Up for sale is an extremely low mileage, very hard to find, and great looking 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4.   2000 was the second to last year this legendary vehicle was ever made, and with 47K they rarely come up for sale.  It has both Clean Autocheck and Carfax vehicle history reports.  It runs, drives, and looks absolutely great.  It has spent it's whole life in Pennsylania and then Maryland.  This truck has NEVER been in New York.  Prior to me purchasing the truck, at 45,000 miles the brake fluid was flushed, rear brake shoes and drums were replaced, spark plugs changed, and 30" BF GoodRich All Terrain TA tires were installed.  When were purchased the truck we installed new front brake pads and rotors, as well as a brand new 3.25" Rough Country Suspension Lift, including new rear leaf springs, new sway bar links, new lift springs, and new N2.0 shocks.

The exterior is in nearly immaculate condition.  The original "Forest Green Pearl" paint shines like new.  There is absolutely no body rust on the truck.  The entire body, door bottoms, rocker panels, etc. are mint.  The undercarriage is very clean as well as you can see from the pictures.  There are no leaks.  Even the steel wheels are great.  There might be one or two miniscule dings/scratches but absolutely nothing out of the ordinary for a 47,000 mile truck.  The rear bumper has some slight scratches that you can see in the pictures from moving things in and out of the cargo area.  The paint on the roof is bubbling in some very small spots which is extremely common on any XJ Jeep Cherokee.  It's not noticeable in pictures, and not noticeable unless you actually get up close on the roof itself.

The interior is in beautiful shape as well.  The floors, seats, dashboard, glass, and headliner are all clean.  There aren't any smells, burns or marks inside.  All of the electronics are functioning properly.

This Cherokee has some nice features and options!

- 4.0L 6-Cylinder Engine

- Automatic Transmission

- NP 231 "Command-Trac" 4-Wheel-Drive

- Power Windows, Locks, and Mirrors

- Ice Cold Air Conditioning

- Tilt Steering

- Rear Wiper/Washer/Defrost

- CD Player

- Dual Airbags

- Keyless Entry

- ABS Brakes

This Cherokee runs and drives excellent.  Everything works as it should.  The 4.0L 6-Cylinder engine starts instantly with no smoke and runs great.  The transmission shifts perfect as well.  The truck goes straight down the road with no shakes, rattles, or pulls.  The brakes stop great with no pulsations as well (All 4 Pads/Rotors/Shoes/Drums are brand new!)

I have 2 Keys, 1 Remote, clean CarFax report, the unused spare tire, jack, tools, and a clean/clear title.

Mazda2 nets Japan Car of the Year, Cherokee first US model to ever crack top 10

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

The 2015 Mazda2 is quite high up on our must-drive list. Yes, the teeny, tiny successor to the 100-horsepower five-door is worth getting excited over, largely because the previous generation was one of the absolute best smiles-per-dollar values on the market.
While we eagerly await for our opportunity to take to the 2's helm, our expectations of the new car have just been heightened thanks to its win in Japan's Car of the Year competition. Called "Demio" in the land of the rising sun, Japanese journalists handed out Mazda's second COTY award since the CX-5 took the title in 2012.
In more surprising news, the new Jeep Cherokee has made the list of 10 Best Cars in Japan. The Jeep's triumph marks the first time an American car has cracked the top ten, finishing eighth. It's not, however, the first Fiat Chrysler vehicle to snag the title, following in the footsteps of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Fiat Panda. Still, the fact that an American brand can make such impressive inroads into the traditionally tough-to-crack Japanese market is a seriously big deal.

