This is a 1987 jeep wrangler yj project jeep. The engine is the 4.2 straight six cylinder and the transmission is a ba10 five speed manual. The front is a dana 30 and the rear is the dana 35 both with 3.55 gears. The running gear, transmission, transfer case and engine are all in good working order. The engine has an aftermarket valve cover as the original was leaking (common problem). The engine is also fitted with an hei distributor to replace the problematic stock unit. The frame is absolutely rust free and has no damage or repairs. The picture of the fame near the steering box is pretty much how the entire frame looks with black paint still visible, which you hardly ever see. The rear upper shock mounts have been removed in preparation for a different design not because of rust. The body needs some work as you can see. The side panel was removed as a new one had been installed incorrectly by a body shop years ago. It will need that side panel (300 shipped here on ebay) and the rear curved quarter panel which is about 60 dollars. The floor under the roll bars will need a couple small patches as well. You will see the fold and tumble seat brackets are there but no seats are included. I have the roll cage and a bunch of extra parts that will go with the jeep. It has power steering and power brakes. It will need a new battery and cables and the exhaust was cut off after the muffler. I have a fuel tank I will include with the sale that is in excellent shape. The fuel tank fill hoses are new. I think I covered just about everything I can think of. I have a clear title that is ready to transfer. If you need more pictures or information please email, message me or call 509-261-0306 my name is Pat. This is a great project jeep for a great price. This jeep came from Wyoming originally and has spent the last few years in South Eastern Washington which is a dry area. Thanks for looking

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Jeep's Super 'Ute Is Fun Thrown In The Face Of Conventional Wisdom
Let's talk asses for a moment. What do they have to do with the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, you ask?
Well, we're here to tell you that this SRT can haul some. Lots of them, as a matter of fact: Jeep has increased the towing capacity of its most powerful SUV to 7,200 pounds. Assuming the average donkey weighs about 400 pounds, the Grand Cherokee SRT can haul ass to the tune of 18 burros, give or take a covered trailer or so, which is significantly more than it could in previous years. In 2013, the machine could manage 5,000 pounds, while the first generation was rated at just 3,500. The increase is mostly attributable to a new eight-speed automatic transmission and beefier rear axle, and it's a welcome update for those who'd like to use their SUV as, well, an SUV with an emphasis on utility.

Chrysler extending production of current Dodge Avenger, Jeep Wrangler, Grand Caravan

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Are you hesitant to pull the trigger on a brand new Dodge Avenger in hopes that a new one will be coming? Well, don't hold your breath. According to The Detroit News, Chrysler will be extending production of the current Avenger sedan through the end of 2015.
Originally, we heard that the company would kill the Avenger to better focus its midsize sedan efforts on the Chrysler 200 replacement. But then new reports stated there would indeed be an Avenger successor, and that we could see it as early as next January. This Detroit News report cites supplier sources confirming the extension of Avenger production, though Chrysler has not released an official statement on the matter.
These same suppliers say that the current Jeep Wrangler will live on through mid-2018 - that's right, another five years. The Detroit News reports that a replacement for the iconic, go-anywhere Jeep was due in mid-2016.
