Grand Wagoneer 4wd 1988 Jeep / Wagoneer on 2040-cars
Paradise, California, United States
This beautiful Jeep GRAND WAGONEER very good condition. Recently It has received a lot of TLC bringing it to its current beautiful condition.
This is a RUST FREE California car. It is currently registered in California and passed CA. strict Smog testing. The power leather and cloth seats were cleaned and the leather was protected with a good conditioner. Carpets were steam cleaned and a minor repair to the carpet in the cargo area was completed. The fuel tank was removed, inspected and a new sending unit and filler hoses and fuel cap were installed. New under hood insulation and exterior rubber glass wipe moldings were installed. All of the power windows and door locks were put in working condition. The vehicle is equipped with cruise control, power seats, power windows and door locks, aftermarket Stereo CD player sounds great, a battery disconnect switch and a trailer hitch . The car was then converted to FUEL INJECTION using a CA legal Howell Fuel Injection system which was professionally installed. By installing the injection system some of the smog equipment was removed including the smog pump, manifold tubes, and some vacuum lines, permissible under CA smog laws with this injection unit. This conversion cost over $2,000.00. At the same time new spark plugs, plug wiring, ignition coil, rotor cap, vacuum lines, fan belts, radiator hoses and thermostat were installed. Off to the transmission shop. While there the transfer case was removed and some bushings were replaced. The transmission was flushed twice and all fluids in the transmission and differentials were drained and replaced. At the paint shop a new coat of the factory original red paint color was applied. The vinyl wood on the outside is in very good to excellent condition. As far as I know it is original. Still needing attention. The AC unit is not working. It may work by adding freon but may need to be converted to the new standards. There is info on line on how to do this conversion if you choose not to have it professionally done. The oil pressure gauge generally pegs showing high pressure but occasionally reads in the 40 to 50# range, the dash clock has a mind of its own and does not hold the correct time. There is small amounts of oil on my garage floor indicating a slight oil leak. The headliner droops a bit on the passenger front side. The plastic coated trim above the tailgate window shows some discoloration and the clear plastic coating shows some peeling. The rear defogger wires may need some repair as the window tint was removed scraping some wires. Now you know what I know. Buyer will be fully responsible for arranging and paying for any and all transportation costs. Seller will provide a clear California title once funds are verified and received. A $500.00 deposit via Pay Pal will be required within 24 hrs. from the close of auction. Final payment will be discussed between buyer and seller. Full payment must be made within 72 hours from close of auction. Questions: Chuck (530) 876-9235 |

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel and SRT climb onto stage
Mon, 14 Jan 2013This is indeed a case of not knowing how much we wanted something until it arrived. We've been big fans of the Jeep Grand Cherokee ever since the new model arrived a couple of years ago, and while the update you see here might seem just a slight refresh, it's actually much more than that.
For starters, the 2014 Grand Cherokee marks the return of a diesel model here in the States, with Chrysler's new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 under the hood, churning out 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, all of the Grand Cherokee's usual off-road goodies are on hand, with moderate tweaks to make it an even more capable vehicle when the going gets rough. Both the gasoline-fed 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter V8 get the new eight-speed auto, as well.
The high-performance Grand Cherokee SRT also trudges on into the new model year, with very subtle tweaks found underneath the aggressive, slightly redesigned sheetmetal. The 6.4-liter Hemi V8 also gets eight-speed gearing, which Chrysler says will improve not only 0-60 times, but mid-range performance as well. Bring it on, we say.
FCA is setting a five-year strategy: Here's how the last one played out
Thu, May 31 2018We're slightly more than four years removed from Sergio Marchionne last five-year plan for FCA, a tell-all where the Italian-American automaker divulged its plans for the 2014 through 2018 model years. It was a grand affair, where Sergio told FCA investors that all was right in Auburn Hills, Alfa Romeo and Maserati were making comebacks, and the fifth-gen Dodge Viper received a mid-cycle refresh. You can read every last one of those past predictions right here. We're on our way to Europe to see Sergio's sequel, coming out Friday straight from FCA's Italian headquarters. (Bloomberg reports a plan to expand Jeep and Ram globally, combine Alfa Romeo and Maserati into a single division for an eventual spinoff, and downsizing Fiat and Chrysler. Also, EVs.) But before we arrive in Italy and find out exactly what Marchionne has planned for 2019 through 2023 as his last act as CEO, let's take a minute to tally up the results of his last term based on the same scoresheet we used in 2014. Now, we're only five months into 2018, so much of this — including vehicles like the Ram HD and Jeep Grand Wagoneer — could still debut this year. For those, we'll mark things TBD. We're not going to draw any conclusions or make any objectionable remarks. We're simply going to let the stats speak for themselves.
Stellantis reports surprising 2020 results, is 'off to a flying start'
Wed, Mar 3 2021MILAN — Low global car inventories and cost cuts should boost Stellantis's profit margins this year, though a shortage of semiconductors and investments in electric vehicles could weigh on results, the newly-formed automaker said on Wednesday. The forecast came as Stellantis, created by the January merger of Peugeot-maker PSA and Fiat Chrysler (FCA), reported better-than-expected results for 2020 that sent its shares up around 3% in morning trading. "Stellantis gets off to a flying start and is fully focused on achieving the full promised synergies (from the merger)," Chief Executive Carlos Tavares said in a statement. Stellantis is the world's fourth largest carmaker, with 14 brands including Fiat, Peugeot, Opel, Jeep, Ram and Maserati. It said 2021 results should be helped by three new high-margin Jeep vehicles in North America and a strong pricing environment there. The U.S. market has driven profits for years at FCA and starts off as the strongest part of Stellantis. The group's guidance assumes no more significant lockdowns caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic, which shuttered auto plants around the world last spring. Stellantis should also get a lift as its starts to implement a plan aimed at delivering over 5 billion euros a year in savings, without closing any plants. Tavares has also pledged not to cut jobs. But a pandemic-related global shortage of semiconductors, used for everything from maximizing engine fuel economy to driver-assistance features, could hurt business. Auto industry executives have said the shortage should ease by the second half of 2021. Stellantis said its "electrification offensive" could also weigh on results this year. Automakers are racing to develop electric vehicles to meet tighter CO2 emissions targets in Europe and this week Volvo joined a growing number of carmakers aiming for a fully-electric line-up by 2030. Stellantis plans to have fully-electric or hybrid versions of all of its vehicles available in Europe by 2025, broadly in line with plans at top rivals such as Volkswagen and Renault-Nissan, although Stellantis has further to go to meet that goal. The carmaker is targeting an adjusted operating profit margin of 5.5%-7.5% this year. That compares with a 5.3% aggregated margin last year: 4.3% at FCA and 7.1% at PSA excluding a controlling stake in parts maker Faurecia, which is set to be spun-off from Stellantis shortly.
