Interior leather in great condition, small tear in leather on driver's side seat with no one really sitting in the back seats,non-smoker,no pets. 100% Fully loaded with navigation and moon roof. A real 2 owner vehicle."

Exceptionally nice 2 owner Grand Cherokee Limited.Vehicle has 82,000 miles, excellent driving , very solid ,safe automobile. Runs and drives excellent, never abused adult driven, Sporting leather interior (one small blemish on drivers seat) fully loaded with navigation, sunroof, alloy wheels and most every available power option! Currently registered and insured and any prospective buyer may take for a test ride or have checked out at any Jeep dealer or private repair or inspection facility. This Jeep Grand Cherokee is still being used daily.

Walking around the vehicle it is very clean,2 minor scuffs on the front bumper ( under1.5" on both left and right fog lamps) but other than that there is hardly any sign of parking lot or other signs of dings scratches or excuses. The paint is shiny and the brightwork is equally nice, very nice exterior, better than most you will see. The rear bumper was repainted last year professionally when a coworker had a lapse in our office parking lot, no insurance company involved, the repair/refinish was excellent. The new owner will be thrilled with the cosmetics of the vehicle.

Mechanically speaking it has been excellent except for 1 major repair for the most part. The vehicle has had all services performed religiously, all with an open checkbook for the most part, fluids and services all have receipts, all performed mostly at the same facility. A "check engine" lamp 2 years ago resulted in a transmission torque converter lock-up failure. This required the transmission to be removed and rebuilt with a new torque converter. Other than that, basically brakes ,batteries and a couple window switches and maybe a power lock repair. It has been pretty un-eventful except the transmission repair. The current mechanical condition of the vehicle is excellent, all services are up to date with receipts, the tires are BF Goodrich Traction TA with 2 tires at 50% tread wear, the 2 in the rear are at 75% remaining. I had a CarFax printed out and will make available to a prospective buyer. This vehicle can drive anywhere and all features and functions work as they should, period.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions,I will be happy to oblige a prospective buyer to have vehicle inspected in person or by an independent inspection company. The transport of the vehicle (costs and arrangements) are the high bidders responsibility, the vehicle has no warranty, I encourage pre-purchase inspection at the buyers expense of course! There is a Jeep dealer within 3 miles,I would be happy to drop off.

For his last act, Marchionne will outline an EV/hybrid roadmap this week

Wed, May 30 2018

MILAN/LONDON — Fiat Chrysler (FCA) boss Sergio Marchionne is expected to outline new plans for electric and hybrid cars in a strategy presentation on Friday, aiming to ensure the world's seventh-largest carmaker remains in the race in the absence of a merger. The 65-year-old will present FCA's strategy to 2022, his final contribution to the company he turned around and multiplied in value through 14 years of canny dealmaking. After failing to secure a tie-up he said was necessary to manage the costs of producing cleaner vehicles, Marchionne needs to show the group can keep churning out profits on its own, even as emissions rules tighten, SUV competition intensifies and worries around his succession abound. Marchionne had long refused to jump on the electrification bandwagon, saying he would only do so if selling battery-powered cars could be done at a profit. He even urged customers not to buy FCA's Fiat 500e, its only battery-powered model, because he was losing money on each sold. But Tesla's success and the need to comply with tougher emissions rules have forced Marchionne to commit to what he calls "most painful" spending. "FCA is way behind rivals in terms of hybrid and electric vehicles and they need to hit the accelerator to convince investors they can close that gap," said Andrea Pastorelli, a fund manager at 8a+ Investimenti. Germany's Volkswagen, Daimler, BMW and U.S. rivals GM and Ford have committed to spending billions of euros each in coming years to try produce profitable cars powered by cleaner fuels. FCA needs to present a clear roadmap, just like Volvo Cars, which ditched diesel from its best-selling XC60 SUV, launched a new electric brand and pledged to shift all brands to hybrid by 2019, a banking source close to FCA said, noting: "The tech divide determines winners and losers in the industry." Marchionne has already said half of the wider FCA fleet will incorporate some elements of electrification by 2022, while luxury marque Maserati will spearhead FCA's electrification drive by making all new models due after 2019 electric. But its plans remain vaguer and less advanced than most big rivals and some investors wonder about the capital required to make vehicles compliant, and what share of spending can go to electrification given FCA's numerous demands.

Government Ending Jeep Investigation

Tue, Jan 21 2014

The government is closing its investigation into older-model Jeeps with fuel tanks that could rupture and cause fires. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Friday it has "no reservations" with Chrysler Group's plans to recall the vehicles. The agency is expected to release a report on its investigation in a few weeks. The decision ends an unusually public struggle between Chrysler and NHTSA. The agency asked Chrysler to recall 2.7 million Jeeps last June, contending that their gas tanks - which are positioned behind the rear axle - were at risk of rupturing and catching fire in rear-end crashes. Involved were Grand Cherokee SUVs from the 1993 to 2004 model years and Liberty SUVs from 2002 to 2007. Chrysler initially refused to recall the vehicles. The company said the rate of fuel leaks and fires after crashes was similar to comparable vehicles that were sold during the time in question. It was the first time in two years that an automaker had refused NHTSA's request for a recall. Chrysler later agreed to recall 1.56 million of the Jeeps and install trailer hitches on them to help protect the gas tanks. The company sent notices to the remaining customers saying their vehicles were fine if they have factory-installed or Chrysler-made trailer hitches. NHTSA said late Friday that it has been in close contact with Chrysler and will monitor the recall as it continues. Chrysler has told customers that it will start installing the hitches soon. "Consumers should have their vehicles serviced promptly once they receive final notification from Chrysler,"NHTSA said in a statement. In its own statement Friday, Chrysler said, "We share NHTSA's commitment to safety." NHTSA's outgoing chief, David Strickland, told The Associated Press in an interview last month that Chrysler had convinced NHTSA that the Jeeps were no more dangerous than similar vehicles sold at that time. "Those vehicles performed at a rate similar to their peers. That is the keystone analysis as to whether something poses an unreasonable risk to safety," Strickland said. Friday was Strickland's last day at NHTSA. He is joining Venable, a law firm. NHTSA began investigating the Jeeps at the request of the Center for Auto Safety, a Washington-based advocacy group. "It is tragic that NHTSA approved Chrysler's sham trailer hitch recall for Jeeps that explode in rear impacts," the Center for Auto Safety's director, Clarence Ditlow, said Friday.

Chrysler accelerates Jeep recall repairs from 2018 to March

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

You may remember that Jeep's unusual fix for this recall involves fitting a trailer hitch.
The recall of about 1.5 million models of the 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty and 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee over fuel tanks may finish far sooner than originally estimated. In a new filing from Jeep's parent, Chrysler Group, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company says that it can complete the repairs for the affected vehicles by March 2015, much sooner than the previous estimate of sometime in 2018. Jeep predicts the total cost of the campaign will be around $151 million.
