This is my Jeep Cherokee. I have enjoyed it. It is a year 2006 and I drive it everyday as my main vehicle. It does hesitate mainly between 18-22 miles per hour which I think is second gear. I drive it fine like that even on long trips but it will eventually need a 722.6 transmission in time, I think. It is nice on outside and acceptable still inside except raw spot on back carpet and driver seat has hole fray where you slide in and out. The front wind shield is cracked. The hood doesn't pop up by the latch you have to go through the grill. There is a minor dent on back bumper as I pointed out in pictures. Does have nice radio and traction control options. It ha three compartments in back for tools, jack, and accessories. We drove it on Spring break to Tuscaloosa twice and it was fine and rides well on the highway. I think you could drive it hundreds of miles fine.It is bought and paid for and I have the title in hand. My number is 256 453 1381. You come and drive it from Alabama.

Chrysler taking big risk snubbing NHTSA
Wed, 05 Jun 2013Maker Insists Feds Overstate Risk Of Fires With Grand Cherokee, Liberty Models
It's not often that recall stories make it above the fold, in that old newspaper parlance, but when one shows up as the lead story on the network evening news programs, you know it's something big.
And so it is with Chrysler snubbing its nose at a request by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to recall 2.7 million Jeeps the feds insist are at risk of potentially catastrophic fuel tank fires in a rear-end collision.
NHTSA closes investigation into Jeep Liberty fires
Sun, 16 Mar 2014The investigation that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened into the Jeep Liberty in October 2013 has been closed. NHTSA received two (!) complaints about fires starting in the driver's door, thought to be caused by the master power window switch. The initial estimate was that 80,000 Libertys could be roped into a possible recall, but according to a report in the Detroit News the agency examined records for 425,000 Chrysler products that used the same window switch, including the Dodge Nitro and Chrysler Town & Country minivan.
After canvassing 265 warranty claims related to the master switches, NHTSA concluded that the rate of fires compared to the "large population of vehicles" was rather low, and that there was no trend pattern behind the few issues it did find. Perhaps with that, and the closure of the trailer hitch investigation, the Liberty can finally rest in peace.
2014 Jeep Cherokee: June 2014
Wed, 09 Jul 2014I got a text message from Editor-In-Chief Sharon Carty one afternoon proclaiming that her new favorite SUV is our long-term 2014 Jeep Cherokee. And she's not alone. I'm not sure if anyone else on staff would go so far as to use the "favorite" descriptor, but after just over a month of honeymooning with our new long-termer, it's safe to say that the Jeep is quickly finding its way into the good graces of a number of Autoblog staffers.
There's good reason for all that praise, too. Thus far, the Jeep has proven itself to be incredibly competent and comfortable for daily life - it's functional, quiet, and packed with a host of amenities that make it easy to live with. It's been wholly trouble-free (with less than 4,000 miles on the clock as of this writing, it ought to be), but even nitpicks have been few and far between.
