Family owned since new (Selling for my Uncle) 79,000 miles Laredo New Tires Power everything 1- Owner with only 79,000 miles on this Jeep Grand Cherokee. This Jeep has been in the family since new, it is in perfect shape mechanically with no past issues. Always serviced by the dealership where it was locally purchased. The 3.7L V6 is great on power with decent fuel mileage. The light gray interior is in great condition, seats look like new and the carpets have been steam cleaned. Seats 5 with power everything including power driver and passenger seats. Has cold a/c and hot heat. The jeep has some scratches and dents from being driven in downtown Atlanta and big cities for the past 8 years by its owner. Specifically there is the dent in the rear passenger door and the passenger quarter panel. The hood has a wrinkle from hitting a deer a few years ago. Also, there are scratches down the driver side. China orders Jeep to investigate Wrangler fire risk
Mon, 06 Jan 2014It's been some time since we've heard anything about fires related to the Jeep Wrangler (foreign or domestic), but it sounds like the go-anywhere SUV could be in hot water once again in China. Bloomberg is reporting that the Chinese government is ordering Jeep to investigate the matter and, in the meantime, also recommending Wrangler owners to not drive their vehicles in "extreme conditions" due to a "relatively high risk" of catching on fire.
There is no indication as to how many vehicles or which model years are affected, but the previous fire problems in both the US and China - which led to investigations but no recalls - were traced back to automatic transmission fluid leaks. The article, however, does not say what the potential problem is this time around as Jeep has not released a comment on the matter. The official notice, in Chinese, can be found here.
