1984 JEEP CJ7 PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION. I purchased this about 8 years ago with a cracked block. I have been building jeeps for myself and dealers for years. I ripped the entire suspension off the jeep and started from scratch. Its equipped with a Rubicon Express 4" kit with after market shackles, A chopped down Dana 44 front axle with ford F150 disc brakes, An ARG steering gear box, Detachable front sway bar, Chopped down Dana 44 Rear axle set up with disc brake and full floating axles. Both axles have posi traction units and are set up with 488 gears. The Engine is a 1991 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 HO fuel injected it was showing around 89K when installed in 2004. I have put maybe 20k on the Jeep since it was completed. The transmission is a rebuilt New Process 435 truck 4 speed with granny low Adapted to a Dana 300 Transfer case with an Advance Adapter kit. The Transfer case was also rebuilt at that time. New drive shafts were also built. It has 33x12.50R15 Pro Comp Extreme X/T tires and a BF Goodrich MT as a spare. 15x10 black spoke wheels. This install is done with perfection including a modified fuel pump inside the tank. The wiring harness has been master in the the factory Jeep harness. I even removed the brake light red warning light in the speedo and installed a yellow check engine light from a ford instrument cluster, and yes it works! The exhaust manifold is factory jeep into an aftermarket Cat and a flow tech muffler complete system that exits out the rear. It's complete with the factory hard top and doors I have a Bimini top also and some vinyl half doors that are included, It's equipped with a warn 8000 pound winch with close to 300 feet of IWR cable and A high lift jack, it also has a poly storage box behind the rear seat. I think I have a spare rear axle shaft and a locking hub or to that has never been needed. This jeep was built and ran through the Rubicon within a week of completion It crawls with out hesitation and idles up and over rocks like it was born to do it. It has never so much as lost a bolt after the build and has been through over 5 times over the years. I have used it for hunting and day trips. In the last three years I haven t used it much so it needs a new home. The only damage to the body is the hood that blew open one winter when I forgot the latch it down, it's rust free and fires right up even after sitting for almost a year. I have a clean title but the vehicle need to go to a referee station for the smog if purchased for California use.

Jeep going bigger with new Grand Wagoneer, smaller with sub-Renegade?
Tue, 11 Mar 2014The headlines are still rolling in for the new Renegade that Jeep unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but already reports are surfacing, citing sources within the company, about what Chrysler's iconic off-road brand will do next.
Speaking with Auto Express (whose reports we tend to take with a grain of salt or two), Jeep chief Mike Manley suggested that two courses of action are currently under consideration at Auburn Hills to develop two very different new models - one smaller and one larger than anything Jeep currently makes.
One plan would be to make an SUV or crossover even smaller than the new Renegade, although it isn't immediately clear what platform it would take. The Renegade (pictured above in Trailhawk spec) will be built in Italy alongside Fiat's upcoming 500X, but uses a heavily modified platform. We figure the smaller model, if approved, could base itself on the new Fiat Panda Cross.
Chrysler's Woodward Dream Cruise festivities include Ram concept truck debut
Tue, 13 Aug 2013The streets will be crowded next weekend along Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, Michigan for the 19th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise. As part of the run-up to the festivities, Chrysler has announced that all of its brands - Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, SRT and Mopar - will bring along their latest vehicles. Also included will be a collection of classic American cars and various activities for attendees at the official Chrysler location on the corner of Woodward and 13 Mile Road.
Special to this year, Ram brand director Bob Hegbloom and head of design John Dehner will unveil a Ram concept truck on Saturday. Chrysler will also bring Ryan Friedlinghaus of West Coast Customs fame along to show off a few custom Chrysler-made vehicles of his own. Fans of the brand on Facebook will get the chance to virtually customize a vehicle from the automaker's portfolio, with the winner getting their dream car built for them by Chrysler. Pretty cool stuff, no?
As in past years, Ford and General Motors will have an official presence at the event as well, and you can expect to see plenty of cars of all makes and models from all parts of the globe. The madness starts this Friday, August 16, from 4:30 PM to 10 PM, with the main event taking place on Saturday, from 9 AM to 9 PM. Stellantis expects to hit emissions target without Tesla's help
Tue, May 4 2021Franco-Italian carmaker Stellantis expects to achieve its European carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions targets this year without environmental credits bought from Tesla, its CEO said in an interview published on Tuesday. Stellantis was formed through the merger of France's PSA and Italy's FCA, which spent about 2 billion euros ($2.40 billion) to buy European and U.S. CO2 credits from electric vehicle maker Tesla over the 2019-2021 period. "With the electrical technology that PSA brought to Stellantis, we will autonomously meet carbon dioxide emission regulations as early as this year," Stellantis boss Carlos Tavares said in the interview with French weekly Le Point. "Thus, we will not need to call on European CO2 credits and FCA will no longer have to pool with Tesla or anyone." California-based Tesla earns credits for exceeding emissions and fuel economy standards and sells them to other automakers that fall short. European regulations require all car manufacturers to reduce CO2 emissions for private vehicles to an average of 95 grams per kilometer this year. A Stellantis spokesman said the company is in discussions with Tesla about the financial implications of the decision to stop the pooling agreement. "As a result of the combination of Groupe PSA and FCA, Stellantis will be in a position to achieve CO2 targets in Europe for 2021 without open passenger car pooling arrangements with other automakers," he added. Tesla's sales of environmental credits to rival automakers helped it to announce slightly better than expected first-quarter revenue this week. The next tightening of European regulations will soon be the subject of proposals from the European Commission. The 2030 target could be lowered to less than 43 grams/km.
