1995 Jeep Cherokee Country Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l on 2040-cars
Fort Ann, New York, United States
This jeep is for sale as is. I am the second owner. I bought it off of my parents so I've been around it my whole life. It has been sitting for 6 months and still fires right up. It runs great and heats up just fine. I rebuild the motor 2 years ago. The valve cover blew on it so i decided to do the head gasket since i was already taking most of it apart. It has roughly 9k on the rebuilt motor and still has a lot of life left in her. The 4 wheel drive has no problems going in and out of gear. The jeep has 2 spare tires. 5 matching rims and one none. I have all of the original manuel's and receipts for the vehicle if wanted. All work that has been done and work I've done myself. The title is clean. Has never been in an accident. There are small dents on the body from a bad hail storm we had a few years back.I didn't have the insurance coverage to fix it. I was going to make it an off road beast but i just don't have the funds for it. I have never taken it off road and beat on it. Just a little snow driving just to work the 4 wheel drive. Im selling the jeep as a parts vehicle. I thought about parting it out to make the max amount of money I could but I want it gone in one deal. All questions are welcome.

2014 Jeep Cherokee: Introduction
Tue, 27 May 2014When we look back at some of the more shocking product launches of recent yeras, the Jeep Cherokee is certainly high up on the list. And we aren't just talking about its off-the-wall, polarizing design.
For starters, it brought back the iconic Cherokee nameplate - something Jeep enthusiasts have coveted for ages. But beyond that, it brought a new evolution for the Jeep brand. After all, the Cherokee is car-based - using the same compact platform that underpins the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200. It has a greater focus on technology and refinement than ever before, in an effort to appeal to a new crop of Jeep customers. And powering it all is a new (optional) V6 engine paired with an equally new nine-speed automatic transmission.
Can the Cherokee's car-based roots still allow for a vehicle that's superb when the going gets tough? Will its design still be a love/hate affair in one year's time, or will it start to blend in? Is the powertrain strong enough to not only support the needs of daily driving and road trips, but blaze a few trails as well? We're aiming to answer all these questions, and more, over the next 12 months. Welcome to the Autoblog long-term garage, Cherokee.
Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Jeep appears to have nailed it this time. After two decades of assembling its Grand Cherokee sport utility vehicle, the American automaker has finally delivered a world-class off-roader capable of taking on everything in its segment - and more - with a high likelihood of coming out on top.
And if you drove last year's model, it's time to climb behind the wheel again as Jeep has significantly updated the SUV for 2014 with a bold new exterior appearance, an upgraded interior with enhanced electronics and a new transmission that completely transforms the way it drives.
We recently spent a full week with a dark blue 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4, a well-optioned model fitted with the standard gasoline-fed V6. While it didn't have the punch of the range-topping V8-powered SRT8, or the fuel-sipping economy of its new EcoDiesel sibling, the high-volume variant left us quite impressed.
