You are bidding on a gorgeous 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport.  It is an automatic, 4x4.  Engine has great Oil pressure, and great compression.  It has 138K miles (nothing for the legendary 4.0).  Has roof rack.
The Jeep just got
  • New Steering (tie rods, linkage, ujoint)
  • New Shocks
  • New off road tires
  • New rims
  • 3" lift
  • Muffler
  • Sway bar end links
  • Front Springs

Brakes and rotors were done within last 10K miles, Was just fully serviced ( all fluids and filters), transmission and 4 wheel drive work great.  All lights work, and car starts and drives like it should.  The paint looks great for its age, there are some light scratches here and there, and grill and first couple inches of hood have some rock chips.  Rockers were done black just to make it look better.  The rear hatch sticks a little (needs an adjustment, just never did it) it opens but it needs to be done kinda fast, just want to be honest.  And the struts that hold it up are starting to loose umph.  ( i just dont want you to come get it and be surprised, I'd rather be honest about the negatives)

This jeep is ready to give someone another 100k miles, and look great doing it. If you have any questions at all please let me know.  If you'd like to come see it or drive it, let me know.  Have clean title in hand.  If you win, you have to make a deposit via paypal.  If you send me your number right after and we talk, we don't need deposit, but transaction must be complete with in the week.  Cash in hand, I've been burned with transfers and checks...I'll meet you at your bank if you'd like = )

Good luck with this, as It will go fast!

FCA plotting larger Jeep Renegade, Fiat 500XL

Mon, Mar 23 2015

The joint development of the new Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X goes to show what the combined efforts of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group can yield. But don't expect the Italian-American automaker to stop there. According to Autocar, the company is planning to base another pair of larger SUVs on the same platform. The Jeep version would take the place of the previous Compass and Patriot, slotting in between the Renegade and Cherokee. Meanwhile, the Fiat version would further bolster the Cinquecento lineup to sit alongside the 500 hatchback, 500L minivan and 500X crossover. Details remain few and far between at the moment, but they wouldn't be the extent of the growth plans for either brand. Jeep is reportedly zeroing in on a decision on the long-rumored sub-Renegade model, while also preparing to expand up-market with the return of the Grand Wagoneer. Fiat is reportedly abandoning the prospect of offering a full model line as it once did. While the 500 range will continue to form a vital part of the brand's business, it's also tipped to be going after the no-frills, bare-bones market dominated by Renault's Dacia brand. To that end, it would seek to build upon the Panda by offering a larger, but still low-cost hatchback to rival the Ford Focus and VW Golf, and succeed the discontinued Fiat Bravo, but based on the 500L's platform and built in Turkey to keep costs down. This second pillar of the Fiat brand wouldn't likely be offered in the US, however, where we'd expect the 500 line to continue representing the Italian automaker. Related Video:

MotorWeek reviews '83 American Motors lineup

Wed, Mar 18 2015

The 30th anniversary of American Motors' 1987 sale to Chrysler by Renault is just a few years away. AMC is long dead, but for its latest peek in the archives, MotorWeek winds back the clock to somewhat happier times. Take a look at the entire AMC lineup from 1983, including its models from Jeep and Renault. The Jeeps, and to a lesser extent, the AMC Eagle, enjoy a cult following today, but it's amazing how many of these other vehicles are now practically forgotten. Even the big debut in '83 of the Renault Alliance is largely ignored. Although with a ludicrous amount of body roll and a 55-horsepower 1.4-liter engine, it's probably rightly buried. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel and SRT climb onto stage

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

This is indeed a case of not knowing how much we wanted something until it arrived. We've been big fans of the Jeep Grand Cherokee ever since the new model arrived a couple of years ago, and while the update you see here might seem just a slight refresh, it's actually much more than that.
For starters, the 2014 Grand Cherokee marks the return of a diesel model here in the States, with Chrysler's new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 under the hood, churning out 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, all of the Grand Cherokee's usual off-road goodies are on hand, with moderate tweaks to make it an even more capable vehicle when the going gets rough. Both the gasoline-fed 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter V8 get the new eight-speed auto, as well.
The high-performance Grand Cherokee SRT also trudges on into the new model year, with very subtle tweaks found underneath the aggressive, slightly redesigned sheetmetal. The 6.4-liter Hemi V8 also gets eight-speed gearing, which Chrysler says will improve not only 0-60 times, but mid-range performance as well. Bring it on, we say.
