically sound and completely reliable.
Problems: Windshield is cracked and the windshield wiper arms are missing. The got lost when I had the Jeep painted and I have not replaced them.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

After two decades of assembling its Grand Cherokee sport utility vehicle, the American automaker has finally delivered a world-class off-roader capable of taking on everything in its segment - and more - with a high likelihood of coming out on top.
And if you drove last year's model, it's time to climb behind the wheel again as Jeep has significantly updated the SUV for 2014 with a bold new exterior appearance, an upgraded interior with enhanced electronics and a new transmission that completely transforms the way it drives.
We recently spent a full week with a dark blue 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4, a well-optioned model fitted with the standard gasoline-fed V6. While it didn't have the punch of the range-topping V8-powered SRT8, or the fuel-sipping economy of its new EcoDiesel sibling, the high-volume variant left us quite impressed.
Jeep leads list of 25 most patriotic brands
Thu, 04 Jul 2013It's not unusual to feel extra patriotic this time of year, what with the Fourth of July being today and all. As if to celebrate, New York-based research firm Brand Keys conducted a study among 4,500 consumers about what brands they find to be the most patriotic. According to the Detroit Free Press, Jeep took top honors in this study, besting other American stalwart brands including Coca-Cola, Levi's and Hershey's.
Interestingly, the only other automotive brand to make the list was Ford, in the 16th spot (motorcycle fans take note - Harley-Davidson claimed the No. 13 slot). This means consumers found Jeep to be more patriotic than any of the brands in the General Motors portfolio, including Chevrolet, which has long used American themes in its advertising over the decades.
According to Brand Keys, Jeep came in "with a score of 98 out of 100 on a scale representing consumers' emotional engagement expectations," the Detroit Free Press reports. Be sure to read the report to scan the entire Top 25 list for yourself.
Jeep Cherokee won't get diesel until sales of oil-burning Grand Cherokee improve
Tue, 01 Jul 2014Okay Jeep fans, you want more diesel options? Time to step up and prove it. The only way Jeep will offer a diesel powerplant in the Cherokee, according to brand head Mike Manley, is if sales of the Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel nearly double.
Currently, about eight percent of the Grand Cherokees sold feature the 3.0-liter, EcoDiesel V6. That's simply not enough to warrant the bringing an oil-burning Cherokee to the US market, despite the vehicle's presence in Europe, where it's sold with a 2.8-liter diesel V6.
"Cherokee is slightly different because of its weight and size. When I think about bringing Cherokee diesel here, I would like to see Grand Cherokee diesel get much higher than eight percent," Manley told Automotive News. "It would have to be in mid-double digits."
