1982 JEEP CJ7 RENEGADE PACKAGE 9K ORINGAL MILES AMAZING ! We purchased this ultra low mileage CJ7 from the original owner. The title indicated new when we obtained it. It has original AMC belts, hoses, exhaust, converter, smog equipment etc,,,,,,It even had the original tires which were dry rotted. The paint is mostly original with some touch up on the front end and misc areas, however the inside of the tub and floor pans are original. The photos of the inside the tub have never been re-sprayed, that is the true factory coating indicating the amazing condition of the body. Rock solid and never any patch work present. The motor is original AMC blue and you can find the AMC stamp in many areas, radiator hose, drive belts, heater lines, air pump etc. The only alterations was a replacement of the carburetor. The length of storage line caused issues with the original, therefore it was replaced with a remanufactured carb. It starts and runs like you would expect for a vehicle with 9k original miles. The motor is super strong running. The clutch, 5 speed manual, and 4x4 feels new. The frame is rock solid perfect. The interior is all factory. The seats are almost perfect. There is one flawed spot on the rear seat. The dash pad is original too and looks great with no flaws. All the gauges function OEM clock, Tach , Fuel gauge, temp, speedometer, volt, and oil pressure function as intended. It has a factory tilt wheel too. Original spare tire jack and owners manual. Factory AMC JEEP AM/FM radio system and speakers work and sound outstanding !! The top and doors are amazing. The windows roll up so easily and have no stress cracks etc. The same key works the doors, ignition and rear hatch on the hardtop. The wheels and center caps are factory as well. All glass panels are clear and appear to be original equipment too. Overall, this is an incredible find and a great investment as there can't me too many CJ out there with less than 10k in existence. If you are local and wish to review in person, please let me know. I'm starting the price out a very reasonable amount so don't miss out ! A $500 non refundable deposit will be required to secure the Jeep at auction end. Once paid for in full, you will receive a clear title for you to transfer ownership. Thank you and good luck and enjoy the photos !

Jeep to stop using bad Takata airbag inflators next week
Tue, Jun 21 2016FCA is gradually ceasing to produce vehicles equipped with Takata airbag inflaters found to be inherently faulty. These airbags, which lack a certain drying agent, have been linked with dangerous premature ruptures. According to FCA, the only vehicle still in production with the named airbag is the 2016 Jeep Wrangler, and in this case they are passenger-side airbags. Fiat Chrysler says it isn't aware of any incidents involving these air bag inflaters in Jeeps, but amidst concerns that vehicles with failure-prone airbags are still being marketed to customers, North American-market 2016 Wranglers will cease to be equipped with them starting next week. As per FCA's statement, global production is expected to end by mid-September. In addition to Toledo, Ohio, the Wrangler is produced in Egypt. FCA isn't going to sell the cars with the deemed-faulty airbags without disclosing the fact to the customers: anyone buying a 2016 Wrangler will be notified that the vehicle will most likely be subject to a recall in the future, even if there is not currently a recall announced for them. NHTSA has specified a "Coordinated Remedy Program" recall schedule for the coming years, and the airbag inflaters will degrade over a time frame of several years, when subjected to a humid environment. What's really going on with the 2014 Jeep Cherokee's transmission issues?
Fri, 27 Sep 2013On September 23, Automotive News reported that Chrysler had idled the second shift workers it hired just five weeks prior at its Toledo Assembly Complex to build the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. At the time, Chrysler said it had "built the critical number of vehicles we need to stock dealerships once containment is released" and did not want "to put additional strain on our logistics partners ... upon release." That reasoning was not only unusual, it didn't seem to make sense.
It appears the center of the nine-speed issue is software, not hardware.
That same day, the Detroit News ran a piece claiming workers at the Toledo factory said the halt was due to issues with the Cherokee's transmission. It put the number of already-built Cherokees needing fixes at 1,000 and said that some of the workers not laid off had been instructed "to take the Jeep on long test-drives." That made more sense. Three days later, on September 26, Automotive News reported that the 500 workers laid off had been reinstated, with engineers "speeding repairs on the SUV's powertrain software." The AN piece didn't put a number on how many units are being fixed, but it did say that 12,000 have been built and are awaiting delivery to dealers. The best it could say about when dealers will get them, however, is that "progress on a fix is being made. It's unclear when shipments to dealers will start."
Jeep bringing Renegade Hard Steel with adorable matching trailer to Geneva
Sun, Mar 1 2015Trailers are hardly an uncommon site. They can, after all, be an effective way of adding cargo capacity when you need to haul more than you can fit in your car and truck. But there's something that just gets us about trailers made to match the vehicle behind which they're being towed. Like this one, attached to this unique Jeep Renegade. Set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show mere days from now, the Renegade Hard Steel concept is a joint effort between various elements of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group, including Jeep, Mopar and the FCA Style Centre. It's based on the Trailhawk off-road model, but is distinguished by its unique metallic finish, offset by matte black trim and a full raft of available and custom Mopar accessories. Though Jeep has yet to show us what it looks like inside, it's said to have a specially coated leather finish. And of course there's that trailer. Designed to mimic the Renegade's rear-end styling, the appendage will be used on the floor of the Geneva Palexpo to showcase the vehicle's Uconnect Live infotainment system through an oversized pop-up touchscreen display that mirrors the new 5- or 6.5-inch display that'll soon be available on the littlest of Jeeps, offering streaming content including music, news, social media and traffic conditions. We have no indication that a similar trailer could be going into production (minus, of course, the infotainment stuff), but it's worth noting that Jeep has indeed done something similar before. Feel free to read more in the press release, below. Related Video: 27 February 2015 Renegade Hard Steel Jeep Showcar The Renegade Hard Steel Jeep showcar, which blends style, off-road vocation, and technology, will be making its debut and the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show. Created by the Jeep brand, in collaboration with the Mopar brand and backed by the FCA Style Centre, the showcar "explores" the potential of a model that provides countless customization options, while also providing an outlook for potential future Mopar accessories dedicated to the new Renegade. Based on the Trailhawk - the off-road version of the range - the prototype is not a simple customisation in aftermarket but a design project that, with due respect to the peculiarities of original models, has led us to the creation of a unique and fascinating article.
