Thanks for viewing my 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ Sport. I had this Jeep Cherokee XJ professionally built by Davis Autosports. When I was in the process of finding someone to build a Jeep Cherokee XJ for me I only wanted the best. Davis Autosports specializes in building the Jeep Cherokee XJ's and did an absolutely amazing job building this one. Unfortunately, about a month after taking delivery of this stunning Cherokee XJ, my employment forced me to move across the country and I couldn't take it with me. In the month I was able to drive it, I put about 1,500 miles on it and enjoyed every single one of them. I never had the chance to take it offroad. Davis Autosports agreed to sell it on consignment for me since they know the Jeep inside and out. After being on the market for a few months (which is why some of you may recognize it), I have decided to list it with no reserve. Jonathan, the owner of Davis Autosports, advised against listing it with no reserve since this is probably one of the nicest Jeep Cherokee XJ's out there, hence why I am listing it. I have known Jonathan for quite some time and he has never led me in the wrong direction, but after countless inquires, interest and failed payments, I feel like it is time to let it go and let someone else enjoy this amazing Jeep.
The Jeep is still located at Davis Autosports where they have been keeping it safely stored for me. All payments will be processed through Davis Autosports. They also have the ability to change anything on the Jeep if you so desire to and can ship the Jeep anywhere in the country. Davis Autosports also stands behind their work so you can rest assure you will be in good hands. I have had nothing but outstanding customer service from them. When I was building this Cherokee XJ, I wanted nothing but the best. There is over $20k invested in this Jeep. This Jeep is not only fully built, but I wanted to make sure it would be mechanically sound for the next 100k miles. It still disappoints me that I will not be able to enjoy those miles in it. Now for good stuff. Here is the list of everything that has been done. Stage 5 Package from Davis Autosports

As you can see there has been a lot of work done. If you have any questions about the Jeep please don't hesitate to contact Jonathan or I. Jonathan's contact information can be found on his website. Davisautosports.com . You can send me a message and I will gladly provide you with my cell phone number so I can answer any questions or concerns you may have. |

Why Mopar won't release a factory lift kit for the new Jeep Cherokee
Thu, 24 Apr 2014The Jeep Cherokee Dakar concept showed off at the 2014 Easter Jeep Safari made a lot of online friends, even the Cherokee naysayers assenting that there's a monster Jeep underneath the Cherokee's skin if you're willing to go in and get it. But after reading Road & Track's write-up of what went into creating the Dakar, particularly its lift, you'll understand why you'll probably never see the components for it in the Jeep Performance Parts catalog.
The concept's press release mentions a "prototype Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, and additional suspension modifications." The short-story explanation is that the front struts on the standard Cherokee weren't engineered to accept any amount of lift, so the long story begins with the phrase, "an entirely new suspension." Head over to RT to read the details, and don't be afraid to ogle the Cherokee Dakar gallery and another awesome Jeep fancy that won't likely crawl over the hurdles imposed by production reality.
Another crazy custom Jeep Wrangler spotted in Morocco
Sun, 03 Mar 2013What in the world is the vehicle you see above? Well, um... yeah. We have no idea. According to the video description from YouTube, however, it's a modified Jeep Wrangler, and it comes from the same person who created the equally insane side-by-side merged Wrangler you saw here.
We can clearly make out the Wrangler-shaped passenger compartment up top, but as for the other bits and pieces that make up this rather amazing machine, your guess is as good as ours. At the very least, it seems to us that the car's wheelbase has been given a significant stretch, and the grille may have come from an International LoneStar Harley-Davidson Special Edition semi truck.
What other components are sourced from the massive International hauler? No idea. We suggest you check out the video below and draw your own conclusions. Oh, and if you've got any other ideas, feel free to let us know in the Comments.
2014 Jeep Cherokee: Long-term wrap-up [w/video]
Tue, Aug 11 2015Sorry, Sweet Brown. Your place in Autoblog history as the most highly demanded long-term car has come to an end. We just finished a one-year test of a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, and after 27,000 miles of hard use, one thing is very clear: this is one of the best all-rounders we've ever tested. The Jeep Cherokee isn't perfect, and our long-term tester proved that. But no compact crossover is. Still, the Trailhawk oozed personality where other small CUVs seem bland, and the Jeep felt more like a trusty companion than just another test car. For road trips, the requests weren't, "Can I have a long-term car this weekend?" They were specific: "I'd like the Cherokee, please." No matter the season, the driver, or the situation, the Jeep was always a sure fit. Fiat Chrysler bet big with this one. It had a global platform, a new engine, and one heck of a funny face. The end result was a CUV that we'd gladly welcome back into our fleet any day. View 51 Photos Our car carried a sticker price of $38,059, but that's without goodies like HID headlamps, a sunroof, or even full leather seats. Lots To Like Admittedly, we picked the Trailhawk trim for cosmetic reasons (more on it's off-road capability in a second). To this day, many of us still think the Cherokee is a homely little thing, but its inherent weirdness doesn't stand out as much when you add the black accents and big, knobby tires of the Trailhawk model. The butched-up look really works here, and we wouldn't have wanted the Jeep any other way. Of course, opting for Trailhawk package meant getting one of Jeep's more expensive Cherokees. Our car carried a sticker price of $38,059, but that's without goodies like HID headlamps (which we could have used – the halogens were pretty weak), a sunroof, or even full leather seats. This car genuinely felt premium, though. Right off the bat, the Cherokee received compliments for its comfortable, supportive seats, not to mention the high quality of interior materials and the general fit and finish. Specifically, the interior packaging won us over early on. We appreciated things like the higher-end stereo, smart layout of the center console, and ample storage, including a bin under the front passenger seat cushion. (That said, we also found that this bin becomes a catch-all for wrappers, french fries, and anything else that might get dropped on the seat.) The Uconnect infotainment system was a joy to use, never giving us any finicky problems or usability issues.
