You are bidding on (1) 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 SUV located in Mississippi, please review the following information word for word and visit the photo/video links toward the bottom of the listing, it has over 150 photos and 2 videos of the SUV.

Specifications:

1999 Jeep Cherokee SUV MPV, 4x4, 5-Door Wagon, Inline 6-Cylinder 4.0 Liter High Output Gas Engine, Automatic Transmission w/Overdrive, Cruise Control, Air Conditioning/Heat, Power Windows/Locks/Mirrors, AM/FM Stereo, Cloth Seats, Carpet Floor, Receiver Hitch w/Trailer Light Connection, Original Owner’s Manual, GVWR – 4,900#, Front GAWR – 2,500#, Rear GAWR – 2,700#, P235/75R15 Tires, SN: 1J4FF28S2XL617977, 107,402 Actual Miles.

This SUV was owned by a government agency (city) until about a year ago and used by the police department, we purchased it from them, tagged and titled it and have been using it as an extra vehicle since then!  Since then we have put about 5k miles on it and at this point simply not using it so turning it into cash.  Since day #1 the SUV has been on a strict maintenance schedule, has just a little over 100k miles but still has plenty of life left in it!  It cranks right up, engine is strong, transmission is strong, brakes are good, air conditioning is cold, heat is hot and the tires can be seen in the photos.  The negative things to bring out are first of all the tires are a little weak, it has a very small dent in the driver’s door, the horn does not work and the air bag light is on, we have been told that is means the clock spring in the steering wheel needs to be replaced, the air bag light is not on because it was wrecked or anything like that, the roof has a few spots where the city removed the antenna’s and put rubber pieces in the holes, the dash and console have screw holes and spots where the city had police radio equipment, the front bumper has a push guard on front of it, all of these things can clearly be seen in the photos and have absolutely no effect on use and function of the SUV.  It was not wrecked and repaired or pieced back together, it was not flooded and has not been underwater, simply replaced with a new one because of age, not sold because of problems!  Please remember this is a used, not perfect 15 year old SUV with just a little over 100k miles, runs and drives great, has plenty, plenty of power and life left in it, is without a doubt roadworthy, you would have to do very few small things to make it perfect, no repairs needed to drive it home and use on a daily basis!

The photos were taken the day before the listing on February 27, 2014, and show the SUV in its current condition, visit the link below for over 150 photos and 2 videos of the Jeep~

Jeep Renegade signed by the Rolling Stones brings in $46k for charity

Thu, Jan 1 2015

What do Jeep and the Rolling Stones have in common? Well, they've both have been around for longer than most of us, they seem just about indestructible, and not long after one shipped out from America to help save Britain, the other lead the British Invasion of America. But the two enduring icons also came together this past summer as one sponsored the other's European tour. And while they were in Rome, Jeep had the members of the legendary rock group sign a new Renegade that just went up for auction. Bearing the signatures of the immortal Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts, this star-studded, pint-sized off-roader – the first Jeep to be built in Italy – sold for an impressive $46,000 to an anonymous bidder. That's about two-and-a-half times what the new pebble-crawler is expected to sell for when it reaches showrooms. Proceeds from the sale, handled by Charitybuzz.com, will benefit Community Links, a social-inclusion organization based in London. View 56 Photos

Chrysler axes old V6s, goes all-Pentastar

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

Old technology has a way of lingering on, particularly at Chrysler headquarters in Auburn Hills. So while the Pentastar V6 has replaced the older engine architecture in just about every application, it still soldiered on in some export markets. But the introduction of a new 3.0-liter Pentastar V6, produced in Michigan and meant only for the Chinese market, has put the final nail in the old engine's coffin.
Fitted into the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler just introduced to China at the Chengdu Motor Show, the downsized six uses the same architecture as the larger 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. But because of its 2,997cc capacity, it can be exported to China without the increased duty the 3.6-liter or even 3.2-liter Pentastar engines would incur. The 3.0-liter V6 develops 230 horsepower at 6,350 rpm and 210 pound-feet at 4,400 rpm.
Admittedly, it's unlikely, but even though the engine was said to be created solely to undercut tax thresholds in China and Europe, the 3.0-liter Pentastar has recently surfaced in rumors of an application here: as the boosted heart of a potential Cherokee SRT with anywhere from 375 to 410 hp.

Vile Gossip: Ladies who launch

Fri, Feb 16 2018

Jean Jennings has been writing about cars for more than 30 years, after stints as a taxicab driver and as a mechanic in the Chrysler Proving Grounds Impact Lab. She was a staff writer at Car and Driver magazine, the first executive editor and former president and editor-in-chief of Automobile Magazine, the founder of the blog Jean Knows Cars and former automotive correspondent for Good Morning America. She has lifetime awards from both the Motor Press Guild and the New England Motor Press Association. Look for more Vile Gossip columns in the future. The year was 2006. We were driving a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 across the Florida Panhandle from Jacksonville to Panama City, only because I couldn't convince Bugatti to let me be the first to drive its exotic powerhouse, the world's fastest car at that time, all the way across America. One gleaming example had arrived in time for the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance, where the journos massed for their quick test drives out the front drive of the Ritz Carlton, down a short stretch of the A1A, and back to the Ritz. Not far enough for me. I wanted to take the Veyron in all of its 16-cylinder, 1,001-horsepower, $1.3-million-dollar glory on a coast-to-coast extravaganza of a road trip. Never hurts to ask. I asked. Once the Bugatti guys stopped hyperventilating, I explained that the coastal adventure would be contained wholly within the state of Florida, from the Atlantic coast to the Gulf of Mexico. My secret destination, however, was to be Vernon, Florida, home of the great Errol Morris' classic documentary about a town in the Panhandle with the highest per-capita population of citizens who'd blown off or whacked off a limb for insurance money. (Google "Nub City.") The Swiss head of Bugatti public relations thought it hilarious. He showed up in a van with a couple of German mechanics to follow us and a failed French Formula 1 driver to serve as my chaperone. I came with a photographer from Germany and one of the most infamous of bad-boy auto magazine tech editors, the irrepressible Don Sherman. Sherman had his own reason for going, and it had nothing to do with a Veyron to Vernon. Once we gave up looking for nubbies, he ordered me to veer south to the handgrip of the Panhandle, familiarly known as the Redneck Riviera. The Don was aiming to secretly execute the Veyron's first Launch Control blastoff in captivity.