Hands on with the concepts of the Moab Easter Jeep Safari

Fri, Mar 20 2015

Jeep has a way of tugging at the heartstrings of its enthusiastic owner base when the annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari rolls around. The 2015 version sees all boxes ticked in the off-road event's 49th year: multiple diesel engines on display, a pickup-truck-like model and more than a few nods to the brand's long and storied history book. We were able to get a first-hand look at the seven concepts being shown in Utah's Red Desert in the much cooler, cleaner confines of the FCA Technical Center's Design Dome. Jeep Chief Concept We aren't sure if it's that throwback chrome grille or the eye-catching Ocean Blue paint, but even more than the Red Rock Responder, the Chief drew our eye as soon as we walked into the Design Dome. It's a surprisingly tall vehicle, but it's also very wide. We'd also wager it's longer than your typical four-door Wrangler. Jeep may have used a Wrangler as a base for the Chief, but any similarities to the donor vehicle are extremely difficult to spot. The fenders and doors are probably the biggest giveaways, but you're going to need to squint (and have the benefit of a Wrangler to compare with, like we did) to pick out Wrangler bits. As is the recurring theme throughout all seven concepts, the Jeep design team's attention to detail is borderline fanatical. From the "Surf Rated" badge on the fenders, to the tweaked door handles to the bumper stickers in the cargo area and the Tiki-statue-shaped shifter, the little details are truly the stars of the Chief Concept. The rosewood trim in the rear cargo area is stunning and adds to the Beach-Boy-friendly stylings of the Chief. The throwback grille, round headlights and tall, skinny taillights, meanwhile, add a lot of personality to the exterior. The high beltline and lower roof gives the Chief a chop-topped look, but it's arguably the least successful element to the blue concept's otherwise impressive design. All of the vehicles Jeep put together for Moab are 100-percent functional. That's not surprising with some of the vehicles you'll see below, but it somehow is remarkably impressive given the degree of the changes Jeep made in putting together the Chief. Jeep Wrangler Red Rock Responder The Wrangler-based Red Rock Responder is arguably one of the most capable of these real-world vehicles, both in terms of the way it looks and its actual hardware. We mentioned the special rescue equipment fitted to the bright-red, truck-like Jeep – a compressor and air gun, sockets, tow straps, etc.

Build a Jeep Gladiator 392 next? The Hummer H3T Alpha blazed the trail

Tue, Nov 17 2020

The 2021 Wrangler Rubicon 392 will combine the go-anywhere capability of a Jeep's iconic off-roader with the grunt of a V8 for the first time in decades. As cool as that is, we can't help but think Jeep is missing out on a huge opportunity to pair that 470-horsepower, 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with the Wrangler's pickup cousin, the Jeep Gladiator, in the form of a Mojave 392.  Autoblog took part in a media Q&A session with Jeep ahead of the Rubicon 392's announcement in which the company's product higher-ups said that there are currently no official plans to build a 392 variant of the Gladiator pickup. But whether or not Jeep has plans, it certainly has precedent, and from our perspective, a market.  Rewind to 2008, better known as one of the worst possible years to introduce a gas-guzzling, V8-powered pickup truck. Enter the 2009 Hummer H3T Alpha, the first variant of Hummer's midsize truck/SUV hybrid to be offered with a 5.3-liter V8. The 300-horsepower small-block was an upgrade to the sturdy but relatively uninspiring 3.7-liter inline-5 that the H3 lineup had inherited from its midsize pickup platform mates.  As our Jeremy Korzeniewski noted in the Rubicon 392's introductory piece, an open-top Jeep has not been offered with an optional V8 for as long as the "Wrangler" nameplate has existed. The last Jeep 4x4 to do so was still a CJ, or civilian Jeep, and the 304 cubic-inch engine came from American Motors Corporation. Incidentally, this generation of the Wrangler is also the first to be offered in a pickup variant. Cue the beard-stroking.  Now, frankly, it's not even remotely fair to compare the H3T's powertrain offerings to the decade-newer Gladiator's, but the Hummer actually boasts a few advantages over Jeep's modern pickup. While most of the Jeep's off-road specs give it an edge, the Gladiator doesn't come close to the H3T's 30.1-degree departure angle, for instance. And in more practical terms, the stubbier H3T has other maneuverability advantages. The Gladiator has 3" of wheelbase and 5" of overall length on the H3T, and a 22.4-foot turning radius to show for it. The Hummer's? Just 18.5'.
