You are bidding on a nice daily driver 1994 Jeep Cherokee. I bought the vehicle two years ago off the original owner (Carfax will show three owners, but the guy I got it from had his dad purchase it for him new...aka sign on the dotted line). I have put almost thirty thousand miles on it without a single problem. It has an oil leak inside the oil filter housing which is a common leak. Parts to fix are less than $6 and it's easy to get to. My buddy quoted my $75 for his shop to do it which was without a discount. Plenty of threads on the web about this fix as well. I did have my buddy replace the valve cover gasket and the CCV grommets along with a heater hose and air filter. He was trying to track down the oil leak for me. It wasn't til after he replaced those parts did he find out it was coming from the oil filter housing.
The 4x4 works as it should, and the vehicle is excellent in the snow. A/C and heat also work great. This was a very well taken care of vehicle its entire life. The interior is ok with some stains on the seats and the driver's side carpet is pretty worn/stained. All the gauges work as they should. The rear wiper needs to be replaced. It is currently off the vehicle due to the previous owner having it broke while in a carwash. The splines are fine along with the motor and washer motor. You would just need to get an arm from the junkyard. Also, the rear bumperette on the DS is missing. Also another piece readily available at your local junk yard.
All in all this is a VERY nice daily driver. I work 30 miles one way from my house. This vehicle does the 300 miles a work week without a problem. Also gets me to my father's shop on Sunday's which is 58 miles one way. With that said, the vehicle is being sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied. The title is clear and in my possession. I have the right to end the auction at any time since I have it listed locally. A $250 non-refundable deposit is due within 24hours of auctions end. Full payment within 5 days. Send me an email if you would like to come see it or if you have any other questions or concerns. Thanks and good luck!!

Are we about to see a real SUV revival?
Wed, Mar 23 2016Now that the marketplace has been oversaturated with cute-utes, crossovers, and CUV coupes, are we about to see a resurgence of real, honest-to-God SUVs? Ummm... maybe. The stars seem to be aligning in that direction, at least that's the sense I'm getting. We know an all-new Jeep Wrangler is only a few auto shows away; and that Jeep is about to introduce a new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk for 2017, in the same rugged spirit of the successful Cherokee and Renegade Trailhawks. Ford has hinted at a neo-Bronco, after showing the concept above in 2014 to wet the mouths of all those Duck Dynasty-types out there. And, and... wait for it... I recently learned that Subaru sent a questionnaire out to some Forester owners asking if they might be interested in an off-road package if it were offered. The items listed were pretty hardcore, serious stuff, such as: integrated tow/recovery hooks, additional ground clearance, more rugged wheels, skid plates, altimeter, front-view off-road camera, improved approach and departure angles, advanced differentials, Inclinometer, full-size spare tire, upgraded off-road suspension components, more aggressive tires, off-road driving mode (engine, transmission, throttle, and steering settings), more rugged styling, low-range gearing, and a more advanced traction management system. Folks that's not my wish list (well, actually it is), but those are words from Subaru, asking if that's what customers would like to see. Need proof? Go to the SubaruForester.org website. It's in a discussion there. So... no promises or guarantees here, and feel free to call me a rumormonger if you like; but the next few years could prove very interesting for those who actually do go off road. If this pans out, remember, you read it here first. Related Video: Image Credit: Ford Ford Jeep Subaru Crossover SUV Off-Road Vehicles open road
Jeep Wrangler Copper Crawler is our idea of a restrained Mopar shopping spree
Thu, 07 Nov 2013According to a recent report, the Jeep Wrangler is the most popular SUV for customization, and this is backed up by the fact that the iconic off-roader was just named the Hottest 4x4-SUV at SEMA for the fourth year in a row. Looking for ways to keep its customers in-house rather than going aftermarket, Jeep and Mopar are always teaming to offer exciting new parts and pieces for the JK Wrangler.
Compared to most other Wranglers on display at SEMA - as well as other Chrysler Mopar SEMA concepts - the Jeep Wrangler Copper Crawler is surprisingly reserved, but should be no less exciting for owners to give their Wrangler a distinctive look. Starting off with an eye-catching copper paint scheme, the Jeep then goes on a Mopar catalog shopping spree with its matte black grille, black beadlock wheels, two-inch lift, Rubicon bumper (with a winch and aero end caps up front) and rocker panel and taillight guards.
Jeep also upgraded the Wrangler's transfer case for low-speed rock crawling (hence the vehicle's name) and cold-air intake for extra measure.
Australian Jeep marketing stunt goes awry [w/video]
Tue, 15 Jul 2014Jeep fans in Australia are none too happy with the off-road brand following a contest that saw ten new Cherokees sold for just $10,000 Australian (about $9,400), roughly a quarter of the vehicle's price Down Under.
The contest, called the "World's Most Remote Dealership," gave Aussies the chance to snag an ultra-affordable Cherokee Longitude (analogous to the US-spec Latitude trim), provided they could get to a secret dealership in the remote wilderness of western New South Wales, near the border with the state of South Australia.
In order to get the exact location of the dealership, though, potential customers needed to download an app, which would release a phone number 9:00 AM AEST on Thursday (7:00 PM EDT, Wednesday night). The first ten people who could call in and prove they could afford to finance $10,000 and get to the remote dealership, were given the location of the remote dealership.
