1995 JEEP CHEROKEE SE

4.0 LITRE HIGH OUTPUT

FEATURES BEJEWELED GREEN EXTERIOR W/ BLACK TRIM. THE INTERIOR IS GRAY.

THIS JEEP HAS BEEN IN MY POSESSION SINCE 2006. IT WAS LOANED TO A FAMILY MEMBER & JUST RECENTLY I OBTAINED IT BACK AND I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME OR THE MECHANICAL SENSE TO GET THIS JEEP WHAT IT NEEDS, WHICH IN MY OPINION IS VERY MINOR.

IT DOES RUN VERY WELL, BUT SINCE I OBTAINED IT BACK, IT DOES HAVE AN OVERHEATING ISSUE. I AM NOT SURE THE ISSUE, BUT I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT MAY BE MINOR.

THE BODY IS IN DECENT CONDITION, PLEASE CHECK ALL THE PICS.

THE INTERIOR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION CONSIDERING THE AGE.

THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW, WHEN ROLLING IT UP, THE HANDLE DOES HAVE A GRINDING NOISE & IT SLIPS. IT MAY NEED THE INTERIOR GEAR OR..... REPLACED.

THE REAR WINDSHIELD LIQUID DISPENSER DOES WORK, BUT THE SPOUT THAT THE HOSE HOOKS INTO HAS FALLEN OFF & NEEDS REPLACED WHICH IS A MINOR THING.

THE COVER AROUND THE STEARING WHEEL IS A LITTLE LOOSE & THERE IS A CHIP IN THE PLASTIC & JUST NEEDS TIGHTENING.

THE ORIGINAL JACK IS COMPLETE & STORED UNDER THE BACK SEAT, WHICH LIFTS UP & THE BACK ALSO LAYS DOWN.

THE SPARE TIRE BRACKET THAT HOLDS THE TIRE IS STILL COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL BLACK LEATHER COVER. THE SPARE TIRE THAT IS CURRENTLY IN THE JEEP, I AM UNSURE IF IT IS ANY GOOD.

ATTACHED TO THE REAR HATCH INSIDE, ON THE CEILING IS A SONY XPLOD SPEAKER SET UP THAT WAS THERE WHEN PURCHASED & DOES WORK, ALONG WITH ALL THE DOOR SPEAKERS.

STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL CARGO RACKS THAT CAN BE LOOSENED & MOVED & TIGHTENED.

THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE WORKS AS WELL.

ALSO HAS A CASSETTE PLAYER & WORKING AIR.

IT DOES HAVE CRUISE CONTROL BUT IT NEVER WORKED SINCE I BOUGHT IT, MAY NEED FIXED?

EVERYTHING APPEARS ORIGINAL & ALSO THIS JEEP HAS A VERY CLEAN TITLE & IS READY TO BE YOURS.

THESE OLD JEEPS ARE VERY POPULAR & W/ A LITTLE LOVE & TIME THEY CAN BE ONE OF THE BEST PIECES OF MACHINERY ON & OFF THE ROAD...

ANY ?'S PLEASE ASK & I WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER, AGAIN I DO NOT HAVE MUCH MECHANICAL SENSE...

BUYER WILL HAVE TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR LOCAL PICKUP & PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WAY TO POSSIBLY TOW THIS JEEP HOME DUE TO THE OVERHEATING ISSUE....

Jeep brings quartet of concepts to Beijing to show its Chinese style

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

Jeep is making a big play for the Chinese crossover market at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. It has a quartet styling concepts for the Renegade, Cherokee and Wrangler that are inspired by Chinese culture at the show.
Among them is the newest member of the Jeep lineup - the Renegade. Its Zi You Xia concept (pictured above) comes from the Mandarin for "rebel," and it's painted in Warm Chocolate Gray with Dark Anodized Bronze trim, including the 20-inch wheels. The roof, grille surround, and mirror caps are done in a complimentary Dark Charcoal color as an accent. The interior is a mix of dark brown leather and Anodized Copper trim. This is one swanky compact crossover.
The Cherokee Sageland and Urbane concepts are meant to show to different sides of Chinese style. With inspiration from the Shangri-La Region, the Sageland has Ivory Pearl tri-coat paint with bronze trim on the outside, and the interior is covered in Gray Nappa leather with red and blue stitching. The Urbane's look comes from the nightlife in the country's cities. The exterior is a color called Maximum Steel with Hyper Black trim. Inside, it combines Piano Black trim with dark red leather seats.

