NADA VALUE  Assuming average mileage of 240,000

1989 Jeep Corporation (AMC) Comanche Pickup

Base Price

$8,259MSRP

$2,475Low

$5,500Average

$7,800High

Question now is... What is this truck worth as a well maintained, very nice original condition vehicle with 150,000 less miles than assumed in the above NADA valuation!  $200 minimum per 10K? That adds up to $3000 in addtional value over the NADA assumed mileage of this collectible! You bid and tell me what it's worth!

First off let me state what an absolute greenlight sale is... That means if you may take this truck to any local mechanic you like and if you find any mechanical defects in the drive train, brakes, suspension or fuel system, you have the right to a full repair in your winning bid or you will be allowed to back out of the sale. Buyer is responsible for any and all costs of an inspection and must present an estiamte to us for consideration in the event buyer chooses to back out. We will then either credit the cost of the repair to the buyer or have the repair done. We will gladly take vehicle for inspection prior to time of pick-up to eliminate wasted travel time and or expence. We will also gladly pick up buyer at bus terminal or local airport to aid in the delivery or work with buyers transportation company!

This 1989 Jeep Comanche pick up truck is in very good driving and running condition with only 090,300 original miles on it. Excelent candidate for restoration or for reliable transportation! There is no way to flip the odometer on this one. This vehicle has a Clean Carfax and it has never wrecked and it was never abused! Oil changes ever 3K or 6 mos when driven. From our understanding this vehicle was tied up in an estate for several years and is why mileage is as low as it is... It also appears to have had very little exposure to the winter elements with minimal surface rust repaired on original paint in pretty nice condition, esecially for the year... The body is nice with very few minor dings... nicer than most locally driven and maintained 2006+ vehicles!

I will add this comment as the registered owner! I personally just took a 500 mile trip in this truck and got great gas mileage all the way (about 25MPG average) and had no issues what so ever! Truck has never fail to start for me... This truck looks about as good as it runs and is way too nice for me to work out of it although it is reliable. I know it is collectible to some extent too! The value has increased a good deal recently! There is some repair work done on the original rear bumper but as a collectible you can't go wrong even if you choose to replace this rear bumper in a minimal restoration. As a driver though the truck still has excellent value. Should run another 150K at the minimum! Seats are likely replaced as they are grey (correct split bench bucket style w console) there is a tear in passenger side... It would be an easy seat to order new upholstery for.  The console was removed for something custom and has not been replaced... Original Jeep Stereo w cassette is still intact and works good! Windows go up and down with no issues, doors hand correctly and locks work well. Interior needs very little... Carpet is still nice! Mechanically, much has already been done to return the truck to running and functioning like new including: Complete new brake system - rotors, pads, lines and hoses, drums, shoes hardware and hoses... Suspension and steering redone not long ago with new springs, shocks, ball joints, tie rod ends and all topped off with a professional alignment...the exhaust has been redone too! Also has a set of Like new BF Goodrich radials!  Non-refundable $200 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours to secure this auction purchase... Come look at this one before you bid so you don't get outbid in assuming less than is to be delivered! No buyer's remourse here!

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel and SRT climb onto stage

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

This is indeed a case of not knowing how much we wanted something until it arrived. We've been big fans of the Jeep Grand Cherokee ever since the new model arrived a couple of years ago, and while the update you see here might seem just a slight refresh, it's actually much more than that.
For starters, the 2014 Grand Cherokee marks the return of a diesel model here in the States, with Chrysler's new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 under the hood, churning out 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, all of the Grand Cherokee's usual off-road goodies are on hand, with moderate tweaks to make it an even more capable vehicle when the going gets rough. Both the gasoline-fed 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter V8 get the new eight-speed auto, as well.
The high-performance Grand Cherokee SRT also trudges on into the new model year, with very subtle tweaks found underneath the aggressive, slightly redesigned sheetmetal. The 6.4-liter Hemi V8 also gets eight-speed gearing, which Chrysler says will improve not only 0-60 times, but mid-range performance as well. Bring it on, we say.

The List: Best of proving grounds

Proving grounds are where automakers and enthusiasts alike go to push their vehicles to their mechanical limits. The Rubicon Trail, located in the Sierra Nevada, is the ultimate off-road test, while Germany's Nurburgring is a grueling 13 mile road and track course. Jessi and Patrick visit both iconic proving grounds in this "best of" compilation of The List. Dodge and Jeep recalling 895k SUVs for possibility of headliner fires

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

Dodge and Jeep are announcing recalls of a total of 895,000 Durango and Grand Cherokee models worldwide from the 2011 through 2014 model years. There's a possibility that the wiring in the sun visor can short circuit and cause a fire. It specifically affects vehicles built between January 5, 2010, and December 11, 2013, and there are approximately 651,000 of them in the US, 45,700 in Canada, 23,000 in Mexico and 175,000 outside of North America.
Screws that fasten the sunvisor to the headliner may pierce wires in the visor, if the part has been removed or serviced, potentially causing a fire risk. If the wires short circuit, they could overheat and potentially combust. The automakers report three injuries caused by this defect, and according to the investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "there may be a total of 52 unique fire incidents."
To fix the problem, Dodge and Jeep will inspect the vehicles for suspect wiring, and all of the models, whether damaged or not, will get a new sun visor spacer with a wire guide to stop the possibility of short circuits. According to the automakers' announcement, "this condition is not present in vehicles which have not had the headliner or vanity mirror serviced." They will notify affected owners, and repairs will begin in August.
