2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee spied looking refreshed

Jeep is preparing another facelift for the Grand Cherokee. Spied here undergoing testing, the updates to the upscale SUV look like they'll be fairly limited in scope. The current WK2-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee was introduced in 2010 as a 2011 model, replacing the round-eyed WK model that had been around since 2005. It underwent a mild update last year and is now gearing up for another round. This refresh appears to have a new front fascia with wider-spaced grille slats, and though hidden from view, will likely incorporate a restyled bumper with new fog lights. Expect some revisions inside the cabin to accompany the new face, and some updated engines, too. The current base model's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 is anticipated to offer more power and get better fuel economy, plus offer flex-fuel capability. Of course, the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 will also likely be offered, and if we're lucky, an even more powerful SRT performance model, too. The updated JGC is expected to arrive in the first quarter of the new year. Jeep will be marking its 75th anniversary then, so expect some special editions of this and other models in the portfolio to arrive in true Jeep style. Sunday Drive: Variety is the spice of life

If there's any one new vehicle the entire world is anxiously waiting for, it's the Jeep Wrangler. Yes, of course the iconic off-roader has a loyal following here in America, but you could plop a Wrangler pretty much anywhere on the globe and everybody will know what it is. Put simply, the redesigned 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL has big, muddy shoes to fill, and the readers of Autoblog are just as interested in the Wrangler's rebirth as anyone else. Moving along, we were fortunate enough last week to spend a bit of time in nearly every version of the venerable Volkswagen Golf all in one day. There isn't a Golf we don't like, but there's one, easily identifiable by its three-digit name, that stands above all the rest: GTI. We think it's the best Golf you can buy, even if there's an R-badged variant that slots above the GTI in VW hierarchy. Rounding out our recap are three vehicles that could hardly be more different. The 2019 GMC Sierra, which was seen wearing pretty light camouflage, is a truck. The Lamborghini Terzo Millennio – which isn't going to go on sale, ever, at any price – is a conceptual supercar. And the Honda CB1000R is a retro-themed naked standard motorcycle. Chrysler accelerates Jeep recall repairs from 2018 to March

You may remember that Jeep's unusual fix for this recall involves fitting a trailer hitch.
The recall of about 1.5 million models of the 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty and 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee over fuel tanks may finish far sooner than originally estimated. In a new filing from Jeep's parent, Chrysler Group, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company says that it can complete the repairs for the affected vehicles by March 2015, much sooner than the previous estimate of sometime in 2018. Jeep predicts the total cost of the campaign will be around $151 million.
