2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l Nr!!!!! on 2040-cars
Mobile, Alabama, United States
This is a great Jeep Cherokee Sport 4-Door 4WD SUV with Low Miles for the Year! I bought this Jeep in May of 2012 (close estimate, could be off a month or so) as a daily driver but the last six months it has been a second vehicle. I had plans on fixing it up as an off-road vehicle but I have to sale because I need money foe school. The Jeep runs and drives great and I still drive it a couple of times a week. Mechanically the Jeep is very sound but it does have some flaws, mostly cosmetic stuff. I bought the jeep with 129k and it now has 141k but mileage could change because it still gets driven. The Jeep is being sold AS-IS with NO WARRANTY and is also being offered for sale locally so could end auction at anytime. I will try to list everything and give as many pictures as I can but feel free to ask questions before you bid. A $250.00 Deposit will be required via PayPal at auction end and the rest in no more than 7 working days in cash or certified bank cashiers check. I will assist in shipping and may deliver in a reasonable distance form Mobile, AL at buyers expense. PROS: Great Daily Driver, Engine, Transmission, Transfer Case, Axles, Brakes, and Lights Work as they should. Cold A/C and Hot Heat Low Mileage for the Year CONS: Not the best gas Mileage 14/15 in the City and 17ish on the Highway Headliner Sagging and few tears in carpet in cargo area. 2 small chips in windshield Paint chips and clear coat peeling, black exterior trim fade. Upper ball joint wobble every now and then ( have new ones that will come with jeep but never had replaced) Passenger Rear Window not working. Surface Rust on Drive Shaft and Exhaust. Small Amount of Rust on Bottom inside Lip of Liftgate and Small Rust spot on driver quarter by glass. Good Tires but Mismatched Got Kumho A/T's on the front and Uniroyal A/T's on Rear Things I have done to the Jeep since I have owned it. 139k Oil change, PVC valve and Air Filter. Work at a Chrysler dealership, get free college education
Mon, May 4 2015The cost of a college education in the US can put a student tens (hundreds, in some cases) of thousands of dollars into debt. FCA US wants to give its dealership employees a leg up, though, and the automaker is now offering a completely free education to them through a partnership with Strayer University. The workers can take any of the college's classes online or on campus through program called Degrees@Work. Currently, the offer is only available to employees Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat dealers in the automaker's Southeast region, which includes Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee. However, a national expansion will happen before the end of the year, Strayer spokesperson Cristina Henley tells Autoblog. The program will cover all of the students' expenses, including their books, according to Henley. FCA US sees this partnership as a way to improve the talent of its workforce, retain employees longer and possibly attract people wanting to take advantage of this free education. "Many of our dealers have expressed concern over the availability of talent to fill open positions due to business growth and turnover in their stores, especially in metro markets," Al Gardner, the company's Head of Dealer Network Development, said in the Degrees@Work announcement. Strayer has about 40 programs available, including in business administration, accounting, marketing, and more, and the university offers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees. It will also give FCA US employees credit for their work experience to get them a diploma even more quickly. FCA US Dealers to Offer Employees No-Cost, No-Debt College Education FCA US teams with Strayer University to develop first-of-its-kind dealer program Degrees@Work program open to all employees of participating dealerships Employees can earn no-cost, no-debt degree through Strayer University All Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram and FIAT dealerships may participate First phase of program rollout begins with dealers in the FCA US Southeast Business Center National rollout expected later this year May 4, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Employees of Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram and FIAT dealerships will have the unique opportunity to earn a no-cost, no-debt college degree through Strayer University's Degrees@Work program, developed in collaboration with FCA US LLC. FCA US is the only company in the automotive industry to offer the program.
Fiat Chrysler CEO says final merger talks with Peugeot going well
Thu, Jan 23 2020BRUSSELS — Fiat Chrysler's chief executive Michael Manley said on Wednesday that merger talks with Peugeot owner PSA to create the world's No. 4 carmaker are progressing well and he hopes to have a deal within 12-14 months. Speaking to Reuters on the sidelines of an industry meeting, he said he doesn't expect any major obstacles that could delay a final agreement. "Talks are progressing really well," Manley said about negotiations with the French carmaker ahead of a briefing by the European automotive association (ACEA), of which he is president. His comments come a month after the two carmakers agreed to a binding deal worth about $50 billion to combine forces in response to a slowdown in global demand and mounting costs of making cleaner vehicles amid tighter emissions regulations. Manley's timeline for completing the deal by early 2021 is in line with a forecast made by the companies in December. Fiat and Peugeot are now getting into the details of how the merger will work, including choosing which vehicle platforms — the technological underpinnings of a vehicle — will fit which products in a combined company. Because customers in different locations still prefer vastly different cars, there is room for multiple platforms in a combined group, Manley said. "That global platform is an elusive beast," he added. "This concept of a massive global platform in my mind is almost a myth, but that doesnÂ’t mean to say weÂ’re not going to recruit significant volume." Related Video:  Â
FCA reportedly joins the crowd skipping this year's Paris Motor Show
Thu, Jun 14 2018It's likely FCA vehicles will not be seen at the Paris Motor Show this year. Automotive News is reporting that Fiats, Alfa Romeos, Jeeps and Abarths will not be a part at the show, based on information circulating in the French media. There's a possibility that Maseratis will be displayed at a special section dedicated to upscale cars, but Maserati too will not have a show stand of its own. Ferrari will have a stand, but as it happens, the supercar maker has been a standalone brand since 2015. Skipping the Paris show follows FCA's decision not to take part in the Frankfurt show last year, and the two shows alternate as the biggest autumnal automotive show in Europe. Volkswagen will also not attend the event, and neither will Ford, Nissan or Infiniti. This has become a problem for car shows worldwide, including Detroit's North American International Auto Show. FCA has not released a formal statement about the matter, but a FCA spokesman, quoted by the French magazine L'Argus, reportedly said that the sales and publicity brought in by the show stand would not justify the costs of attending. The news mirrors Volvo's newly announced plan to not take part at the next Geneva Motor Show, but to arrange "bespoke activities" to introduce its cars instead. Related Video:
