This is an 84 Jeep CJ7 that I did a frame off rework of it 5 years ago, posi rear axle, manual turn out front hubs, custom wiring harness with MSD Street fire Ignition, with REV LIMITER set at a LOW 3600 RPMS you can adjust it easy just by opening the glove box and turning the numbered dial I enjoyed the benefits of the MSD box without the risks of over reving and blowing up the motor! Larger Ford Distributor, Accel Plug wires, 100amp Alternator, 2100 carb swap, LED tail lights, this is a GREAT jeep I am planning on relocating and cant take this with me. This is a 1984 it is NOT in mint condition it has not been run much in the past 2 years, But I have used it to plow my drive way this winter starts up every-time, it has a Dual battery system for lots of Extra power for the Fisher/ Western plow pump or during the summer there is a receiver welded into the front frame to accept a 2 inch Winch basket! the Rims Pictured DO NOT come with it it now has Black Factory CJ7 steel rims with 33x10.5 x 15 BF Mud Terrains on it. it runs and shifts GREAT! with some TLC this could be a daily driver with is HUGE POLY Fuel tank, or use it for a Weekend Warrior! .......... IT also has a Full Size 33 Spare BFG not pictured but on the Jeep not and it also has a grey top on it now with proper pack window. It comes with a manual steering box and belt driven plow pump if you choose to put it back to that, HOWEVER I enjoy Power steering and the electro/hydraulic plow better, but it comes with both so the option is yours.

2015 Jeep Renegade
Tue, 04 Mar 2014It's no secret that the midsize crossover segment is one of the most hotly contested battlegrounds in the automotive industry. Long have vehicles like the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 duked it out for those ever illusive consumer dollars. For many customers, though, even something like a Nissan Rogue is too big, whether in terms of price, fuel economy or just plain size.
For those customers, a growing market segment seems poised to fulfill their needs. Compact crossovers and tall wagons like the Nissan Juke and Kia Soul offer the high-riding driving experience with all the utility that comes from their two-box layout. It's an underrepresented segment among manufacturers, with big names like Toyota, Ford, General Motors and Honda lacking a true competitor.
To capitalize on this growing class, Chrysler's Jeep brand has readied this: the Renegade. That's right. Not Jeepster - Renegade. This diminutive off-roader, which rides on Fiat Chrysler's new small-wide 4x4 architecture, represents Jeep's first foray into the subcompact CUV segment as we know it, and it's making its official debut this week, on the floor of the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Join us as we take a close look at one of Jeep's most important products in some time.
2015 Jeep Renegade Sport 4x4 Quick Spin [w/video]
Tue, Jun 23 2015Which is the most entertaining Jeep Renegade you can get? While one might make an argument for the Trailhawk model and its accompanying off-road hardware and consequential go-anywhere ability, that car comes with one glaring flaw – its 2.4-liter engine and nine-speed automatic transmission just aren't very entertaining. Instead, I submit the turbocharged, 1.4-liter base engine and its accompanying six-speed manual, a position that was reinforced after a recent stint behind the wheel of a very basic Sport 4x4. Not only do you get a fair amount of the Trailhawk's off-road ability – the Selec-Terrain system and a 4WD Lock mode are standard, but you'll be without the 20:1 crawl ratio and Rock off-road mode – you'll also enjoy a more dynamically interesting powertrain. Read on to see why the force-induced Renegade might just be the way to go. Driving Notes My first date with the Renegade was on the mostly empty, winding roads of northern California. There, the 1.4-liter turbocharged inline-four with 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque felt fine – with no traffic and few stoplights along the drive route, it was easy to keep the engine on boil. But this engine isn't as enjoyable in day-to-day suburban traffic. Power arrives suddenly – peak torque comes between 2,500 and 4,000 rpm – and if you don't use it, you lose it. There's not much oomph in the higher end of the rev range. With such a peaky powerband, it's easy to get caught flat-footed if you're not paying attention. Thankfully the manual transmission makes it simple to stay engaged and in the correct gear. The stick-shift is enjoyable to use, with a firm clutch that's easy to modulate and shift action that isn't sloppy or vague. The 1.4-liter engine sounds good. Turn down the stereo, stomp on the throttle, and you'll be treated to a delicious turbo whistle and a smooth exhaust note. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I want Mopar to offer the Fiat 500 Abarth's exhaust on the Renegade. It'd be fun. If you do prefer the stereo, know that the Renegade's standard four-speaker unit is weak. Base models don't offer Bluetooth or satellite radio, but you can add both of those luxuries, two extra speakers, and a five-inch touchscreen for just $695. Not a bad bargain. The Koni frequency selective dampers do an excellent job of managing both small, frequent imperfections (like freeway expansion joints), and the bigger potholes that still haven't been fixed after the havoc of Detroit's winter.
