2001JEEP CHEROKEE LIMITED
This is the last year they made the Jeep Cherokee. It is equipped with the bulletproof 4.0 engine. I have had numerous Jeep Cherokee and this one has been reliable. I am selling because I purchased another 2001Jeep Cherokee with 1/2 the miles as this one, so I have no need for 2 vehicles. The vehicle is sold as is with no warranty so please make arrangements to inspect the vehicle well in advance of the auction closing. I have sold a few cars on ebay, so I am familiar with the process. There is no reserve on the vehicle. Vehicle has a CLEAR title.
UPGRADES AND MAINTAINANCE
2.5" Lift installed. This gives the Jeep a more agressive stance but does not affect the driveability of the vehicle. it was never taken off-road, I just like the look. This is not a budget lift (no spacers) and was professionally installed around 80something thousand miles. The lift contains: Black Diamond shocks (front and rear),OME shocks (front and rear) and transfercase spacer.
-Tune up and front brakes done at local shop just prior to taking it off the road as a daily driver
-new Goodyear Wrangler 225/70 R16 front tires
-new DieHard battery
-I purchased the Jeep with the sliding sunroof. It is an aftermarket ASI (unknown model) but have no info on the install. I resealed it last year.
-I had the A/C recharged last summer and blows cold air.
This Jeep is also comes with defrosting sideview mirrors, full size spare, 4wheel drive, CD/tape radio, power windows/doors and keyless entry.
ISSUES TO BE NOTED
-Rear brakes will need to be done next service
-Rear window wiper does not spray fluid and makes an audible noise when engaged
-fog lights dont work but I never had a need for them, so I never had them fixed.
-current NYS inspection is up at the end of April 2013
Any Question?, Ask prior to bidding.
The vehicle is locally listed and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
Buyer is responsible for shipping or pick-up of vehicle.
$500.00 Deposit due within 72 hours on end of auction or vehicle will be relisted.
I reserve the right to deny bids from buyers with minimal/no history or negative feedback.

Toledo mayor, Jeep champion Michael Collins dies from heart attack
Mon, Feb 9 2015The city of Toledo is mourning the loss of its mayor and the campaign to keep production of the Jeep Wrangler in the Ohio city has lost a champion after Michael Collins suffered a heart attack behind the wheel recently. Born, raised and educated in Toledo, Collins was a Marine Corps veteran and a city councilor. He was elected mayor in 2013 and assumed office on January 2, 2014, a little over a year ago. He was driving an SUV provided by the city in a snow storm on February 1 of this year when he suffered a heart attack and crashed into a utility pole. He remained in critical condition for days until he was taken off artificial life-support. During his relatively short term in office, Collins became an outspoken and energetic advocate of keeping the Jeep plant in Toledo, where it has been assembled for decades. The next-generation Wrangler is set to switch to aluminum construction, which could lead to moving its production to another location, but Collins (alongside Governor John Kasich and others) had worked hard to convince FCA US to keep it in town. Whether his efforts will prove successful remains to be seen, but our hearts go out to his friends, family and constituents. Michael is survived by his wife Sandy, three daughters and eight grandchildren. He was 70 years old.
Auto critic calls out Corvette, Mustang and Cherokee faithful
Mon, 26 Aug 2013Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long. That's fair enough, but do you think Phelan is on point, or all wet? Head on over to the Detroit Free Press to read his words, then have your say in Comments.
Fiat 500X poised for Paris catwalk
Wed, 05 Feb 2014We've known for some time that the new, Fiat-based baby Jeep (which may or may not be called the Jeepster) is set to arrive at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. What we weren't sure of was whether its platform mate, the so-called Fiat 500X, would be doing so alongside or at a later date. Well, according to Reuters, we'll get to see the first all-wheel-drive 500 later this year in the City of Lights.
Yes, we can expect the 500X to arrive at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, according to an official with an Italian trade union. The unnamed source cited retooling at Fiat's Melfi factory, in southern Italy, which currently produces the Grande Punto. It's expected that the newest member of the growing 500 family will replace the Suzuki SX4-based Fiat Sedici, although when the X will go on sale remains an open question.
According to Reuters, both the Jeepster and 500X will be built alongside each other in Italy. Whether the 500X will cross the pond with it's slat-grilled cousin, though, remains to be seen (we're leaning towards yes).
