1986 Jeep Comanche X - A Sweet Standard Cab 4x4 Pick Up Truck..2 Door on 2040-cars
Urbana, Ohio, United States
First a foremost I have to clarify something! The vehicle accident history report on this truck is incorrect! It states this vehicle has been involved in two accidents..one being on 5/24/97 and the other on 12/13/13. The first I was unaware of and have no information on. The second accident reported is false! I have owned this truck since August 2006 and it has never been in an accident as long as it's been in my possession. Matter of fact it was sitting in my garage on 12/13/13! In the eight years of ownership I've never had one single insurance claim on it. I've contacted my insurance company and I will gladly provide proof to any interested parties to dispute this false report!
Selling this black beauty breaks my heart because of sentimental reasons, I'm purchasing a home is in my near future! This 1st year Comanche X has so many pros which includes... -New Chevy 3.4 V6 with only 1300 miles -4X4 Long Bed -Air & Cruise -Near Perfect Red Interior -Kick Ass Sound System "Professionally Installed" -Numerous New Parts To Mention "Always Professionally Installed" With Receipts A vehicle of this age does have it's flaws such as: -Some surface rust, mostly on the rocker panels -Original rims have some corrosion -Loose head liner above rear sliding window -Dented rear chrome step bumper -Installed 2 barrel carb on new engine..runs good..but fuel injection would do it justice This "Sharp" truck will make a nice daily driver or a great head start on a total resoration! "Thank You" for your interest... |

Jeep rocks the Wrangler Red Rock concept in Vegas [w/video]
Thu, Nov 5 2015The SEMA show may have once been all about dropping rides to the floor, but these days it's at least as much about jacking them up on lifted suspensions. And few show cars – or trucks, we should say – managed to embody that spirit at this year's tuner exposition quite as well as the Jeep Wrangler Red Rock you see here. The concept started out life as a Wrangler Unlimited, but instead of four doors, it has none. Or any roof, for that matter. Just a roll cage and a windscreen. What it does have are 17-inch wheels wearing 35-inch BF Goodrich tires and fitted to a suspension lifted by two inches. It also has a reinforced tailgate, power winch, tow hooks... everything, in short, that you could want or need for off-roading, and little more. As you can see, it also looks the business, with a custom hood, body-color grille, matte-finish bumpers, and a brown leather interior. Handsome as it is, though, its rugged beauty runs more than skin deep: lift off the sheetmetal and you'd find electronic locking differentials, a transfer case, and solid axles fore and aft. A more extreme take on the existing Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock edition, the Red Rock show truck was done up to honor the organization behind the Easter Jeep Safari that's a favorite among the legions of the Jeep faithful. And while it remains a concept only for the time being, a production version is slated to follow in time to celebrate the event's 50th anniversary next year. Related Video:

Jeep mulling power top for next Wrangler
Fri, 07 Mar 2014Jeep is hard at work on the next-generation Wrangler, though the truck is still a few years from hitting the trails. The new model will still be aimed at off-roaders, but rumors suggest it will be a little more comfortable than previous versions to appeal to more people.
According to Road and Track, Jeep is developing a power-retractable top as an expensive option for the Wrangler. There is no word if the top in question is a sliding canvas rollback like the ones found on many European vehicles or a full convertible hardtop or softtop, nor do we know whether it would be made available on two- or four-door models. It might be a nice feature for some buyers but would certainly add complexity to a truck already known for its ruggedness. We asked Jeep for confirmation, but Jeep spokesperson Todd Goyer could only remind us that the company "can't comment about future products."
In news that is likely to irk the faithful, R&T reports the next model may also ditch its folding windshield for improved safety and possibly even get rid of its rear-mounted, full-size spare tire. The new Wrangler won't go completely soft, though, and will reportedly still feature removable doors and solid axles.
