Awesome 4x4 ready for trail, rock crawling, hunting, or highway. Want to impress you friends with this AMC 304 V8 equipped jeep? This will beat any TJ, YJ, Wrangler, or Cherokee on any four wheel drive trail. Whether it's your first jeep, or you are ready to own another customizable jeep with a great foundation, YOU MUST SEE THIS 1! The tub is immaculate, and rust free...NO LEAKS...this is a rare find!

105,000 original miles, and the rebuilt AMC 304 was put in only 30,000 miles ago. Finish my restoration by putting in a Chevy 350, LS, (ready to connect with adapter kit, not included) or put a 4 barrel intake/carb combo. Yours to customize. 5th tire and wheel included. Title clear, notarized, and ready to sell. Tow ready as well. Reverse lights on gate engage when put in reverse. "Minor issue" in car report is when the original frame was coming apart (CJ7s had poor frames back then), and I had it replaced by the insurance. Drives well on and off road...including the highway.

Ready for the list of what I've done?...Here you go:
-Replaced master/slave clutch cylinders
-Put shackles on front/rear
-Rancho 2.5" leaf spring suspension lift
-20 gallon gas tank with skid cover
-Dana 300 transfer case

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel and SRT climb onto stage

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

This is indeed a case of not knowing how much we wanted something until it arrived. We've been big fans of the Jeep Grand Cherokee ever since the new model arrived a couple of years ago, and while the update you see here might seem just a slight refresh, it's actually much more than that.
For starters, the 2014 Grand Cherokee marks the return of a diesel model here in the States, with Chrysler's new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 under the hood, churning out 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, all of the Grand Cherokee's usual off-road goodies are on hand, with moderate tweaks to make it an even more capable vehicle when the going gets rough. Both the gasoline-fed 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter V8 get the new eight-speed auto, as well.
The high-performance Grand Cherokee SRT also trudges on into the new model year, with very subtle tweaks found underneath the aggressive, slightly redesigned sheetmetal. The 6.4-liter Hemi V8 also gets eight-speed gearing, which Chrysler says will improve not only 0-60 times, but mid-range performance as well. Bring it on, we say.

Fiat Chrysler CEO says final merger talks with Peugeot going well

Thu, Jan 23 2020

BRUSSELS — Fiat Chrysler's chief executive Michael Manley said on Wednesday that merger talks with Peugeot owner PSA  to create the world's No. 4 carmaker are progressing well and he hopes to have a deal within 12-14 months. Speaking to Reuters on the sidelines of an industry meeting, he said he doesn't expect any major obstacles that could delay a final agreement. "Talks are progressing really well," Manley said about negotiations with the French carmaker ahead of a briefing by the European automotive association (ACEA), of which he is president. His comments come a month after the two carmakers agreed to a binding deal worth about $50 billion to combine forces in response to a slowdown in global demand and mounting costs of making cleaner vehicles amid tighter emissions regulations. Manley's timeline for completing the deal by early 2021 is in line with a forecast made by the companies in December. Fiat and Peugeot are now getting into the details of how the merger will work, including choosing which vehicle platforms — the technological underpinnings of a vehicle — will fit which products in a combined company. Because customers in different locations still prefer vastly different cars, there is room for multiple platforms in a combined group, Manley said. "That global platform is an elusive beast," he added. "This concept of a massive global platform in my mind is almost a myth, but that doesnÂ’t mean to say weÂ’re not going to recruit significant volume." Related Video:

Maker Insists Feds Overstate Risk Of Fires With Grand Cherokee, Liberty Models
It's not often that recall stories make it above the fold, in that old newspaper parlance, but when one shows up as the lead story on the network evening news programs, you know it's something big.
And so it is with Chrysler snubbing its nose at a request by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to recall 2.7 million Jeeps the feds insist are at risk of potentially catastrophic fuel tank fires in a rear-end collision.
