1999 Jeep Cherokee Se Sport 4 Door Factory Right Hand Drive Mail Delivery Jeep on 2040-cars
Poplarville, Mississippi, United States
I'M SELLING MY MAIL JEEP BECAUSE I HURT MY BACK AND HAD TO RETIRE.
THE JEEP IS VERY DEPENDABLE AND I WOULDN'T BE SCARED TO DRIVE IT ANYWHERE. I WAS GETTING ABOUT 25 MILES PER GALLON ON MY MAIL ROUTE. BUT WE HAD TO DO SOME UPGRADES TO GET THE FUEL MILEAGE UP TO THAT. THE JEEP HAS NEVER BEEN SMOKED IN. THE SEATS HAVE NO STAINS. THE DASH HAS NO CRACKS. THE WIND SHIELD HAS NO CRACKS. THE CARPET IS GOOD BUT THE DRIVER SIDE IS WORE BUT I PUT A RUBBER FLOOR MAT IN TO SAVE THE CARPET. (SEE PICTURES) THE HISTORY ON THE JEEP: 1ST OWNER MAN IN NEW ORLEANS BOUGHT THE JEEP NEW. HE PAID $22,500 (I HAVE THE RECEIPT) HE USED IT FOR 10 YEARS. 2ND OWNER SHE ONLY USED IT 3 MONTHS ON A RURAL ROUTE IN SLIDELL, LA AND THEN SHE GOT A LLV ROUTE. 3RD OWNER I'M THE 3RD OWNER. I'VE HAD THE JEEP FOR 3 YEARS AND IT'S BEEN GOOD TO ME.
THIS IS WHAT I KNOW IS WRONG WITH IT.

Federal investigations about safety of rear-mounted gas tanks is nothing new
Sun, 09 Jun 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Chrysler are currently making waves in our daily news feeds due to a disagreement over the safety of a few million Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee models. Specifically, NHTSA has asked Chrysler to recall the SUVs because of the location of their fuel tanks, but you may be interested to know that requests such as this are nothing new.
Besides the two Jeep models, NHTSA has launched investigations over the years in such models as the Ford Crown Victoria (and its police-car counterpart), GM pickups built between 1972 and 1987, and rather famously the Ford Pinto.
Understanding how automakers and NHTSA have dealt with fuel-tank-safety concerns in the past may offer a better understanding of how Chrysler and the government agency will settle their current dispute. Check out the complete article from The Detroit News here.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Jeep appears to have nailed it this time. After two decades of assembling its Grand Cherokee sport utility vehicle, the American automaker has finally delivered a world-class off-roader capable of taking on everything in its segment - and more - with a high likelihood of coming out on top.
And if you drove last year's model, it's time to climb behind the wheel again as Jeep has significantly updated the SUV for 2014 with a bold new exterior appearance, an upgraded interior with enhanced electronics and a new transmission that completely transforms the way it drives.
We recently spent a full week with a dark blue 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4, a well-optioned model fitted with the standard gasoline-fed V6. While it didn't have the punch of the range-topping V8-powered SRT8, or the fuel-sipping economy of its new EcoDiesel sibling, the high-volume variant left us quite impressed.
Jeep Wrangler likely to get aluminum body, will stay in Toledo
Mon, 27 Oct 2014Perhaps more than any other vehicle currently for sale in the United States, the Jeep Wrangler is viewed by purist fans as a vehicle that simply must maintain the status quo. In this case, that means a body-on-frame design, solid axles, a relatively large engine sitting up front and a removable top. It's always been that way, and it always will be.
Maybe.
According to the most recent reports, the next-generation Jeep will continue to soldier forth with a full steel chassis underneath its stamped bodywork. The biggest change, reports Automotive News, will be that said panels will be hewn from aluminum instead of steel, a seismic shift of a transition not unlike what's happened with the new Ford F-150. Because it won't be a unibody, the SUV will likely continue to be assembled in Toledo, OH as it (almost) always has been - the latter has been a source of heartburn in recent weeks for the Northwestern city in the Buckeye State.
