THE BODY ON THIS JEEP IS IN GOOD CONDITION
NO MAJOR BODY DAMAGE. IT IS A 2002 SO THERE IS SOME USUAL NICKS AND SCUFFS. THE PAINT HAS SOME SMALL AREAS
HERE AND THERE WHERE THE CLEARCOAT HAS SOME SPECKLES. THE SPARE TIRE IS NEW.
THE INTERIOR IS IN GOOD CONDITON ALSO. THE SEATS ARE GRAY LEATHER AND IN GOOD CONDITION FOR THE YEAR.
THERE ARE NO MAJOR RIPS OR TEARS. EVERYTHING SEEMS TO WORK. THE INTERIOR COULD USE A DETAILING.
THE ENGINE IS A 3.7 V6. IT HAS THE AUTO TRANSMISSION. THE TRANSMISSION AND 4X4 WORK FLAWLESSLY. THE ENGINE DOES NEED
SOME MINOR REPAIR. THE JEEP HAS A MISS AND IDLES A LITTLE ROUGHER THAN IT SHOULD. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND
HE REPLACED A FUEL INJECTOR AND A COIL. IT RAN EXTREMELY MUCH BETTER, BUT THERE WAS STILL A MISS. HE SCOPED THE CYLINDERS AND
DISCOVERED THERE IS A VALVE NOT SEATING PROPERLY ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I BOUGHT A LOW MILEAGE CYLINDER HEAD
FROM A WRECKED 2002 LIBERTY THAT IS IN GOOD SHAPE. I WAS GOING TO REPAIR THIS FOR A SPARE VEHICLE, BUT DECIDED I
DO NOT HAVE THE NEED FOR IT AND DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO PUT INTO IT.
TIRES ARE LOW IN TREAD, THEY MAY OR MAY NOT PASS INSPECTION.
VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN CENTRAL PA. IT IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION PRIOR TO END OF AUCTION ANYTIME
WILL ACCEPT CASH, CASHIERS CHECK, WIRE OR ANY SECURED FUNDS. WILL ACCEPT PAYPAL IF BUYER
PAYS ANY RELATED FEES. WOULD LIKE $1000 DOWN IN 3 DAYS AND BALANCE PRIOR TO OR AT PICKUP
ANY Q'S YOU CAN REACH ME AT 814-599-0381. THANKS FOR LOOKING

The fascinating history of the Popemobile
Tue, Sep 22 2015Pope Francis will be arriving today in the US for a variety of stops, including the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia, PA. While here, the Pontiff won't be riding in the usual Mercedes-Benz Popemobile, but instead will make a more American switch to a modified Jeep Wrangler, according to the Washington Post. It'll feature a protected front, top, and rear, but the sides will be open for His Holiness to see the throngs of people gathering for him. For hundreds of years, Popes were transported in horse-drawn carriages or sometimes carried in an enclosed chair by footmen, but His Holiness finally traded for some real horsepower in 1929. While his ride sometimes varied depending on the country being visited, a Mercedes-Benz was generally the common choice. However, the Pontiffs have ridden in everything from a modified GMC Sierra to a Ferrari Mondial over the past few decades. Pope Francis has definitely preferred more plebeian transportation, though, including a Renault 4 running on biofuel. A trip to South Korea even put him in a Kia Soul, and he opted for an Isuzu D-Max in the Philippines. The Post's whole list is quite a fun read, and it's fascinating to see how the Popemobiles evolve over time. Related Video:
This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome
Fri, Dec 5 2014The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first. MotorWeek reviews '83 American Motors lineup
Wed, Mar 18 2015The 30th anniversary of American Motors' 1987 sale to Chrysler by Renault is just a few years away. AMC is long dead, but for its latest peek in the archives, MotorWeek winds back the clock to somewhat happier times. Take a look at the entire AMC lineup from 1983, including its models from Jeep and Renault. The Jeeps, and to a lesser extent, the AMC Eagle, enjoy a cult following today, but it's amazing how many of these other vehicles are now practically forgotten. Even the big debut in '83 of the Renault Alliance is largely ignored. Although with a ludicrous amount of body roll and a 55-horsepower 1.4-liter engine, it's probably rightly buried.
