2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l "sharp!" on 2040-cars

Year:2001 Mileage:149000
Location:

Up for sale is my ***one of a kind*** 2001 Jeep Cherokee with 148k miles. This is the last year jeep made the Cherokee model rare 4.0L inline straight six engine, automatic trans and 149k miles. Truck is extremely reliable and in great condition. Originally dark blue but I gave it a new two tone two stage with clear coat blue-silver paint job. Very dependable vehicle that I took really good care of always serviced, washed and well taken care of. Previous owner was my 90 year old grandfather. New rainX wipers & Brand NEW tires with full tread spare in back. 4 wheel drive which is incredible in the snow/wet conditions. Motor and trans are very strong with clean fluids. Mechanic consistently went over the truck with a comb. Absolutely no leaks or mechanical issues. Equipped with a 4.0L 6 cylinder engine that runs like a top, jeeps most dependable motor known as one of the best motors ever built in the car industry. This engine is commonly called the "bulletproof" by Jeep enthusiasts over the past 20+ years due to the fact that it has proved itself by running 250+ miles time and time again with an indestructible transmission. I met a guy who had a 90's Cherokee with 357k original. Sad to see it go, this truck has been great to me. Set a low reserve, truck is priced to sell! Trades welcome. Highest bidder wins it or best reasonable offer. Please feel free to call/text me at 732-977-6448 or message me through eBay with any questions, concerns, more pictures or ~~~ to coordinate an immediate test drive.
Thank You and good luck bidding!

Jeep Cherokee appears in Chrysler's second Super Bowl spot

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

The second of three spots produced by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for this year's Super Bowl featured the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee. Aired during the game's half time show, the minute-long ad didn't strike as anything new or innovative from an automaker with a reputation for above average Super Bowl spots, but it did show the controversially styled Cherokee in the best light possible.
Called Restless, the commercial shows young, adventurous types doing the sorts of things that young, adventurous types do: surfing, skateboarding, cliff jumping, staring off into the sky with a pensive expression, etc. Scroll down to watch Restless for yourself and let us know in Comments if Jeep managed to hold your attention during half time.

Why Mopar won't release a factory lift kit for the new Jeep Cherokee

Thu, 24 Apr 2014

The Jeep Cherokee Dakar concept showed off at the 2014 Easter Jeep Safari made a lot of online friends, even the Cherokee naysayers assenting that there's a monster Jeep underneath the Cherokee's skin if you're willing to go in and get it. But after reading Road & Track's write-up of what went into creating the Dakar, particularly its lift, you'll understand why you'll probably never see the components for it in the Jeep Performance Parts catalog.
The concept's press release mentions a "prototype Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, and additional suspension modifications." The short-story explanation is that the front struts on the standard Cherokee weren't engineered to accept any amount of lift, so the long story begins with the phrase, "an entirely new suspension." Head over to RT to read the details, and don't be afraid to ogle the Cherokee Dakar gallery and another awesome Jeep fancy that won't likely crawl over the hurdles imposed by production reality.

Jeep Renegade gets Riptide and Frostbite customs at SEMA

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

The cute little Jeep Renegade isn't even on sale yet, but here at SEMA, the Mopar folks are giving us a taste of what's possible for the little CUV in the big wide world of customization. Part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' massive SEMA spread, the Renegade shows up in fresh Riptide and and Frostbite guises.
First up, the Riptide arrives in Vibrance Grandeur Blue with black wheels and a big ol' Jeep Performance Parts logo on the rear pillar. There are a few black accents elsewhere on the exterior, and a surfboard carrier rides up on the roof. The blue color scheme also finds its way inside the Renegade, on the instrument cluster and side panels, with contrasting white accents.
By contrast, the Frostbite Renegade reverses the Riptide's color scheme, with white being the main paint of choice, with blue accents abound. And inside, Katzkin seats wear blue upholstery. The Frostbite is a pretty functional creation, as well, with a Mopar ski/snowboard roof rack and a Jeep Performance Parts rock rail guard.
