I am selling my 1994 Jeep Cherokee Country. I have owned the vehicle since 1995 and am the second owner. It has 267,000 miles on it. I ran synthetic oil in it since I have owned it. It has never been wrecked. The truck has new tires on it that I put on earlier this year and cost over $600.00. It has new brakes, shocks, and I replaced the starter earlier this year also. I have also replaced the radiator. It has a K&N Cold Air Intake on it, Throttle Body Spacer and a gutted catalytic converter. The motor is strong still and does not smoke and has good compression in all cylinders. I also put a new windshield in it this year too. I also sent the ECU off to have it refurbished. The interior is in good shape with no rips or tears. I replaced the carpet and headliner in it a few years back and while I did that, I used dynamat in the doors, ceiling, tail gate and double layered the floor and added the dynaliner to the floor also. So it is pretty quiet for a jeep. I built a fake floor in the back and there is an amplifier that runs the six speakers in the truck. Now for the not so good news. . .the transmission is going out. It will drive but I can hear the pump and I know it's fatal. I do not want to sell this truck but I don't want it to sit. It's been a great truck and my kids grew up in it but I sort of have to stop putting money in it right now. I'll sell it for what I have it listed for and nothing less because it's worth more than that to me. If I can't sell it for what I am asking I will just keep it and work on it next Spring and keep it as a second car. For the right person that has a tranny for it or can put one in it cheaper than me they would have a great truck. Let me know if you have any questions. Good Luck and Happy Bidding.

Chrysler accelerates Jeep recall repairs from 2018 to March
Thu, 17 Jul 2014
You may remember that Jeep's unusual fix for this recall involves fitting a trailer hitch.
The recall of about 1.5 million models of the 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty and 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee over fuel tanks may finish far sooner than originally estimated. In a new filing from Jeep's parent, Chrysler Group, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company says that it can complete the repairs for the affected vehicles by March 2015, much sooner than the previous estimate of sometime in 2018. Jeep predicts the total cost of the campaign will be around $151 million.
Jeep driver nearly gets washed away by fast moving river
Wed, May 11 2016Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should. For example, you should never attempt to cross a fast-moving river in a bone stock Grand Cherokee no matter how shallow the river looks. Especially if you don't know what you're doing. A video posted recently to the Facebook group Jeep EXPERIENCE, shows an inexperienced jeep driver learning that lesson the hard way. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. The video starts innocently enough, with a group of off-roaders watching one of their friends attempt to ford a shallow looking river. Things quickly go sideways however, when the driver of the silver Grand Cherokee just plunges right in and quickly gets in over his head. The river is moving faster than the driver thinks it is, the driver panics, makes some bad decisions, then the jeep is turned over and swept downstream. Eventually, the jeep is hauled out by a Land Rover after a long comedy of errors that involves one guy losing his trousers to the current and the Cherokee ingesting untold gallons of water. What went wrong here? Well, It's pretty obvious from the video that the Cherokee driver didn't have a clear idea of where he was going or about the condition of the riverbed. He chickened out halfway across the river, and in what appears to be a misguided attempt at turning back, he reverses, digs himself deeper in the riverbed, then turned broadside on into the current. When he changes his mind again and decides to just gun it for the opposite shore, he drives directly into a deep water hazard that would have been obvious to an experienced off-roader. At that point the jeep and the driver were doomed. Hopefully the driver learned a lesson here, and hopefully he didn't pollute that river too much with the jeep's fluids. 2014 Jeep Cherokee: June 2014
Wed, 09 Jul 2014I got a text message from Editor-In-Chief Sharon Carty one afternoon proclaiming that her new favorite SUV is our long-term 2014 Jeep Cherokee. And she's not alone. I'm not sure if anyone else on staff would go so far as to use the "favorite" descriptor, but after just over a month of honeymooning with our new long-termer, it's safe to say that the Jeep is quickly finding its way into the good graces of a number of Autoblog staffers.
There's good reason for all that praise, too. Thus far, the Jeep has proven itself to be incredibly competent and comfortable for daily life - it's functional, quiet, and packed with a host of amenities that make it easy to live with. It's been wholly trouble-free (with less than 4,000 miles on the clock as of this writing, it ought to be), but even nitpicks have been few and far between.
