Back in 1990 Chrysler Jeep decided to discontinue the American iconic vehicle known as the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. With a limited production of only 1560 being built for the 1991 model year, these are the most desired. Today this auction is for the rarest 1991 Grand Wagoneer that exists. In 1991 Spinnaker Blue was only offered on a custom ordered Jeep. According to Chrysler archives only 27 were ordered and only two were ordered with the factory sunroof. Well here is one of the two built. Will you find another in the US? No, the other is in Luxemburg in Western Europe.
Now this particular truck was a sunny weather truck that was kept in an acclimated garage for the first 21 yrs of its life. I have pampered the truck for the last two years. Truck recently was painted back the original Spinnaker Blue Pearl color. The paint on this truck was over 3k in just materials. It is absolutely stunning in every aspect. The wood grain vinyl is the same that was applied at the factory which you can tell by the edge bump guards. There are a few nicks in it but hey the truck has 63k miles can we expect it to be perfect. The trim moldings are beautiful. The stainless has all been polished to show room shine.  The windshield is brand new and has brand new rubber gasket as well. There are no leaks even from the factory installed sunroof. The correct sized whitewall tires are brand new and still have the factory paint lines on them as well as the nubs. A lot of attention was paid to the underside of this truck, there was over 50 hours of detail work done there. Looks as if it was new. Even though the factory foglights are not shown in the pictures they are included, they are left off to protect them during transport.
The interior is in excellent shape for being original; just take a look at the pictures. As told many times in life pictures speak a thousand words. Thanks that saves me on typing. The original radio is included with the sale but an aftermarket CD player is installed. The carpet is the same carpet that came with the Jeep. There is no substitute for the factory carpet. The aftermarket carpet is too thin and does not have the plush appearance of the original. The headliner in the Jeep is brand new and was just installed. The seats are free of any tears or major cracks; you just don’t find them in the condition of this one.
Mechanically this truck is perfect. The engine has had a complete reseal done. All new gaskets as well as head gaskets and new oil pump. Even warm this one holds 45 psi oil pressure. The transmission is brand new with all new internals. All fluids in engine, transmission, transfer case, differentials, antifreeze and brakes are new. This is the truck you want if you are looking for dependability. The truck will include a full tank of ethanol free gas for the new owner, because with this truck you might not want to drive it every day, it is not replaceable. Again this truck is only one of two built. I wish I could keep this particular Jeep but there have been many things come up recently that it must go. Parts for these trucks are readily available from Teamgrandwagoneer.com.
OK now the must add part. A 2000 dollar deposit must be made within 24 hours of auctions end. I will not offer second chance so if you receive a second chance offer it is not legitimate. Final payment is due within 7 days of auctions end by means of a bank wire or cash. I reserve the right to stop this auction for a local sale. I have it listed elsewhere on the internet and have many interested but trying to find the funding. If you would like to make an offer feel free to do so. If you need to arrange financing please do so before bidding and not after.  If you need to ask permission from anyone mom, dad, wife, neighbor, in laws please ask first not after bidding. Please remember this is an extremely rare truck and the twin to this truck sold two months ago for 65k.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Choose Your Own Adventure... But Choose Wisely
Jeep has got you covered. We can say this without even having to know what it is you want, because there's hardly an option or configuration that you won't find in the 2014 Grand Cherokee. There are three different engines, three different four-wheel-drive systems (plus rear-wheel drive), four different trim levels - not counting SRT - two different suspension setups and five different settings for various off-road terrain conditions. If you happen to check the box for Quadra-Lift, you'll also have five different ride-height settings for the driver-selectable air suspension.
As you might expect with so many customization possibilities, the way a buyer checks the options sheet can have a profound effect on the final product and its capabilities, to say nothing of its price. Nowhere is that more true than with the Grand Cherokee's choice of engines, with the brand-new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 stealing the spotlight from the still excellent gasoline-fueled 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 powerplants that carry over from last year. No matter which engine you choose, though, it will be paired up with Jeep's new standard eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF. This, ladies and gentlemen, is very good news indeed.

Jeep Wrangler Mojo and Cherokee Dakar teased ahead of Moab Easter Safari

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

Jeep has an annual tradition of debuting wild, new concepts during its Easter Jeep Safari, and this year looks to be no different. The automaker has already confirmed two of the six vehicles for 2014 - the Cherokee Dakar (pictured above) and Wrangler Mojo. This year's event runs in Moab, Utah, from April 12-20.
There are no official details about either of the concepts yet - Jeep will release more info on the new models next week. Judging by the pictures, though, the Cherokee Dakar appears to be lifted with some knobby off-road tires. The Wrangler Mojo looks to have a bulging hood that might hide a more powerful engine underneath.
Past vehicles at the Easter Jeep Safari have included a Hemi V8-powered Wrangler, a classically inspired pickup and modernized Jeep Forward Control. Since this is the brand's chance to express itself every year, hopefully it has some more sensational concepts up its sleeve. Scroll down to read the little information that has been revealed about this year's models so far.

Jeep Grand Cherokee, BMW i8, Ford F-150 win 2015 Green Car Awards in DC [w/video]

Tue, Jan 27 2015

There were three shiny trophies handed out at the Washington Auto Show last week by Green Car Journal, and they went to three different examples of what "green" means in the automotive industry today. The Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel won the award for the 2015 Green SUV of the Year, the BMW i8 was named the 2015 Luxury Green Car of the Year and the Ford F-150 took the 2015 Green Car Technology Award honor. There is a case to be made that the aluminum body of the new Ford truck will make a bigger impact in the overall fuel usage in the US than almost any other vehicle, given the numbers of F-150s that Ford sells each year. The B20 biodiesel-capable Jeep gets up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway. And the i8 puts all sorts of new, fuel-saving technologies into an attractive package. Looking over the winners, and the list of finalists you can see in our photo gallery, and you can see that the definition of green is expanding every year. You can watch Green Car Journal editor Ron Cogan hand out the 2015 awards in the video below and we'll for sure be paying attention to what wins next year. 2015 Luxury Green Car of the Year, Green SUV of the Year and Green Car Technology Winners Announced WASHINGTON, Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Car Journal has named the Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel its 2015 Green SUV of the Year™ and the BMW i8 its 2015 Luxury Green Car of the Year™, with the aluminum-bodied Ford F-150 earning the magazine's 2015 Green Car Technology Award™. Winners were determined by a jury of Green Car Journal editors and automotive experts. The prestigious awards were announced in Washington, D.C. today at a Green Car Awards™ press conference held during the Washington Auto Show's Public Policy Day at the Washington Convention Center. "These are truly commendable vehicles representing the 'best-of-the-best' in so many ways," said Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of the Green Car Journal and CarsOfChange.com. "The auto industry's very early focus on small cars and efficiency-for-environment tradeoffs has evolved to now include a more dynamic field of 'greener' models in all vehicle classes. Those wanting greater efficiency or better environmental performance are no longer constrained by limited choices or vehicle types that fall outside their top purchase preferences.
