Thanks for taking time to check out my listing on my 1978 CJ7.We have had this Jeep for a while it looks runs and drives great and is very reliable.By no means is this a show piece or a trailered Jeep it can be driven anywhere and every where at any time. The Jeep has a new 2 bbl carb, electronic ignition, power steering (has slow leak been like that for years)35x15 Mud Terrains, header, working winch with remote and the 4x4 works properly with all stock running gear. The headlights, tail lights, brake lights, volt, temp and oil pressure gauge all work properly,The gas gauge works on and off.The Jeep has a highlift jack,PA system full size spare and front locking hubs. This CJ is very reliable brakes nice and straight and the clutch works well it is a 3 speed transmission and cruises 55-60 mph with ease. The CJ has a marine stereo with two marine 6x9 speakers and both front and rear seat belts. Please look at all the pics carefully they where just taken. The Jeep has a clean and clear Florida title and transportation is the responsibility of the lucky new owner its a great old Jeep that gets attention everywhere i drive it but is sold AS IS.The Jeep does have some rust and lots of patina and the four tires have some dry rot,the spare is new and does not have wipers but like i said you can drive it anywhere anytime and not have to worry about it,its very fun to drive and safe i drive with my kids in it around town on a regular basis. Thanks for looking and Good Luck !!

Jeep going bigger with new Grand Wagoneer, smaller with sub-Renegade?
Tue, 11 Mar 2014The headlines are still rolling in for the new Renegade that Jeep unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but already reports are surfacing, citing sources within the company, about what Chrysler's iconic off-road brand will do next.
Speaking with Auto Express (whose reports we tend to take with a grain of salt or two), Jeep chief Mike Manley suggested that two courses of action are currently under consideration at Auburn Hills to develop two very different new models - one smaller and one larger than anything Jeep currently makes.
One plan would be to make an SUV or crossover even smaller than the new Renegade, although it isn't immediately clear what platform it would take. The Renegade (pictured above in Trailhawk spec) will be built in Italy alongside Fiat's upcoming 500X, but uses a heavily modified platform. We figure the smaller model, if approved, could base itself on the new Fiat Panda Cross.
Freak accident during Jeep demonstration turns fatal
Mon, 20 May 2013A 20-year-old woman was killed in Edmonton, Canada on Satuday, reports CTV News, in a freak accident resulting from a rollover during a Jeep demonstration. As part of a fundraising enthusiast event called "Jeeps Go Topless," the driver of one Jeep Wrangler drove up and onto the top of the tire of another.
CTV reports that the owner of the topmost Jeep then switched the vehicle off, posed for pictures and then dismounted from his vehicle. His movement off of the Jeep apparently caused it to tip over, crushing a woman who was on top of an adjacent vehicle. Edmonton police are currently investigating more fully what caused the parking lot accident to occur. Scroll below to watch the CTV News video report about this tragic incident.
100,000 Jeep Cherokee models subject to further 9-speed recalibration
Thu, 29 May 2014It seems that the software problems with the nine-speed automatic gearbox in the Jeep Cherokee continue to mount. The programming already caused multiple development delays and even postponed the Cherokee's market launch by roughly two months. Now, Jeep has issued another recalibration to hopefully assuage unhappy drivers.
According to Automotive News, this reflash for the allegedly jerky transmission covers over 100,000 Cherokees built before May 5, but it's not technically a recall. If owners are having problems and complain to the dealer, they get the new software. Otherwise, they continue with the current version. New vehicles on dealer lots also receive the latest revision to the programming. It takes only around five minutes to install, but technicians need to take the Cherokee on a test drive to adapt the gearbox to the changes.
The Cherokee's transmission software has been problematic practically since the beginning. The Jeep plant in Toledo, OH, briefly idled its second-shift workers last year to take care of the issue. Since the launch issues for the crossover, demand has been strong. Jeep added another 1,000 temporary workers to the Toledo factory to keep up, and sales were on par with the Wrangler in just its first two months.
