PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU CONSIDER BIDDING ON THIS JEEP
Dear Jeep Lovers and Wagoneer Lovers:
This is an original 1982 Jeep Wagoneer SJ. '82 was the first year it had all the luxury options. All the original features/options work unless otherwise stated below. The body is "high" miles (not for its age) (199k) but most of that was spent being towed behind an RV. Then the Jeep sat for many years. It has a clear Colorado title. This vehicle has spent its entire life in rust-free Northern Colorado and was originally purchased in Greeley, Colorado then registered in LaSalle, CO, then Ault, CO. It has a clean Carfax report which I will be happy to email to you or you can pull one on your own. It is a daily driver and starts the first time, every time, no matter the weather. The carpet is in excellent shape with no major tears or holes. The paint is original with no major rust and no dents unless otherwise stated. Wheels are original. Upholstery is original. A list of what is new (mechanically and cosmetically) is listed below. Receipts for all the work I have done can be provided.
RECENT MECHANICAL WORK (LAST 6 MONTHS)- well over $4500 spent mechanically
The engine (360 V8) has been rebuilt. It has less than 1500 miles on it.
Cam bearings have been replaced
Crank bearings have been replaced
New starter
New rear brake drums (less than 250 miles)
New oil pan gasket
New transfer case gasket
New driver's door handle internal mechanism
All new light bulbs and inside of lamps polished
New tailgate window switch
New battery tray and tie downs.
Much more that I likely cannot recall
RECENT COSMETIC WORK
Headliner replaced
Removed, cleaned and polished both sides of ORIGINAL wheels
Removed all 9 ORIGINAL door sills, cleaned underneath, replaced all screws, polished all door sill metal
Professionally detailed including removal of all seats, machine polishing and engine
Removed rear bumper and cleaned and reconditioned
Removed hitch, cleaned and re-painted
Replaced center console
All chrome and aluminum polished
New undercoating on all 4 wheel wells
Replaced screws and polished exterior tailgate trim
Touched up all rock chips and repainted nose
Removed grille, cleaned and touched up paint
Removed all lights, markers and turn signals, cleaned, polished
Removed the battery. Ground and repainted metal underneath.
NEW WOOD GRAPHICS ALL THE WAY AROUND!
New wood graphics on side of roof rack
WHAT IS ORIGINAL??
The paint (which is still smooth, shines, and water will bead off it). Color is Jamaica Beige (color code 2J)
The wood trim surround
Original spare, never used
Original jack, tire iron and storage bag!
All the emblems (except one that was replaced)
The carpet is original and in EXCELLENT shape
All the chrome and aluminum trim
The upholstery
Engine is original and it great shape mechanically and cosmetically.
Transmission
Roof rack is perfect
Dash (not a single crack)
Door panels are near perfect- see pictures
WHAT STILL NEEDS TO BE DONE/REPAIRED??
Rear springs work fine but need to be replaced to restore original ride height.
Two small rust holes behind the rear wheels need repaired
Upholstery needs redone as stated above
The rear window switch needs to be replaced. This switch was already purchased and will come with the vehicle. The window works from the switch on the dash but not with a key from the tailgate. You will just have to install it.
Email me any and all questions and happy bidding!

Build a Jeep Gladiator 392 next? The Hummer H3T Alpha blazed the trail
Tue, Nov 17 2020The 2021 Wrangler Rubicon 392 will combine the go-anywhere capability of a Jeep's iconic off-roader with the grunt of a V8 for the first time in decades. As cool as that is, we can't help but think Jeep is missing out on a huge opportunity to pair that 470-horsepower, 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with the Wrangler's pickup cousin, the Jeep Gladiator, in the form of a Mojave 392.Β Autoblog took part in a media Q&A session with Jeep ahead of the Rubicon 392's announcement in which the company's product higher-ups said that there are currently no official plans to build a 392 variant of the Gladiator pickup. But whether or not Jeep has plans, it certainly has precedent, and from our perspective, a market.Β Rewind to 2008, better known as one of the worst possible years to introduce a gas-guzzling, V8-powered pickup truck. Enter the 2009 Hummer H3T Alpha, the first variant of Hummer's midsize truck/SUV hybrid to be offered with a 5.3-liter V8. The 300-horsepower small-block was an upgrade to the sturdy but relatively uninspiring 3.7-liter inline-5 that the H3 lineup had inherited from its midsize pickup platform mates.Β As our Jeremy Korzeniewski noted in the Rubicon 392's introductory piece, an open-top Jeep has not been offered with an optional V8 for as long as the "Wrangler" nameplate has existed. The last Jeep 4x4 to do so was still a CJ, or civilian Jeep, and the 304 cubic-inch engine came from American Motors Corporation. Incidentally, this generation of the Wrangler is also the first to be offered in a pickup variant. Cue the beard-stroking.Β Now, frankly, it's not even remotely fair to compare the H3T's powertrain offerings to the decade-newer Gladiator's, but the Hummer actually boasts a few advantages over Jeep's modern pickup. While most of the Jeep's off-road specs give it an edge, the Gladiator doesn't come close to the H3T's 30.1-degree departure angle, for instance.Β And in more practical terms, the stubbier H3T has other maneuverability advantages. The Gladiator has 3" of wheelbase and 5" of overall length on the H3T, and a 22.4-foot turning radius to show for it. The Hummer's? Just 18.5'.
AEV Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon
Fri, 28 Feb 2014
After their rented 2007 Hummer H3 failed them during the brutal Rallye Aicha des Gazelles in Morocco, Amy Lerner and her sister Tricia Reina were on a quest to find the most capable production off-roader for their next competition - they chose a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Their next mission was to find a company with the competence to configure it to win. After poring over Internet forums and perusing countless magazines for an outfitter who could meet their demanding requirements, they sent their bright orange JK ("Crush" is the official color) to American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) for some modifications.
The Michigan-based team at AEV kept the Jeep's 3.6-liter V6 and automatic transmission stock, but replaced the hood with a tall AEV Heat Reduction Hood and added an AEV Snorkel Kit for water crossings (it serves double-duty as its raised height helps to keep the air intake out of the kicked-up dust on the trail). Front and rear off-road bumpers were bolted in place, and AEV skid plates were added to provide additional undercarriage protection. A pair of IPF-900 off-road lights improve visibility, while a 10.2-gallon AEV Fuel Caddy (located behind the exterior spare) added some range. The suspension was upgraded with a 3.5-inch lift kit with Bilstein remote reservoir shocks, and 35-inch Falken Wildpeak A/T tires (LT285/70R17) were mounted at all four corners on AEV's beadlock wheels.
