NO Researve!
2006 Jeep Liberty CRD Diesel, 4x4 with lots of upgrades
I'm unloading just about everything because I am moving soon, two vehicles gone, and two more to go.
First, the bad, and the reason for the low price and no reserve.
Sunroof will open, but not close.  It is stuck open ~1".  It's been taped since it happened, and no water has gotten past the tape.  It's either the switch, or the motor, don't know which.  The tape comes off easily enough with a heat gun and mineral spirits to clean up the residue.
ABS is not working, this is a known issue.  The wiring harness that runs inside the floor breaks at the rear connector.  I have a new harness that will be included, but it is not installed.
Passenger side airbag fuse is pulled due to Recaro seats.  The factory seat uses an occupant sensor that is built into the seat, and the airbag light on the passenger grab bar, above the glove box, is illuminated if the fuse is in.
There is a bit of loss of power, but I don't know why.  Check engine light is NOT on, there are no apparent leaks of anything anywhere.  It could be buildup in the valves and intake runners which can also happen with these if the PCV is left to vent directly into the turbo.  I moved the PCV vent into the airbox, so it pulls through the airfilter, but I did buy it used.
Minor damage to rear passenger door (see pics) thanks to another driver that required evasive maneuvers a couple years ago.
Passenger side strut stud is broken (I think).  The strut is not secured to the strut tower, but, I will include a NEW pair of Old Man Emu Struts.

So, it's not perfect, and needs a little work, but for all the work that's been done, it's still a great deal.

The Goods:
Old Man Emu 1.5" springs
Skyjacker front struts
Old Man Emu rear shocks $800

(5) New 215/85R16 Cooper ST tires, great in everything but deap mud
Suncoast Torque Converter $700
Transgo Shift Kit, 45RFE-HD2, $150
Mag-Hytec Deep Transmission Pan $300
Deep aluminum finned rear differential cover $150
Detroit TrueTrac rear differential $800 installed
NEW Turbo, less than 500 miles $800 installed
NEW SKF hubs, less than 500 miles $600 installed
Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors
Ceramic Brake Pads
Green Diesel Engineering Tune, with programmer $900
Recaro leather seats from a Saline Mustang, these are pretty nice, and in excellent condition....I forget how much I paid
JVC Arnsenal Stereo
High Flow Exhaust, 2.5" aluminized from downpipe back
Dynomax muffler

There is a chance I missed something, because I've had it for a few years and have worked on it over time, but I think that's everything.  That's over $5000 in parts, with better ride and traction.

Check my feedback, if you're concerned about the one negative, maybe you should re-read it.  I cancelled the transaction because three weeks later, he still hadn't paid me.  It was supposed to be removed, looks like I need to make another call the the wonderful eBay help center.

Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango to lose color options temporarily

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

In the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango? Well, if you fancy a more expressive color for your new SUV, you'd better get your order in, or plan on waiting until well into 2015.
The SUVs will be limited to just four monochromatic shades - black, white, silver and gray - until at least February, thanks to an upgrade to the paint shop at the two vehicles' Jefferson North factory. For the Grand Cherokee, that means it's losing more than half its color palette while the Durango is dropping two-thirds of its color catalog.
The loss of colors is inconvenient, but the upgrade will have a slightly bigger effect on the overall supply of SUVs, as Chrysler will need to end its relentless build pace at the factory for a three-week shutdown starting on December 22. The good news for fans of the SUVs is that once the work is completed, we should see a gradual expansion of the color palettes for both the Durango and Grand Cherokee, beyond even what's offered now.

Dodge, Jeep and Ram could soon be owned by Chinese automakers

Mon, Aug 14 2017

For the past several years, Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has made it widely known that the automaker he helms is up for grabs. First, he sent an email to GM CEO Mary Barra, who immediately refused to even discuss a merger. Later, Marchionne set his sights on Volkswagen. That too was swiftly rebuffed. It seemed like no global automaker was remotely interested in a partnership. Now, Automotive News reports that several Chinese automakers have come calling, only FCA isn't ready to answer. At least not yet. The news broke this morning that a major Chinese automaker had made an offer to purchase FCA for slightly above market value. FCA refused, saying the offer wasn't quite generous enough. It's unclear which automaker made the offer, but Automotive News says there's more than one interested party. FCA representatives have recently traveled to China to meet with Great Wall Motors, while Chinese representatives were seen at FCA corporate headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich. The Chinese government has a lot of money invested in local automakers. It's putting pressure on these automakers to expand globally, including to the United States. As it stands, it's a matter of when a Chinese automaker will start selling cars here, not if. Purchasing an established automaker with a wide range of products and a huge dealer network would do wonders in giving the Chinese a foothold here. Sure, Geely owns Volvo, but a luxury automaker doesn't have nearly as much reach as a more mainstream company like FCA. This seems like the best case scenario for both a Chinese automaker looking to move into the U.S. and for FCA, at least from a business standpoint. The latter doesn't seem to have any other interested parties. It will be interesting to see how FCA would sell a deal like this to the public. We're not sure everyone will be happy with Dodge, Jeep and Ram falling under Chinese ownership. FCA didn't turn down the Chinese because they didn't like the idea. It turned down the offer because there wasn't enough money on the table. Related Video: News Source: Automotive News Earnings/Financials Alfa Romeo Chrysler Dodge Fiat Jeep RAM

Driving the Panamera and Mike's Rant | Autoblog Podcast #487

Thu, Sep 8 2016

This week we cover some recent news like the upcoming Land Rover Discovery, updates to FCA's large car platform (including the Challenger), and talk about water injection. Then we go into what we've been driving - David just finished his time in the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Mike tried the GMC Acadia. And then Mike (who is still uncomfortable writing in the third person) goes on a rant about why automakers shouldn't specify which cars are aimed at women. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want questionable buying advice, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com.
