YOU ARE BIDDING ON A VERY WELL MAINTAINED 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 4X4 LAREDO. I PURCHASED THE JEEP A YEAR AGO FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. IN THE PAST YEAR I HAVE PUT A LOT OF MONEY INTO THE JEEP. IT HAS A REBUILT TRANSMISSION($1050), NEW BRAKES AND ROTORS, NEW REAR WHEEL BEARINGS, NEW WHEELS AND TIRES FROM A LATE MODEL GRAND CHEROKEE (TAKE OFFS WITH LESS THAN 4000 MILES ON THEM) $1200, WATERPROOF NEOPREME SEAT COVERS FRONT AND REAR ($520), FRONT AND REAR WEATHERTECH FLOORLINERS ($200), ALL FACTORY DOOR SPEAKERS WERE REPLACED WITH TOP OF THE LINE ROCKFORD FOSGATE SPEAKERS ALONG WITH A NEW KENWOOD CD/MP3 PLAYER WITH USB CONNECT, ROCKFORD FOSGATE AMPLIFIER AND SUBWOOFER IN THE REAR ($1540 IN STEREO SYSTEM..AND IT SOUNDS INCREDIBLE). THE JEEP RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD AND NEEDS NOTHING. THE ORIGINAL SEATS AND CARPET ARE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH ONLY ONE SMALL TEAR IN THE DRIVERS SEAT. THE JEEP WAS REPAINTED ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO AND SHINES GREAT. EVERYTHING ON THE JEEP WORKS AS IT SHOULD. IT HAS POWER DRIVERS SEAT, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, AND POWER WINDOWS AND LOCKS. THE JEEP IS VERY DEPENDABLE AND SHOULD MAKE SOMEONE A GREAT VEHICLE FOR A LONG TIME. IT HAS 156,000 HWY MILES AND HAS NOT BEEN OFFROADED. THE ORIGINAL OWNER HAD A 80 MILE PER DAY COMMUTE TO WORK WHICH ACCOUNTS FOR THE HIGH MILEAGE. YOU WON'T FIND A CLEANER MORE DEPENDABLE VEHICLE AT THIS PRICE. I WILL CONSIDER DELIVERY WITH 100 OR SO FOR A SMALL PREDETERMINED PRICE. I HAD THE JEEP INSPECTED LAST WEEK SO IT HAS A NEW INSPECTION STICKER AS WELL. I BUILT THIS FOR MY SON AND HE LEAVES FOR COLLEGE ON 8/15 AND HE CANNOT TAKE A VEHICLE SO I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE IT PARKED AND PAY INSURANCE FOR NOTHING ALL YEAR. IT DOESN'T HAVE ANY KNOWN PROBLEMS AND THE BUY IT NOW IS VERY REASONABLE. ANY QUESTIONS OR TO ARRANGE A TEST DRIVE PLEASE CALL 304-940-0110.
I WOULD CONSIDER TRADES ON A EARLY BRONCO 66-77, HOTROD, OR DUAL SPORT MOTORCYCLE BUT SINCE I'M LOSING MONEY AT THIS PRICE YOU SHOULD EXPECT THE SAME.

Daily Driver: 2015 Jeep Renegade Sport 4x4
Fri, Jul 10 2015Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog test fleet, reviewed by the staffers who drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 Jeep Renegade Sport 4x4, reviewed by Adam Morath. Something to note: The vehicle tested here is a pre-production unit, and we had some issues with the MySky removable roof system. (Associate editor Brandon Turkus mentioned these problems in his Quick Spin.) FCA confirms that improvements were made for production-spec cars. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. [00:00:00] Hey, this is Adam Morath with another Daily Driver. Today, we're in the 2015 Jeep Renegade and I'm excited to be driving this in a Sport trim level. That's the lowest trim that they offer it in. I say I'm excited, because often we get the cars to totally spec-ed out to the max, the automaker trying to show off what they can do with the car but it doesn't always give you a realistic view of how most customers are going to spec the car, and I think with the Renegade being the entry-level model for Jeep now [00:00:30] replacing the outgoing Patriot and Compass, it makes sense to drive this in the Sport trim. We do have it in 4x4, comes in at just around $23,000. It's powered by a turbocharged 1.4 liter inline 4 and we've got it, made it to the 6-speed manual transmission, which is pretty cool. Again you can see FCA's fingerprints on this car. If they wanted to do well in Europe, of course you've got to offer it with a manual and that's nice for consumers here to have that choice of having a stick shift in the Jeep again. [00:01:00] That's kind of fun. It produces 160-horsepower, 184 pound-feet of torque. It's got a little pack to it. I wouldn't call it sporty but it's enough for a vehicle of this size. This is a pretty basic version of the renegade. The only options we have on it are the AC, the roof rails, 4-wheel drive, which is a must here in Michigan and then these MySky roof panels, which I'll get to in a minute, but that takes us from a base price of $18,000, the cheapest you'll be able to get into a Renegade for [00:01:30] up to about $23,700, which is where we're at. Yes, these are MySky roof panels. It's a totally new feature on the Renegade that Jeep is trying out and I think it's pretty cool. It's like a tee top system, except the panels aren't side by side. You have one in the front and one in the back.
Jeep Wrangler's shift to aluminum could see production leave Toledo
Mon, 06 Oct 2014The Jeep Wrangler may be a timeless design, but sooner or later, time will run out and Chrysler will have to replace it with a newer model more friendly towards the earth it's designed to traverse. That will, it seems, mean a shift to aluminum construction (whether just for the body or for the entire structure) - but what will that mean for the Wrangler's long-time home of Toledo, OH?
According to the latest pronouncements from Fiat Chrysler chief Sergio Marchionne, the shift to an aluminum Wrangler would likely mean moving production out of Toledo. "If the solution is aluminum," Marchionne told Automotive News, "then I think unfortunately Toledo is the wrong place, the wrong setup to try and build a Wrangler, because it requires a complete reconfiguring of the assets that would be cost-prohibitive."
Marchionne also indicated that, were Wrangler production to move elsewhere, it would find another line to take its place in Ohio. "One of the thing that we are dealing with now is what else we do with Toledo that fulfills our commitment to the city and to Ohio. I don't have a doubt that there will be zero impact on head count and employment levels and anything else." Jeep has built the Wrangler in Toledo since World War II, with the exception of six years starting in 1986 when it was built in Brampton, Ontario. The complex dates back to 1910 and currently produces the Wrangler and Cherokee. Past products have included the Wagoneer and Commanche as well as the Dodge Dakota and Nitro.
Jeep leads list of 25 most patriotic brands
Thu, 04 Jul 2013It's not unusual to feel extra patriotic this time of year, what with the Fourth of July being today and all. As if to celebrate, New York-based research firm Brand Keys conducted a study among 4,500 consumers about what brands they find to be the most patriotic. According to the Detroit Free Press, Jeep took top honors in this study, besting other American stalwart brands including Coca-Cola, Levi's and Hershey's.
Interestingly, the only other automotive brand to make the list was Ford, in the 16th spot (motorcycle fans take note - Harley-Davidson claimed the No. 13 slot). This means consumers found Jeep to be more patriotic than any of the brands in the General Motors portfolio, including Chevrolet, which has long used American themes in its advertising over the decades.
According to Brand Keys, Jeep came in "with a score of 98 out of 100 on a scale representing consumers' emotional engagement expectations," the Detroit Free Press reports. Be sure to read the report to scan the entire Top 25 list for yourself.
