Supercharged 1984 Jeep Cherokee 4-door 2.8l 4wd on 2040-cars
Salinas, California, United States
I have a really neat, rare '84 Cherokee up for sale here. Extensive engine / driveline work, still has the original blue plates and original title (I purchased it from the original owner). It was parked about 15yrs ago, and started up every few years. I went through the electrical and vacuum system and got it running (lots of repaired vac lines, new ignition etc). It really moves when it starts building boost (around 5psi with the current pulleys). The body is actually in very good shape, with the exception of the roof, which had wet leaves sitting on it and caused it to rust through in various places around the roof rack mounting holes. It's temporarily sealed up so rain water doesn't get inside (not perfect, as rain water does still get in.....). The roof could be just spot patched or fully replaced, I have a full replacement roof that comes with it for either route.
ENGINE: 2.8l with a Fageol Supercharger kit (BAR/smog legal) (fageolsuperchargers.com) Engine professionally rebuilt by Salinas 4x4 Ported/ polished heads Forged pistons with zero-gap piston rings Blower cam Roller rockers Engine is fully balanced High volume oil pump, remote mount oil filter and remote cooler Crank is cross-drilled and chamfered 2.5" turbo exhaust system Torqeflite trans has only 20k miles on professional overhaul and includes Transgo race-level valve body (nice firm shifts; in 4low, it will chirp the tires into all gears) 2" receiver hitch TO DO: Needs a speedo cable, and the gauges are out because of that. Heater works fine, stereo has been removed, but I have one you can put back in. Roof repair (unless I get really REALLY bored and do it myself....but then the price will go up...) It does have a BAR label on the door frame, and the computer is pre-check engine light, so all it really has to pass for CA Smog is the tailpipe emissions. Still has all necessary equipment (catalytic converter, EGR, etc) Fully legal swap as explained in the Fageol paperwork. VIDEO!! You may have to copy paste the link as eBay doesn't let you put in links like they used to. This is a cold start, you can hear the idle is on the fast idle cam. (No smoke, the tailpipe just has moisture coming out from it warming up.) s800.photobucket.com/user/yellowoctupus/media/craigslist/M4V02347.mp4.html

As evidence of this, just check out the 1,000+ comments in our article last week and some of the many opinions that were voiced. Following this not-too-warm reception, Ward's Auto had a chance to talk to Chrysler designer chief - and SRT president - Ralph Gilles, who shed a little more light on the styling direction of the new Cherokee. Driving the Panamera and Mike's Rant | Autoblog Podcast #487Thu, Sep 8 2016This week we cover some recent news like the upcoming Land Rover Discovery, updates to FCA's large car platform (including the Challenger), and talk about water injection. Then we go into what we've been driving - David just finished his time in the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Mike tried the GMC Acadia. And then Mike (who is still uncomfortable writing in the third person) goes on a rant about why automakers shouldn't specify which cars are aimed at women. The rundown is below. When they were introduced, the return to circular headlights helped pull my dad into the dealer, and he bought one. A few years later, I learned how to drive a stick in that Jeep. Now, MotorWeek has fired up the time machine for a look at the '97 Wrangler as part of the Retro Review series. One of the great things about these videos is that they offer a chance to see if nostalgia lives up to reality. In this situation, that seems to be the mostly case. Even when new, MotorWeek finds a lot to praise about the TJ, especially in terms of handling and style. It's not all perfect, though, with a major complaint about the braking. Watch the clip to see if the show's take on the Wrangler lives up to your memories of them, too. 2040Cars.com © 2012-2025. All Rights Reserved.
