You are bidding on a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 4.7L V8. The jeep is very reliable. It runs great, the motor and transmission have been very well maintained. I have never had any mechanical issues. It rides very nice. The seats are very comfortable. The back seats fold down for added cargo space. There is an aftermarket tow hitch. The headlights are clear and not fogged over. The motor is also clean. This jeep has all the options available for a 1999: cruise control, radio controls on the steering wheel, leather heated power seats, a sunroof, 10 disc cd player, power windows and power locks, a rear 12 volt/20 amp socket for accessories. It also has all time four wheel drive so it is extremely good in the snow and rain. However, there are a few scratches in the paint, two small rust spots by the rear fenders, and a tiny dent on the driver side rear panel. I've included these in the pictures. The interior has a couple small rips in the driver side seat and there is a slight whining noise coming from the front driver side tire. All in all this jeep is a great deal for the money and very nice and reliable SUV.

NHTSA closes investigation into Jeep Liberty fires
Sun, 16 Mar 2014The investigation that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened into the Jeep Liberty in October 2013 has been closed. NHTSA received two (!) complaints about fires starting in the driver's door, thought to be caused by the master power window switch. The initial estimate was that 80,000 Libertys could be roped into a possible recall, but according to a report in the Detroit News the agency examined records for 425,000 Chrysler products that used the same window switch, including the Dodge Nitro and Chrysler Town & Country minivan.
After canvassing 265 warranty claims related to the master switches, NHTSA concluded that the rate of fires compared to the "large population of vehicles" was rather low, and that there was no trend pattern behind the few issues it did find. Perhaps with that, and the closure of the trailer hitch investigation, the Liberty can finally rest in peace.
Jeep Renegade Hell's Revenge is the Harley rider's Jeep
Fri, Jun 17 2016Well, here's a thing. Yes, it's a Jeep Renegade. Yes, it has flames on it. And no, we aren't really sure how to feel about it. This is the Renegade Hell's Revenge. Presumably named after the Hell's Revenge Trail in Moab, this one-off baby Jeep is the product of Italian tuning house Garage Italia Customs and draws inspiration from the collected works of Harley-Davidson. It's not the first time a car company has attached the Milwaukee icon's badge to one of its vehicles – the company has a long history of partnering with Ford for special edition pickup trucks – but it's the first time we can recall the brand teaming with Jeep. The Hell's Revenge was created because of the 25th annual European H.O.G. Rally, a big Harley-Davidson festival being held in Portoroz, Slovenia this weekend. And since Europeans have a bizarre infatuation with Harleys, Jeep probably saw an excellent advertising opportunity and slotted the off-road brand in as the event's main sponsor. We have to admire the workmanship on this diesel-powered Renegade. Ignore the fact that there's a flame motif, and the actual paint job itself is absolutely lovely. According to FCA's official release, GIC used four layers of matte paint before applying fluorescent paint. The dashboard also gets a bright, exuberant flame motif, while the seats are a combination of Foglizzo Nappa leather and black denim. The functional changes are minor. BFGoodrich tires and a jacked-up suspension provide extra capability, and there are a pair of adorable LED spotlights ahead of the two A-pillars. It's an impressive effort. Really. But when you remember that the last Chrysler product to wear a flame motif was the PT Cruiser, we wonder if Jeep knew what kind of company its newest CUV would be in. Related Video:
