Hello!  My name is Jin, and I am selling my 1989 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer.

Thanks for visiting my auction page! :)

Be sure to watch the video review of the Jeep that I linked below!!.

I had this Jeep for about 1 1/2 years, and I loved every moment that I had with it  :(
I am selling this car only because I have to go live in South Korea for the next 2-3 years.

I took EXCELLENT care of it. And although I never went off roading with this Jeep, I am a Jeep enthusiast!  I took extra care and put in a lot of love into keeping this car in a good condition.
Just like many other Jeep Cherokee owners, I did my own work and maintenance!  So I know very well about what this car is all about!

This car has very low mileage for its age (24 years old).  I purchased this Jeep from an old couple who only used this car for routine grocery shopping.  So it has low miles & never went off road.

Here are some of the work that I did.

1. Mobile 1 High Mileage Synthetic Oil every 5000 miles
2. New 3 row all metal radiator from radiatorbarn. This radiator is the best!! and it has lifetime warranty!
3. New Denso alternator from NAPA
4. New A/C Compressor
5. Routine tune up done by myself
6. New front diamond slotted rotors and brake pads

Here are some of the key features about this Jeep

1. 4x4 Works!!!
2. Power windows work!
3. Cruise control works!!! (lol)
4. New Pioneer stereo system
5. New headliner (nothing is ripping or falling apart)
6/ No Rust, No leaks!!!

Here is my VIDEO REVIEW of the Jeep!

Please watch it!  :P

Few Bad things -
- Power locks don't work :(
- Front driver side speaker does not work (rest work), speakers need to be replaced
- My current tires are 235/75/15, while stock specifications are 215/75/15 (i think) so the tires are larger than it's supposed to be. If you turn your steering wheel ALL THE WAY (and only all the way) to the left, you can hear the tires grinding just a little bit.
- Default installed internal clock is wrong, and I can't reset it.  Clock on the aftermarket stereo is fine though :P
- Front right power window has a little hard time operating.  If I put WD-40 around the window frame, and it works just fine.  But you know... :D

Few other things-

- This car has NEVER been in an accident/theft/flood/etc.. etc.  I paid for this vehicle's complete history report.  I have it in PDF file. I will send it to you if you request it :)
-  I own this vehicle, title is clean, no existing payments left or etc.
-  This Jeep passed VA inspection (VA inspections are pretty annoying...) in 05/13
- This Jeep is still my daily driver!  So, I think mileage could be around 154000-155000 by the time you purchase it.

IMPORTANT:  I leave to South Korea at the end of July.  So if you win the auction, please come pick it up quickly!

If you have ANY questions, feel free to send me a message!!

Thanks!

-Jin

2015 Jeep Renegade

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

It's no secret that the midsize crossover segment is one of the most hotly contested battlegrounds in the automotive industry. Long have vehicles like the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 duked it out for those ever illusive consumer dollars. For many customers, though, even something like a Nissan Rogue is too big, whether in terms of price, fuel economy or just plain size.
For those customers, a growing market segment seems poised to fulfill their needs. Compact crossovers and tall wagons like the Nissan Juke and Kia Soul offer the high-riding driving experience with all the utility that comes from their two-box layout. It's an underrepresented segment among manufacturers, with big names like Toyota, Ford, General Motors and Honda lacking a true competitor.
To capitalize on this growing class, Chrysler's Jeep brand has readied this: the Renegade. That's right. Not Jeepster - Renegade. This diminutive off-roader, which rides on Fiat Chrysler's new small-wide 4x4 architecture, represents Jeep's first foray into the subcompact CUV segment as we know it, and it's making its official debut this week, on the floor of the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Join us as we take a close look at one of Jeep's most important products in some time.

Chrysler resolves recall issue with NHTSA, will inspect, upgrade affected Jeeps

Tue, 18 Jun 2013

Chrysler made big news earlier in the month by refusing a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty. Last week, NHTSA boss David Strickland countered by defending his agency's request for the recall of 2.7 million Jeep SUVs. Today marked the deadline for Chrysler to formally respond to NHTSA, and it seems that both parties have met in the middle with Chrysler inspecting and upgrading some of the affected vehicles without using the word "recall," which would constitute the admission of a defect; instead, Chrysler said that it is conducting a "voluntary campaign."
At issue on these vehicles is the positioning of the fuel tank behind the rear axle that could get damaged during a rear-end collision. NHTSA has stated that at least 51 people have been killed in rear-end collisions involving these Jeeps after the vehicles caught fire, to which Chrysler countered by pointing out that both models "met and exceeded" the requirements for fuel-system integrity.
As a compromise on the situation, Chrysler says that it will inspect all pre-2004 Grand Cherokees and pre-2007 Liberty models and, "if necessary, provide an upgrade to the rear structure of the vehicle." According to Automotive News, this upgrade will consist of adding a trailer hitch that will presumably better protect the rear-mounted gas tank. Vehicles already equipped with a factory or Mopar hitch will not be modified. Chrysler's official statement on the matter is posted below, but no additional information has been released, such as when the campaign will begin and how many vehicles could be affected.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab Edition

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

There will forever be a soft spot in my heart for the Jeep Wrangler. The last one I owned was red, and, as a 1990 model, had the square headlights derided by Jeep enthusiasts who grew up on the Civilian Jeeps that descended from their General Purpose military ancestors. As a teenager, I couldn't have cared less what shape its headlights happened to be - to me, a Jeep Wrangler represented freedom; a carefree do-it-all machine equally at home with the top stowed away in the summer or with the heater on full blast in the snowy clutches of Old Man Winter. In Dr. Seuss parlance, my square-headlighted Sneetch was just as worthy as any round-headlighted Sneetch.
All that said, I'll be the first person to advise against buying a Jeep Wrangler of any sort for owners who don't plan to use it as its makers intend. There's no good reason to punish yourself with a stiff and springy ride, a loud and somewhat drafty (though generally water-resistant) interior or the poor fuel economy expected of a block-shaped vehicle if you don't enjoy its other, more exciting benefits.
Of course, Jeep has done its darndest over the years to make the Wrangler as civilized as possible while keeping it as capable as federal law will allow. The 2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab edition is one of Jeep's latest attempts to attract attention from the upper reaches of the active lifestyle set, and I spent a week with one to see what makes the Moab special.