Stellantis says its 2021 performance has been better than expected

Thu, Jul 8 2021

MILAN — Stellantis softened up investors ahead of its electrification strategy event on Thursday by flagging that 2021 got off to a better-than-expected start despite a chip shortage that has hit automakers worldwide. Stellantis, which was formed in January from the merger of Italian-American automaker Fiat Chrysler and France's PSA, faces an investor community keen to hear how it plans to come up with a range of electrified vehicles (EVs) to rival Tesla. At its "EV Day 2021" kicking off at 1230 GMT, Stellantis will disclose significant investments in electrification technology and connected software as it aims to be an industry frontrunner, it said in a statement. In April, Chief Executive Carlos Tavares said it would offer low-emission versions — either battery or hybrid electric — of almost all of its European models by 2025, and they should make up 70% of European sales and 35% of U.S. sales by 2030. Stellantis, the world's fourth-biggest automaker, has 14 brands in its stable, including Jeep, Ram, Opel, Fiat, Peugeot and Maserati.   Stellantis EV Day coverage: Dodge will launch the 'world's first electric muscle car' in 2024 Fully electric Ram 1500 will begin production in 2024 Jeep will have 4xe plug-in hybrid models across the lineup by 2025 Stellantis teases mystery electric Chrysler concept Stellantis previews 4 electric platforms: Here's how they'll be used Fiat says all Abarth models to be electric from 2024 Opel Manta E will be the electric revival of the classic German coupe Stellantis says its 2021 performance has been better than expected   At a similar EV strategy event last week, French rival Renault announced that 90% of its main brand models would be all-electric by 2030, whereas previously it had included hybrids in its target. Germany's Volkswagen, the world's second-biggest automaker after Toyota, expects all-electric vehicles to make up 55% of its total sales in Europe by 2030, and more than 70% of sales at its Volkswagen brand. Stellantis said its margins on adjusted operating profits in the first half of 2021 were expected to exceed an annual target of between 5.5% and 7.5%, despite production losses due to a global shortage of semiconductor supplies. Stellantis shares listed in Milan were down 2.6% at 0920 GMT, underperforming the broader European car index. Bestinver analyst Marco Opipari said Thursday's news was positive but that the stock was suffering from profit taking as it had moved up about 20% since the end of April.

Jeep in St. Louis hacked from Pittsburgh

Tue, Jul 21 2015

One of America's most popular vehicles contains a security flaw that allows hackers to remotely commandeer it from anywhere on the planet. Cyber-security researchers Chris Valasek and Charlie Miller say they've accessed critical vehicle controls on a 2014 Jeep Cherokee that allowed them to remotely control critical vehicle functions like braking, transmission function, and steering. Automakers have downplayed the possibility a car could be remotely compromised, but the significance of the findings detailed Tuesday could cause them to reevaluate the threats posed to hundreds of thousands of vehicles already on the road. A key finding – the pair needed no physical access to the Jeep to pull off the attack. Valasek and Miller accessed the controls via a security hole in the Sprint cellular connection to Chrysler's UConnect infotainment system. In the course of their research, Valasek sat in his Pittsburgh home and remotely manipulated Miller's Jeep as he drove along a highway outside St. Louis. If you know a car's IP address, they say, a hacker could control it from anywhere. "We didn't add anything, didn't touch it," Valasek told Autoblog. "A customer could drive one of these things off a lot, and they'd have no clue it had these open attack surfaces." Remotely, he disabled brakes, turned the radio volume up, engaged windshield wipers and tampered with the transmission. Further, they could conduct surveillance on the Jeep, measuring its speed and tracking its whereabouts. They conducted the experiments over multiple breaches. They made their findings public on the same day the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the federal agency in charge of vehicle safety, released its latest report on the readiness of government and automakers to fend off these sorts of cyber attacks. Later today, two US Senators are expected to introduce legislation that would help consumers better understand the potential risks of car hacking. In the early stages of their research, Valasek and Miller found a security flaw in the car's wi-fi that allowed them to remotely manipulate controls from a range of about three feet. But in recent months, they found another vulnerability in the Sprint cellular connection in the UConnect system. That was a key breakthrough. "Lo and behold, we found we could communicate with this thing using cellular, and then more research, and 'Holy cow,' we're using the Sprint network to communicate with these vehicles," Valasek said.
