Bought new. Two owners, a woman that never drove it and me (her son, and I'm 35 and a family man. It wasn't beaten on and it shows). Truck Overheated and shut down a month ago and went into the shop. Mechanic recommends a "top end rebuild". Offered me a "great price" for it ($500). I'm not a mechanical guy, but no. Bought the wife a new car instead and took her old one. Now I have this to sell. It even still starts and runs perfectly, but I'm sure it needs someone that knows what they're doing and I don't. Its clean inside and out, in my garage, and starts and runs like a Swiss watch (even though I see no reason to do it other than to prove it works). The 4.0s from what I understand are tough and I LOVE how much torque and muscle it has, I just have two daughters under 3 years old and can't afford a project. Some superficial bumper damage to the front visible in photos. No frame involvement. Come take a look or call and talk it over with me (e-mail for phone # please). Its a GREAT truck, has an otherwise totally clean history, and I have all the records. Note the tires are new and that was about as far "off road" as I got with it. It never got stuck in the snow here I can tell you that. Just in parts alone with glass and interior and rims/tires and frame parts its not a junk truck. On top of that it still runs and drives like new (I had it towed home from the shop and don't drive it, because I don't want to do anything further to it). Don't be like that mechanic and insult me with a "steal". I'll let it go for a fair price, but if you're looking to lowball me and fix and flip an easy job and make a lump on it move on. I'm in no hurry, so it isn't time sensitive. Basically the first person to offer me a fair deal gets it. But please, don't hesitate to call or come out first and make sure its to your liking. I'll stand behind it 100%. Message me with any questions/comments/concerns, and thanks.

2014 Jeep Cherokee
Thu, 19 Sep 2013The Cherokee Is Dead. Long Live The Cherokee.
There are three sentences that, for this reviewer, define what needs to be conveyed about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The first: it is very good.
Jeep spent 27 years building the Cherokee and its brand, from 1974 to 2001. Twelve years ago, the Cherokee nameplate rolled away into the distant hills and retirement, at least here in the NAFTA colonies, and it was replaced by a loaded word we knew as "Liberty."
Petrolicious profiles an heirloom Willys Jeep CJ-3B
Tue, Mar 8 2016Things tend to move pretty quickly in the automotive industry, but some icons that endure. Most of them are off-roaders – the Land Rover Defender, Mercedes G-Wagen, and of course the Jeep Wrangler. The latter traces its roots, of course, to the CJ-model Willys Jeep, built for civilian use in the wake of World War Two where it cut its teeth on the shores of Normandy and kicking off a legend that still endures over half a century later. For its latest video, Petrolicious profiles one such off-roader, and the man who owns it. That man is Larry Shank from California, and his ride is a 1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3B hooked up to a 1947 Ken-Skill Kustom Kamper Model 10. Both belonged to his father before him, and they would take family vacations in the wheeled pair from when he was young. His dad taught him to drive and maintain it, and they bonded over the shared experience. Shank still enjoys driving down the dirt roads and off the beaten paths of the American Southwest, and to hear him speak of it, he wouldn't trade in his Jeep for anything in the world. Watch his story unfold in the eight-minute video clip above to see what an enduring icon looks like. Jeep driver nearly gets washed away by fast moving river
Wed, May 11 2016Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should. For example, you should never attempt to cross a fast-moving river in a bone stock Grand Cherokee no matter how shallow the river looks. Especially if you don't know what you're doing. A video posted recently to the Facebook group Jeep EXPERIENCE, shows an inexperienced jeep driver learning that lesson the hard way. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. The video starts innocently enough, with a group of off-roaders watching one of their friends attempt to ford a shallow looking river. Things quickly go sideways however, when the driver of the silver Grand Cherokee just plunges right in and quickly gets in over his head. The river is moving faster than the driver thinks it is, the driver panics, makes some bad decisions, then the jeep is turned over and swept downstream. Eventually, the jeep is hauled out by a Land Rover after a long comedy of errors that involves one guy losing his trousers to the current and the Cherokee ingesting untold gallons of water. What went wrong here? Well, It's pretty obvious from the video that the Cherokee driver didn't have a clear idea of where he was going or about the condition of the riverbed. He chickened out halfway across the river, and in what appears to be a misguided attempt at turning back, he reverses, digs himself deeper in the riverbed, then turned broadside on into the current. When he changes his mind again and decides to just gun it for the opposite shore, he drives directly into a deep water hazard that would have been obvious to an experienced off-roader. At that point the jeep and the driver were doomed. Hopefully the driver learned a lesson here, and hopefully he didn't pollute that river too much with the jeep's fluids.
