86 Jeep Cj-7 in restored condition. I bought this CJ about 6 years ago after years of searching for a rust free '86 with 5 speed, Dana 30/40 combo and Dana 300 transfer. I have installed many new parts and have garaged it always. This CJ was originally from CA so it is rust free. The Jeep was media blasted down to all original metal and has no bondo or replacement panels. It was painted ($6000) about 4 years ago Alaskan Blue Metallic. I put a new 4.2L motor about 1000 miles ago and that is all it has been driven over the last 4 years. I am reluctant to sell due to the condition but we are moving and need to part with. I have taken very good care of this jeep and recently drove this to Durango with no issues. There are a few things that are not perfect such as the vent/heat pull switch but all gauges work and is a blast to drive. The Jeep just passed emissions this week with no problems. I also had the front end tightened and lubed this week so it handles great. Here is a list of many of the new parts

FCA facing class-action lawsuit over Grand Cherokee shifters

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is now facing a multi-million-dollar class-action lawsuit over the recalled shifter design in the 2014 and 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the 2012 to 2014 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300. Grand Cherokee owners, galvanized by Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin's fatal accident, filed the suit. According to The Wall Street Journal, the owners allege that FCA concealed the shifter's problems. On top of restitution, the class action suit is demanding a court order force FCA to issue a do-not-drive warning to owners of affected vehicles until it fixes the problem. FCA started distributing a software fix to dealers last week – according to the WSJ, the update will add more warnings about the shifter's position and will automatically kick the vehicle into park if the driver steps out. FCA's shifter problems have been bubbling under the surface as part of the company's recall issues. The US government dinged FCA with a $105 million fine last year for its recall practices (or lack thereof) last year, but things have exploded this week after Yelchin's death. The 27-year-old, best known for playing Ensign Pavel Chekov in the rebooted Star Trek film series, was killed after his 2015 Grand Cherokee rolled down his driveway and pinned the actor against a security gate. According to Jeep CEO Mike Manley, the company will dispatch engineers to analyze Yelchin's vehicle. Related Video:

There were three shiny trophies handed out at the Washington Auto Show last week by Green Car Journal, and they went to three different examples of what "green" means in the automotive industry today. The Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel won the award for the 2015 Green SUV of the Year, the BMW i8 was named the 2015 Luxury Green Car of the Year and the Ford F-150 took the 2015 Green Car Technology Award honor. There is a case to be made that the aluminum body of the new Ford truck will make a bigger impact in the overall fuel usage in the US than almost any other vehicle, given the numbers of F-150s that Ford sells each year. The B20 biodiesel-capable Jeep gets up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway. And the i8 puts all sorts of new, fuel-saving technologies into an attractive package.
