I am selling my 1983 jeep grand wagoneer due to work relocation.  It is a project and really close to being fully done.  It has a fresh new coat of paint on it as I started to do some body work on it to repair the drivers side door and one spot by the rear passengers side quarter panel.  The color it is in is a darker than lime green with the tan interior.  I started to remove some of the door panels as I was going to get the electric window regulators replaced while it was getting painted.  I still have all the parts just not the time to put back together. It has a brand new set of 4 tires that are less than 3 months old.  It is currently licensed registered and insured in Nevada as a classic rod. I was driving it about 2 or 3 times a week prior to going into paint.  It has a brand new fuel pump and edelbrock 4 bbl carb with electric choke.  It also has a edelbrock alum intake on it.  All plugs wires cap rotor are 3 months old and it runs good.  Needs a tune up to get low idle adjusted as I did not have a timing light. It will cruise down the road at 65 70 smooth as a Cadillac. Breaks are good and both 4 high and 4 low work as well as the 2wd.  The only reason it has the rebuilt title is due to a hail storm damage claim made approximately 11 years ago by a previous owner.  It was not reprinted to cover up and hid rust as it was an Arizona rust free SUV. I have a lot of documents that are from the previous owner showing amazing work history.  Newer ac pump rebuilt transfer case and other maintenance done.  I hate to get rid of it but am relocating and cannot take it with.  My plans were to paint it electric lime green just like the 2004 rubicon I had.  It is ready for a new owner. The only true current running issue has been a small electrical draw if it sits for 2 or 3 days.  I don't know if the alternator is going or what but if started daily it keeps a charge.  Also has many new fuel lines and fuel filter 3 months ago when I did the fuel pump and new carb.

Please feel free to ask any questions as it is a must sell with no reserve.

Fiat Chrysler's Q3 profit boosted by strong North American earnings

Tue, Oct 24 2017

MILAN, Italy — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) reported a 17 percent jump in third-quarter adjusted operating profit on Tuesday, helped by a strong performance in its key North American market and improving operations in Europe and Latin America. The world's seventh-largest carmaker still makes the lion's share of its profits in North America, so improving, or at least maintaining, its margins there is a key focus. The carmaker reported an 8 percent adjusted operating profit margin in the region, up from 7.6 percent a year ago, despite a drop in sales and shipments. "FCA's profitability in North America remained strong in the quarter despite a weakening market there," a Milan-based analyst said. FCA's profitability compares with an 8.3 percent North America margin reached in the quarter by bigger U.S. rival GM , showing CEO Sergio Marchionne making progress towards his goal of closing the margin gap with GM and the company's other U.S. rival, Ford, by 2018. The company's confirmation of its full-year outlook also pushed shares higher, a trader added. The stock was up 2.8 percent by 1129 GMT, outperforming a 1 percent rise in the European auto index. FCA has been retooling some U.S. factories to boost output of sport-utility vehicles (SUVs) and trucks while ending production of some unprofitable sedans to strengthen profitability as the U.S. car market comes off its peak. The company said a drop in North America shipments due to lower fleet sales and discontinued models was partially offset by higher deliveries of Ram trucks and two models from the Alfa Romeo stable: the Stelvio sport utility vehicle and Giulia sedan. Profitability also improved in Europe, helped by sales of the Stelvio and the new Jeep Compass, and Latin America, while margins at Maserati remained strong at 13.8 percent due to strong demand for its first SUV, the Levante. In a later conference call, investors are looking for hints on the new strategy to 2022 which the company promised to unveil early next year. Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne said earlier this year that FCA would streamline its portfolio and that components businesses, including Magneti Marelli, would be separated from the group, possibly via a spin-off. While FCA confirmed its targets this year, doubts remain about its exposure to a weakening U.S. market, recall costs and potential fines over emissions after it was targeted by European and U.S.

Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler wants mountains, not a stage

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

We've said it before and we'll say it again - while we usually grow tired of the endless barrage of special edition vehicles, that isn't the case with the Jeep Wrangler. Every unique model we encounter seems cooler than the one before it, and this Willys Wheeler Edition is no exception.
The Willys Wheeler package is sort of a throwback to early Jeep CJ models, and wears "Willys" stickers on the hood. There's also a gloss black grille, rock rails to protect the side sills, and unique 17-inch black wheels wrapped in meaty BF Goodrich KM Mud Terrain tires. For proper off-road prowess, this special edition uses a Dana 44 rear axle with a limited-slip differential and a 3.73 final drive ratio.
Look for the Willys edition to hit dealerships early next year, starting at $25,795 for the two-door version and $29,595 for the four-door. Feel free to read all about it in the press release below.

Toledo mayor, Jeep champion Michael Collins dies from heart attack

Mon, Feb 9 2015

The city of Toledo is mourning the loss of its mayor and the campaign to keep production of the Jeep Wrangler in the Ohio city has lost a champion after Michael Collins suffered a heart attack behind the wheel recently. Born, raised and educated in Toledo, Collins was a Marine Corps veteran and a city councilor. He was elected mayor in 2013 and assumed office on January 2, 2014, a little over a year ago. He was driving an SUV provided by the city in a snow storm on February 1 of this year when he suffered a heart attack and crashed into a utility pole. He remained in critical condition for days until he was taken off artificial life-support. During his relatively short term in office, Collins became an outspoken and energetic advocate of keeping the Jeep plant in Toledo, where it has been assembled for decades. The next-generation Wrangler is set to switch to aluminum construction, which could lead to moving its production to another location, but Collins (alongside Governor John Kasich and others) had worked hard to convince FCA US to keep it in town. Whether his efforts will prove successful remains to be seen, but our hearts go out to his friends, family and constituents. Michael is survived by his wife Sandy, three daughters and eight grandchildren. He was 70 years old.
