1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
About twice a year Grand Wagoneer's of this color (Spninnaker Blue) come up for sale on eBay.
About once every other year you might find one in this color and in this kind of shape somewhere on-line.
I know. I've owned six Grand Wagoneer's over the last 10 years.
I purchased this truck in fair condition from the second owner in North Carolina back in November of 2012.
It's been lovingly restored by two professional shops since then.
I am selling it for exactly what I have into it. Well honestly, I'm selling it for less than I have into it but don't tell my wife. I'm happy to show serious buyers all of my receipts AND put you in touch with both the body shop and mechanics who did all the work on the Jeep.
In addition I have the original owner's contact information ( he owned it from 1988- 2012).
The former owner changed out the headliner. The new headliner is in great shape and the colors match the interior very well.
I have the original window sticker as well as his notebook containing every dollar (other than gas) that he ever spent on the Jeep, as well as the date and the description of the repair! WOW!
This vehicle is now in EXCELLENT shape. It doesn't need a thing! Everything and I mean EVERYTHING operates as it should. The ride is smooth and quiet on the road even at 75 MPH.
Steering is straight and true. it's a pleasure to drive and of course it turns a lot of heads. I've had literally dozens of people tell me it's the most beautiful car they have ever seen!
The former owner must have used seat covers and floor mats because I'd swear the carpet and seats look brand new. Really. Even the drivers seat. Even the rear corners of the cargo area carpet.
All new brake work, all new ball joints, all new wood grain vinyl and wood grain trim. New Blue Tooth radio, New fully functioning rear cargo window, rebuilt gas tank.
One fender was rusted and replaced. it has a new fan clutch assembly, fuel pump, fuel sending unit, the rear transfer case was repaired, the drivers side window motor was replaced, exhaust manifolds were replaced,, etc.
I'm happy to take pictures of anything on the Jeep for your inspection.
I'd URGE any serious buyer to have the car inspected (or I'll be happy to take it to any shop in or around Everett, WA. that you'd like) .
Sorry no trades. I would consider holding the car for a few months but only with a non refundable deposit of no less than $10K.
On May-13-13 at 09:28:26 PDT, seller added the following information:
The engine was replaced when the truck had 66,000 miles on it. That means the current engine only has 36,000 miles on it. Also, contact me at pauld@construx.com for more pictures.

Top horsepower-per-dollar cars in 2017
Tue, Feb 17 2015Bang for the buck. That quasi-scientific statistic is bandied about by motor heads everywhere from classrooms to barrooms, though the truth of the matter is that it's exceedingly complex to measure. A fair performance-per-dollar index would include something like cross-referencing MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price) with point-to-point times on a track or driving route, which is obviously hard to do comprehensively. But, for the sheer joy of talking about cars and playing with a big spreadsheet, there's always the horsepower-per-dollar index, which is more straightforward, albeit hilariously flawed. There are vagaries even with this simple formula, of course: MSRP for vehicles can change at a moment's notice, to say nothing of the bottom-line shifting that happens with local deals or showroom negotiation. For this list we're running with the straight MSRP wherever possible, and as recently reported as we can get it. All the vehicles on this list are 2017 models, and all trims are reported where the lowest price and differing power levels intersect. Some choices were made for personal preference and some for sanity, avoiding things like all 48 trim levels of the Ford Transit, all with the same horsepower). If this list were a simple top ten, or even a top fifty, you'd be bored to tears with all the red, white and blue that is represented. Following perfectly with conventional wisdom, American cars really do lead the world where hp/$ is concerned. So, for the sake of variety (and the sheer joy of seeing a minivan 'win' one round of this thing) I've sorted out some top five and bottom five lists for broad power categories. Let's dive in. Less Than 100 Horsepower Okay, okay, this is hardly a category we'll grant you. But we've often tried to click off all the sub-100-hp cars on sale in the US, and making this list gave us an excuse. It also illustrates that none of these smallish vehicles bring cheap horsepower to the table - for that you'll need a motorcycle. The segment-leading Chevy Spark (above) asks just over $139 for each hp, and that Smart Fortwo Electric Drive has hp on sale for about the same price as its very distant family cousin, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (insert your favorite Smart joke here... we know you want to).
Jeep Cherokee faces on-sale delay
Sat, 23 Mar 2013A report in The Wall Street Journal looks at some of the obstacles to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee that go beyond its mootable yet "very contemporary" looks, almost all of them based on Fiat's financial position. Starting with that sheetmetal, in defense of it SRT president Ralph Gilles and Jeep design head Mark Allen said they wanted to "make sure the design still looks modern five years from now."
The WSJ piece doesn't cite longevity as a factor, instead saying that its features originated in a design for an Alfa Romeo, the transformation into a Jeep design meant allowing Chrysler get it to market more quickly and save "hundreds of millions of dollars" in engineering.
The need for Fiat to save money while it weathers the European situation has cut budgets for development, engineering and the pace of retooling the Toledo, Ohio plant to build the Cherokee. In a familiar case of snowballing at work, among the effects will be pushing back the Cherokee's volume sales date and delaying updates to some of Chrysler's other products.
Chrysler accelerates Jeep recall repairs from 2018 to March
Thu, 17 Jul 2014
You may remember that Jeep's unusual fix for this recall involves fitting a trailer hitch.
The recall of about 1.5 million models of the 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty and 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee over fuel tanks may finish far sooner than originally estimated. In a new filing from Jeep's parent, Chrysler Group, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company says that it can complete the repairs for the affected vehicles by March 2015, much sooner than the previous estimate of sometime in 2018. Jeep predicts the total cost of the campaign will be around $151 million.
