Todays auction is for a very nice original Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It is time to sell an American icon that everyone can afford. This is a 1990 model and they were made in very limited quantity. There were only 6,449 made in 1990. The 89-91 models are said to be the best of the breed. This Jeep was traded in on a restored example, I would have completely restored this one but it’s in great shape with some cracking in the vinyl wood grain. But hey my friends at Teamgrandwagoneer.com have replacement vinyl for around 600.00 if you wish to replace it. This truck has higher miles with 157k on the odometer, but it still runs as strong as a 60k mile example. There are no oil leaks. The truck has a recent paint job which is very decent quality. No it’s not a 5k paint job but it is pretty nice. We have checked it for body filler and it’s a very solid Jeep.  We replaced brakes on the Jeep front and rear and put the correct 235/75-15 whitewalls on it. The center caps will be reinstalled before the truck is picked up. We also put new cap, plugs, wires and filters. We changed all the fluids and had it detailed. This Jeep is ready to go. The original carpet is in awesome shape with zero imperfections it had a rug in the cargo area apparently since new. All windows work as they should even the pesky rear window. This is a very nice driver quality Jeep and could be restored with very little funds, but hey it’s very nice in its current condition. I am trying to find a rear wiper arm for it so it may or may not be included. It will need a gas tank skid plate also in the future. We are selling it NO Reserve and it will be sold to high bidder. But we do reserve the right to cancel the auction for a local sale. So please don’t wait until the end of the auction to bid, the last two were sold after only 3 days on eBay. If you have less than 10 feedback please email me before bidding. If you are looking for a perfect Jeep please look further or send me an email and I will build one for you. This is a very nice 157k mile truck that has never been smoked in and is very clean.

8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.

Chrysler registers Trackhawk trademark

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

There may not be many ways to forecast what an automaker is planning for the future, but there are some. Trademark applications are one of them, and Chrysler has just applied with the US Patent and Trademark Office to protect the name "Trackhawk." The question is, what's it planning on using it for? We don't know for sure, but we can put together an educated guess or two. And one guess is that Jeep will use the name to replace the letters SRT on the performance version of the Grand Cherokee.
How do we figure, you ask? From a number of developments. For starters, the SRT division has been reintegrated into the Dodge brand. Those letters currently appear on only two vehicles from outside the Dodge lineup: one is the Grand Cherokee SRT, and the other is the Chrysler 300 SRT. We've heard ruminations (however unconfirmed) that the latter could be either discontinued or possibly relabeled, and if the same proves true of the GC, the Trackhawk name could serve as a on-road performance counterpart to the Trailhawk label applied to off-road versions of models like the Cherokee and Renegade.
Logical it may be, but it's hardly a foregone conclusion. The Trackhawk name could just as easily be used for a new concept (like the Trailhawk name was in 2007), for another kind of trim level or for something else entirely. In fact we don't even know for sure it'll be used by the Jeep brand specifically, or used at all for that matter. Automakers have been known, after all, to register names they don't end up using.
