the reason for selling is I need a large full size pickup truck, so if anybody has one they want to tr==de me for it, let me know

I have a nice and very desirable 1988 Jeep Comanche Pickup, this is my daily driver, has 177K miles, runs great,4.0 Ltr engine fuel injected, 6 cylinder automatic 2 wheel drive,,never a problem, not a show truck, but very very nice, shows well, and even has a/c that works, set of brand new tires, with less than 500 miles on em,(at Firestone in town, I have the receipt with road hazard insurance to) nice truck. Anyone that knows about these trucks knows they last forever, probably one of the best vehicles jeep every put out,,,

The Comanche is very nice, and as I mentioned is a daily driver, so its not a show truck, but it looks great, I had a total paint job done approx 3 years ago, it still looks good,
there are not rips or tears in the seats,
here are a couple of little problems for full disclosure

1. a/c works ice cold but will leak out after about 2 months,,so it usually gets me through the hot months with no problem, so it has a small leak somewhere never really bothered me so I didnt look into it, probably not a big deal,
2. I carried a heavy load about a year ago, and since then my brake pedal is a little lower than it was,
still works perfectly and was told it is a rear brake shoe adjustment,, I just didnt get to it yet as we got used to having it like that, but it stops fine,,
3.the chrome trim ring around the ignition key fell off, I have it, and glue it back on once every 6 months ( I just re glued it again,so it will be on there)
4. the sunvisor clip above the driver is snapped where it rotates, but still works fine,,,
5. I dont have a spare tire,,but the jack and everything else is there, , just never had one

thats about it,,
please do not purchase this here if you dont have funds ready to buy,  I expect payment immediatley at the close of auction, I dont want to hear excuses, if your not ok with this, please do not bid, or buy, I am selling to purchase a new truck, so I do need the money asap,
the truck is EXACTLY as I describe

this means ask all questions BEFORE you bid, not after,,  I DO NOT accept pay pal, for payment , so please keep that in mind, I will accept any other method,

Auto critic calls out Corvette, Mustang and Cherokee faithful

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long. That's fair enough, but do you think Phelan is on point, or all wet? Head on over to the Detroit Free Press to read his words, then have your say in Comments.

Here's why you shouldn't try to drift a Jeep Cherokee

Tue, Nov 25 2014

This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. There are many reasons why an XJ-generation (or really any other) Jeep Cherokee doesn't make for a good drift machine. It's tall, it's four-wheel-drive... it's a Jeep, okay? But someone apparently forgot to tell that to this guy. Uploaded to LiveLeak, this video shows some poor schmuck who took his Cherokee to a (mostly) empty parking lot and tried to drift it. Needless to say, things didn't go quite as he planned, but they probably went exactly as you might have expected. Thankfully, nobody appears to have been hurt. Or at least, we assume so, since the guy apparently survived to put the video up online.

Stellantis suspends vehicle production in Russia

Tue, Apr 19 2022

MILAN - Stellantis on Tuesday said it was suspending production at its Russian plant due to logistical difficulties and sanctions imposed on Moscow. The world's fourth-largest automaker, which produced and sold the Peugeot, Citro¸n, Opel, Jeep, and Fiat brands in Russia, has just 1% of the country's car market. It runs a van-making plant in Kaluga, around 125 miles (201 kilometres) southeast of Moscow, co-owned with Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi, which halted production at the facility earlier this month. "Given the rapid daily increase in cross sanctions and logistical difficulties, Stellantis has suspended its manufacturing operations in Kaluga to ensure full compliance with all cross sanctions and to protect its employees," Stellantis said in a statement. The plant employs 2,700 people. The company will continue to pay salaries through a local downtime scheme and by using anticipated vacation periods, Stellantis told Reuters. It said it did not know how long the stoppage would last, adding that its priority was its staff and the return of peace. Stellantis had already suspended all exports and imports of vehicles with Russia, following Moscow's invasion of Ukraine, moving production to western Europe. It had also said it was freezing plans for more investments in the country. Van production in Kaluga had remained just for the local market. Scores of foreign companies have announced temporary shutdowns of stores and factories in Russia or said they were leaving the country for good since Russia began what it calls "a special military operation" in Ukraine on Feb. 24. Stellantis Chief Executive Carlos Tavares in late March said the group would have to close the Kaluga plant shortly as it was running out of parts. Separately on Tuesday, General Motors Co said it was extending its suspension of business in Russia due to the conflict and international sanctions. The U.S. automaker, which initially suspended imports into Russia and commercial activity on Feb. 28, said it was laying off most of its 66 employees and providing them with separation packages. GM does not have plants in Russia and only sold about 3,000 vehicles annually there prior to the suspension.
