2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo *owners Manual* Runs Great! 23 Hwy Mpg on 2040-cars
Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, United States
2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4-dr 6-cyl 136,900 mi 23-MPG Hwy automatic gray exterior & interior, new inspection. Runs great! *Original Owners Manual* Mileage may be 137,000 by the time it sells. It has cloth seats which have no tears, or worn off spots. This car is 14 years old, so it isn't like new. There are minor problems that don't affect running, like the hood & trunk need to have a stick put in to hold them up. The service engine light is always on, as well as the airbag and seat belt lights. *It doesn't burn oil at all* The engine is in excellent shape. The a/c works, but not much. I don't care for a/c personally, so I didn't bother having that looked at. Radio works well. I haven't tried to use the cd player. I've had it for a year and 3 months, driven it about 4,000 miles, and have replaced a few things as they came up - brakes, 2 tires, tie rods & alternator. Frankly, this car is too big for me, so I'm selling it because I really want to get a smaller car. NO warrantee or guarantee I've described the car to the best of my ability, and can make no promises about it, because I'm not a mechanic. Please bring a mechanic to check it out for yourself. Car sells AS IS **Payment required within 2 days of purchase. Local pick up only** |

2014 Jeep Cherokee configurator up and running
Fri, 09 Aug 2013Production delays aside, Jeep is steaming towards its September on-sale date for the 2014 Cherokee. The reborn midsizer's configurator has just gone live, meaning you can fiddle with different options, colors and trim levels to your heart's content.
The cheapest model available is the 4X2 Sport, which starts at a reasonable $22,995. On the high end, the Cherokee's builder allowed us to indulge our passion for ludicrously priced vehicles by outfitting the top-end Trailhawk, which already starts at $29,495, with $8,610 in options. The resulting car, which you can see above, would retail for $39,100 after the $995 destination is factored in.
Head on over to Jeep's build-it-yourself website and have a look around.
Millionth Jeep Wrangler JK to roll off line this morning
Fri, 17 May 2013According to a report on the Chrysler Communications Facebook page and one fairly grainy image of the production line, at around 11:00AM Eastern this morning, the one-millionth Jeep Wrangler JK will roll out of the company's Toledo assembly plant.
The third-generation or "JK" Jeep Wrangler has been around since the 2007 model year, and has obviously been more popular than ever. With a greater than ever number of trim levels, two-door and four-door Unlimited models and hardy off-roading Rubicon packages, the JK offers more to choose from than ever for those looking for something in a traditional Jeep. In fact, with the modern 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 powering it, the 2012 model year saw more than 140k Wrangers sold here in the US; the best-ever figure for the model.
With a model refresh due out for the Wrangler in 2015 (along with the likely addition of a diesel engine option), we expect that sales will continue to roll right along, too.
Chrysler recalling nearly 141k vehicles over electrical woes
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Software glitches that randomly illuminate warning lights and cause instrument cluster blackouts are forcing Chrysler to recall 140,800 vehicles, The Detroit News reports. The automaker is recalling 132,000 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokees, 91,559 of which are in the US. In addition to the Jeep recalls, Chrysler is adding 10,800 2014 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks to the list for similar problems.
Chrysler reportedly says, "Both events occurred infrequently and appeared to resolve themselves by tuning the vehicle's ignition off and then on."
Engineers discovered a problem with the anti-lock-braking system software that causes the instrument cluster display of the Grand Cherokee to illuminate warning lights and black out - even its ABS and electronic stability control systems are affected. To fix the Jeeps, Chrysler will update the vehicle's software.
