I am selling a used but in GREAT condition Jeep. This jeep has been extremely well maintained and I have current maintenance records that I have included a picture of. You can zoom in to see everything that was just done to this Jeep within the last month. I have just purchased a Ford Raptor so I am selling my Jeep. The Jeep has all windows tinted with dark tint. The front window also has an eyebrow tint. It also has custom 20" rims with low pro tires. The tires were just replaced which were over $1,000 WITH a discount from my friend who is the manager at Firestone. These tires are less than a month old and are rated at 50,000K so you shouldn't have to replace these for years, if ever. I also had them change the oil and air filter, do a complete check, charge the air conditioning and flush the coolant while it was there. This is a beautiful jeep and gets MANY MANY looks when you are driving down the road. There is absolutely no mechanical errors at all with this Jeep. There are a 4 very minor astetic things that most people will never notice that I have included pictures of at the end. The driver door handle plastic is cracked but still works completely fine. A vent in the BACK of the jeep is missing the slides and there is a scratch on the passanger side rear fender that I'm sure that can be buffed out. You can barely see the scratch from 10 feet away, but I got a closeup for you so you know. Last thing, there are some scratches on a few of the rims from the previous owner hitting a few curbs. I have a friend that owns a mechanic shop and can get the rims fixed, re-finished and powder coated and color you want for $150. (I would stick with black though, either gloss or matte, it looks so nice) Besides those very minor details, it is perfect. I just had the inside completely detailed over a month ago, so it looks brand new on the inside. NON SMOKING vehicle. If you would like any more pictures or videos of it running or something, I would be more than happy to provide them. Whoever wins this car will have a real eye turner and pull a lot of attention.

What's really going on with the 2014 Jeep Cherokee's transmission issues?
Fri, 27 Sep 2013On September 23, Automotive News reported that Chrysler had idled the second shift workers it hired just five weeks prior at its Toledo Assembly Complex to build the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. At the time, Chrysler said it had "built the critical number of vehicles we need to stock dealerships once containment is released" and did not want "to put additional strain on our logistics partners ... upon release." That reasoning was not only unusual, it didn't seem to make sense.
It appears the center of the nine-speed issue is software, not hardware.
That same day, the Detroit News ran a piece claiming workers at the Toledo factory said the halt was due to issues with the Cherokee's transmission. It put the number of already-built Cherokees needing fixes at 1,000 and said that some of the workers not laid off had been instructed "to take the Jeep on long test-drives." That made more sense. Three days later, on September 26, Automotive News reported that the 500 workers laid off had been reinstated, with engineers "speeding repairs on the SUV's powertrain software." The AN piece didn't put a number on how many units are being fixed, but it did say that 12,000 have been built and are awaiting delivery to dealers. The best it could say about when dealers will get them, however, is that "progress on a fix is being made. It's unclear when shipments to dealers will start."
Jeep Cherokee faces on-sale delay
Sat, 23 Mar 2013A report in The Wall Street Journal looks at some of the obstacles to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee that go beyond its mootable yet "very contemporary" looks, almost all of them based on Fiat's financial position. Starting with that sheetmetal, in defense of it SRT president Ralph Gilles and Jeep design head Mark Allen said they wanted to "make sure the design still looks modern five years from now."
The WSJ piece doesn't cite longevity as a factor, instead saying that its features originated in a design for an Alfa Romeo, the transformation into a Jeep design meant allowing Chrysler get it to market more quickly and save "hundreds of millions of dollars" in engineering.
The need for Fiat to save money while it weathers the European situation has cut budgets for development, engineering and the pace of retooling the Toledo, Ohio plant to build the Cherokee. In a familiar case of snowballing at work, among the effects will be pushing back the Cherokee's volume sales date and delaying updates to some of Chrysler's other products.
NHTSA closes investigation on 4.7M FCA power modules, no recall
Thu, Jul 30 2015FCA US hasn't had the best time with recalls as of late. Not only did the company recently agree to greater safety oversight and paid $105 million to the government, that came just days after hacking fears prompted a 1.4-million model recall campaign. However, a recent decision to close an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration means that the automaker doesn't have to worry about another major recall possibly affecting 4.7 million vehicles, according to the agency's report (as a PDF). Last September, the Center for Auto Safety petitioned NHTSA to investigate an alleged problem with the totally integrated power module (TIPM) on these FCA US models. The group claimed that a fault with the component could cause a variety of maladies, including stalls, not starting, catching fire, unintended acceleration, and airbag non-deployment. At the time, it also submitted 70 cases where this had reportedly happened. According to NHTSA, "no valid evidence was presented in support of claims related to airbag non-deployment, unintended acceleration, or fire resulting from TIPM faults and these claims were found to be wholly without merit based on review of the field data and design of the relevant systems and components." The agency did find signs of an issue with the fuel pump relay in some Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos, but FCA US issued recalls for the problem in September 2014 and February 2015. Without anything else to go on, the Feds don't think it's worth investigating this topic any more.
