Im selling my 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Ive owned it for two years. Engine runs great. Fun car to ride around in and attracts a lot of attention. Great car in warm weather to cruise around in. The sunroof as well as all the windows still work including the back window. With all these windows open; its a real pleasure to drive during those hot days. Air conditioning works as well as the heater. Has 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive option. Drives great in snow. The white wall tires are only two years old and has less than 2000 miles on them. Other than the tires, I have also put in a new rebuilt gearbox, calipers, window wipers, carburetor, distributor and power steering pump. I've put in a brand new radiator, thermostat, rotors, battery, brake shoes, tale pipe, hoses, all belts, harmonic balancer, brake pads and gas magnum shock absorbers. Interior needs work, but has little to no rust on the undercarriage. I started the restoration and unfortunately cannot finish it. Please email me at SSHayes8@yahoo.com with any questions.

2018 Jeep Wrangler JL order guide leaks, ordering open at dealers
Tue, Oct 24 2017It's been a big day for Jeep news. Earlier today, a leaked timeline revealed that the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL will make its debut sometime in November, likely at either SEMA or the Los Angeles Auto Show. Now, thanks to our friends at JL Wrangler Forums, we have news that an order guide has leaked and order banks are open. That means you should be able to go to a Jeep dealer and place an order for a new Wrangler now. This order guide only covers the four-door Wrangler Unlimited, but it gives us a pretty clear look at the new model. At launch, the Wrangler Unlimited will come in three trims - Sport, Sahara and Rubicon. The only available engine will be FCA's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. Those hoping for a diesel will have to wait a little while longer. All three models will offer both a manual and automatic transmission. While the current model is available in a wide range of colors, initially only five - Billet Silver, Black, Bright White, Firecracker Red and Granite Crystal - will be offered. Poring over the guide shows that features line-up pretty closely with the current model. Hardtops are still optional, as is leather on the Sahara and Rubicon. It doesn't look like you'll be able to get a Sport with a body-color top and the dual-top option for the Rubicon is only listed on the order banks with a black hardtop. The Sahara and Rubicon both have optional trailer hitches and the Rubicon has an optional steel bumper. There's lots we still don't know, but look for more news in the next month or so after the new Wrangler finally debuts. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. What's really going on with the 2014 Jeep Cherokee's transmission issues?
Fri, 27 Sep 2013On September 23, Automotive News reported that Chrysler had idled the second shift workers it hired just five weeks prior at its Toledo Assembly Complex to build the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. At the time, Chrysler said it had "built the critical number of vehicles we need to stock dealerships once containment is released" and did not want "to put additional strain on our logistics partners ... upon release." That reasoning was not only unusual, it didn't seem to make sense.
It appears the center of the nine-speed issue is software, not hardware.
That same day, the Detroit News ran a piece claiming workers at the Toledo factory said the halt was due to issues with the Cherokee's transmission. It put the number of already-built Cherokees needing fixes at 1,000 and said that some of the workers not laid off had been instructed "to take the Jeep on long test-drives." That made more sense. Three days later, on September 26, Automotive News reported that the 500 workers laid off had been reinstated, with engineers "speeding repairs on the SUV's powertrain software." The AN piece didn't put a number on how many units are being fixed, but it did say that 12,000 have been built and are awaiting delivery to dealers. The best it could say about when dealers will get them, however, is that "progress on a fix is being made. It's unclear when shipments to dealers will start."
